Re: [JAWS-Users] re-display adapters

2012-01-03 Thread Patti

Hey Jim,
I removed one mirror, and I don't have much stuttering when I turn on my
laptop. There is still just a little bit.

Thanks for the help.
Patti

Hi Patti and joni:
If you wish to remove the first mirror driver.
go to device manager
tab to the tree view, press D until you here, display adapters closed
Press right arrow key to open the list
Arrow down to the first F S mirror driver
press the application key
Arrow down to uninstall and press enter.
follow the prompts and restart your computer when you are done.
It does not hurt to leave them there if you wish to, it just makes things
more clean and organized in your computer.
I noticed some stuttering of the speech of Jaws when I first noticed that
there were four mirror drivers installed on my computer.
this is why I removed three of the mirror drivers , things are running
smooth and the Jaws voice is nice and clear again.

Hi Jamie:
You only need one F S mirror driver on your computer. No hurry, when you get a
chance call F S tech. support and let them walk you through the process of
getting down to one driver.
I am comfortable enough that I changed mine, however, I would not recommend
someone doing so unless they know their way around the device manager.
I hope this helps.

Does it matter which one I unstall?
I can get to the device manager and the display adapter area
Then I used the application key to up arrow to uninstall
Does it matter which one I uninstall?
My computer is working just fine with the two there so
What would you do?

I have three of those mirror drivers.
I also have three versions of JAWS on the PC, as I always keep the
previous version to the new one, and haven't gotten around to removing
JAWS 11.

Is that why the three drivers?
Does it matter?
PC seems to be running fine.

have 2 FS mirror drivers showing. Is there a problem leaving them there?
