Re: [JAWS-Users] Working in a call centre with JAWS
yes, What specific questions do you have? The JAWS find, insert control f will probably be your friend when you have to find information that is not within an office settting. Of course, this is just a good guess sense I don't know what kind of programs you will be using. If it is internet based, then it should be a breeze provided the software is compatible with JAWs. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Grant Hardy Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2010 10:40 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Working in a call centre with JAWS Hi all, Has anyone used JAWS in a call centre type situation? Re: [JAWS-Users] Working in a call centre with JAWS
I have used Jaws and a braille display. With my hearing loss, it is diffic ult fo rme to work with Jaws in one ear and cuswtomer int he other. it's too hard for me to keep up that way. Therefore, the braille display comes in handy at that point. Re: [JAWS-Users] Working in a call centre with JAWS
Grant: There's no way of telling how Jaws will perform using any Companies system until its put to the test. Its best to get your States technology department to test it out. They might have to write some Jaws scripts in order to make it accessible for you. This is usually the case. Reese - Original Message - Hi all, Has anyone used JAWS in a call centre type situation? Re: [JAWS-Users] Working in a call centre with JAWS
I have used jaws in a call center environment. It's going to be 50 50 as to whether the software is accessible. I've seen it where it was totally accessible from the get go and where it was not. I don't know about the software you mentioned. If the software turns out not to be accessible, you might be able to have the university get a jaws scripter to make it accessible. Hope this helps. I have used Jaws in a call center environment. I don't know if those programs will work with Jaws. Here in Idaho, I would ask my Commission for the Blind to send out one of their specialists to check it out and see. That is the only solution I can offer.
