That be easy now, because I moved almost all the new stuff under:

in contrast to the old

I'll move it

[JBoss-dev] [JBossCache] - Re: Problem with transaction isolation?

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Tim,

You are right. I had to retract my statement. It does support multiple threads
locally since we do have a test case TxConcurrentBankUnitTestCase for this. :-)

In terms of isolation level, there should be no difference though. I mean even
if you are using AS tm, the locking behavior across cluster should be the same.

Having said that, it is still recommended only for testing purpose though.

[JBoss-dev] [JBossCache] - Re: Proposal for JBoss Cache events

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Tim,

If this proposal is just to get aop to emit an object-based event, then I am
adding a new feature in TreeCacheAop (release 1.2.2) that allows customed
dynamic interceptor. You can then add an EventIntecetor after the current
CacheInterceptor to intercept and emit object level event based on the field RW
ops.

Will this do what you want to do?

BTW, we also have a design forum called Design of JBossCache. We should use
that one more often. :-)

Hi Thomas,

Have a look at this thread:

http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopict=58900

To solve our problem, I just removed the driver jars from my .ear and put them
instead in JBoss lib under the default server. I did not get the exception on
redeploy since then.

Cheers.

The deploy task unzip the file core/src/bin/setup/cms-content.zip (AFAIR) in
the data directory of JBoss. It is done automatically.

[JBoss-dev] [JBossCache] - Re: Exception on hot re-deploy of EAR using JBossCache

2005-01-21 Thread tcherel
Thanks for the pointer.

In my case, I do not have any JDBC driver jar in my ear.
But I suppose that putting the JBossCache jars (the error is occuring on a
JBossCache class) in the server/lib instead of the EAR will solve the problem.
I do not like the idea too much as I'd like to have my EAR as portable as
possible from one app server to another, avoiding any global classpath changes,
if possible.

Thomas

[JBoss-dev] [Design of the JBoss EJB Container] - Re: CORBA callback and EJB

2005-01-21 Thread fruehbeck
I don't know if you are still working on that topic, but anyhow..

It is NOT true, that interworking is not possible implementing a externally
defined CORBA interface.
I am interworking with a CORBA system using plain EJBs.
You just need a small CORBA wrapper called (typically) TIE implementation.

I did it like the following:

EJBs implement the CORBA-Interface (simple)

ejbCreate() {
// pass the EJBObject to CORBAServer to not overrule the containers
invocation stack
   registerEJBObjectinCORBAServer(
   new MyEJBObjectsTIE(context.getEJBObject())
   );

ejbRemove(){
deRegisterEJBObjectfromCORBAServer();
}

Then you just need a means to transport the generated CORBA Object to
any remote client, so that it may be invoked.

Have fun with JBoss!!

If you have any questions about that, post it on this topic 8-)

2005-01-21 Thread ArturasB
Hi everyone.

As far as I know the interceptor is responsible for setting the global MIME
type. I would like to ask if there is a possibility to set the global MIME type
somewhere in the configuration ? Or mayby pass a paramerter which will forse
the portal to switch the MIME type for a certain session.

Why am I asking such questions ? I have a dream ;) to build up a WAP (in all
meanings of this - WML, xHTML, cHTML) portal on top of JBoss Portal. So, I need
a way to tell the portal what mime type I would like to have for my session.

And one more thing, it's very important too when dealing with WAP stuff - the
composition of the page. Portlets are displayed all (regardless of state) on a
page they belong to. And this is OK when you come to the portal from the web.
You have big screan and other abilities to see very rich content.
Then imagine you're browsing the portal with the SonyEricsson P900. You still
have posibility to see quite rich content - the P900 supports xHTML, a subset
of HTML. But you'll probably want to have links to your portlets on your pages
instead of portlets itself.

We have the great time right now - the alpha state of the portal ;), this means
we still can add more usefull functionality to the product. Imagine you're able
to submit your content (information and services) once and to reach it via
different channels - web, wap (WML, xHTML, cHTML). Yes, I know the write once
- debug evereywhere problem ;), but I believe that human beings like
challenges ;).

What do you think about this ? Do you see it usefull ?

Best regards,
Arturas B.

definitely what jboss portal can do.

how it should be done is browser detection :

a user makes a request, the interceptor uses the browser name to choose the
content type for the request.

I said how it should be implemented, however it's not our priority now to do
it. That means that you either have to hardcode your content type in this
interceptor and recompile or code it.

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
We need to first resolve how to upload files into some directory (e.g.
./console/deploy) and have some control over that (i.e. know when uploading is
succesfully completed).

I'll ask Tom to see what the status of this WRT remoting.

A related question I have is how those pages (e.g. JIRA attachement upload
facility) work?

The big picture is that the console WebApp will be able to manage either it's
own host server, or one or more remote servers, correct?

In the first case uploading is really something between the web-browser and the
webapp, since the webapp is collocated with the server, no?

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Build System] - Re: New Build in JBoss-Head

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I've already added that to the new build:

  | component
  | mkdir dir=@{output}/etc/
  | copy todir=@{output}/etc filtering=yes
  |fileset dir=@{component.dir}/src/etc/ includes=**/
  |filterset
  | filter token=java.vm.version
value=@{component.build.VMVersion}/
  | filter token=java.vm.vendor
value=@{component.build.VMVendor}/
  | filter token=specification.title
value=@{component.specTitle}/
  | filter token=specification.version
value=@{component.specVersion}/
  | filter token=specification.vendor
value=@{component.specVendor}/
  | filter token=implementation.title
value=@{component.implTitle}/
  | filter token=implementation.url
value=@{component.implURL}/
  | filter token=implementation.version
value=@{component.implVersion}/
  | filter token=implementation.vendor
value=@{component.implVendor}/
  | filter token=implementation.vendor.id
value=@{component.implURL}/
  |/filterset
  | /copy
  | /component
  |

The idea would be to extend this to add other information that will be useful
at runtime (including for support purposes).

In this case it would be a list of what a particular jar uses at runtime,
Rather than just a list of jars, this could also include thirdparty version
information and licenses.

We could also indicate that some are optional, e.g. jboss-common.jar
doesn't need log4j.jar (it is an optional plugin for logging with log4j)

We don't need to do this for thirdparty jars, only the our jars.

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Ultimately we do want this for thirdparty jars for support as very few projects
actually correctly tag their jars so its difficult to know what version of x is
in jboss. The new thirdparty management mechanism should make this information
available and should encode it as part of the dist build if not the jars
themselves.

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Admin Console] - Re: Datasource Component Design - Updating JBoss AS

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Guess there are two points from my perspective. The first, which Dimitris
already touched on, what is going to be the interface on the client end? If
this is a web browser, then can just have a servlet for the upload of the jar
(which will obviously not require remoting and should be pretty straight
forward).

If client is fat client (swing or SWT) or if have a master server that will
replicate the deployments out, then can use remoting for distributing the file.
My idea for doing this (is not implemented yet), is to provide a way to pass
an inputstream to remoting, which will then call on the server handler and pass
a proxy to it with its type being the same as what was passed on the client.
Then when the server handler code asks to read it, the proxy will call across
the wire and do the read. Don't know for sure that this will work, but it
should. I do however expect it to be a little slow, but at least you won't
have to load the whole file in memory (which would have to do otherwise if not
streamed).

Which is the limitation to this simple fileDrop command I am implementing - the
entire file contents must be shipped to the remote service that will write the
file on the remote box.

What if you need to ship the file to several remote endpoints (as in the case
when you want to remotely write out a config file or deployment sar to multiple
nodes on the network) - you would need mulitple remote streams, no?

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Eclipse IDE (dev)] - Syntax Highlighting

2005-01-21 Thread ken_n_hutchinson
I was very excited to download the IDE from JBoss since I am a big fan of what
Eclipse is trying to accomplish. Why they don't include JSP syntax
highlighting by default blows my mind. So I thought JBoss had finally
delivered to me the holy grail of open source IDEs.

To my disappointment, the syntax highlighting is very basic. Again, mind
blowing how little effort is being put into this by those developing Eclipse
plugins. At this point I would pay for a plugin that did this the way
Intelli-J does. I have no reason to move away from JetBrains and I was really
hoping I could.

Eclipse3.0 is a vast improvement and the JBoss IDE is a great tool in
general... probably the best plugin I've seen for Eclipse. However, I won't
use it until some real effort is put into the JSP editor. I'm big on EJBs and
all, but a great deal of my time is working on JSP.

This tool should do what Intelli-J does and what eclipse does for normal class
files.

* More than 2-3 colors for highlighting
* Offset JavaScript in an entirely different background from JSP code and HTML
* Offset color for comments.
* AT THE VERY LEAST (and this is a deal breaker) - Allow the CTL click
navigation of code (from invocation to declaration) the way it already does
with normal .java files. I mean, seriously!

COTS IDEs are expensive for a reason... they offer A LOT of functionality.
Open source needs to compete on this level.

My apologies to all the VI and notepad coders who I'm sure are rolling their
eyes at my whining. I'm sure you think Eclipse is already overkill :)

Right now, would have to write something in front of remoting to have a
remoting client for each target server. In the future, will be adding ability
to have multiple target endpoints for a remoting call. However, this is
probably a ways off (at least a few months unless gets bumped up on priority

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Admin Console] - Re: Datasource Component Design - Updating JBoss AS

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Here are a couple of the simpler scenarios...

Case 1: Administering a single JBoss instance which is local to the Admin
Console, i.e. the Admin Console is running inside the instance which is being
administered. This the only case we truely care about for the first phase of
Admin Console development:

0) User comes to the Admin Console.
1) They choose to create a datasource and browse to the driver jar on their
local machine.
2) They submit the form to create the Datasource which causes the driver jar to
be uploaded to a folder on the machine where the Admin Console is running, e.g.
C:\jboss\server\default\adminconsole\uploads. This is all provided for us
courtesy of Struts (http://wiki.apache.org/struts/StrutsFileUpload)
3) The user presses the commit button to make the Datasource creation permanent.
4) The Admin Console then passes the Datasource definition information,
including a URL to the driver jar, e.g.
file://C:/jboss/server/default/adminconsole/uploads/mydriver.jar, into a POJO
service
5) This POJO service calls the createModule() operation on the
DeploymentService MBean.
6) The DeploymentService works its magic to produce the appropriate SAR file in
C:\jboss\server\default\deploy, for example.

Case 2: Administering a single JBoss instance which is remote to the Admin
Console, i.e. the Admin Console is running inside JBoss on one machine and we
are trying to administer a different JBoss instance which is running on a
separate machine.

0) User comes to the Admin Console and chooses which remote server to
administer.
1), 2), 3) as above
4) The Admin Console passes the Datasource definition information, including a
URL to the driver jar, into the JBoss Network CommandClient on the local
machine.
5) JBoss/Remoting magic happens. What I'm essentially saying is that how the
driver jar gets from the local machine to the remote machine is an
implementation detail of the JBoss Network Command Framework and
JBoss/Remoting. It should not be a concern of the Admin Console or
DeploymentService.
6) The appropriate JBoss Network CommandService gets called on the remote
machine with the information which was passed to the CommandClient.
7) The CommandService calls the POJO serivce passing in all the data it
received. This is analagous to step 4) above.
8) As step 5) above.
9) As step 6) above.

So overall I guess I'm saying there is a generic problem to be solved which is:
Pass a reference to some binary data on machine A -- get a reference to that
binary data on machine B
[Another distinct problem is obviously where there are multiple machine B's]

If this is solved then the Admin Console and the DeploymentService can proceed
in the same general manner whether talking to each other locally or remotely.

Thanks

[JBoss-dev] [JBoss JIRA] Updated: (JBCACHE-37) Stack Overflow when using Collection classes in TreeCacheAop

2005-01-21 Thread Andrew May (JIRA)

Andrew May updated JBCACHE-37:
--

Attachment: cachetest.jar

EJB jar containing the CacheTest bean and all related classes (including
compiled JUnit test case). You should be able to drop this into the deploy
direectory of the all configuration of a fresh JBoss 4.0.1 installation
(along with treeCacheAop-service.xml) and call the test case. This always fails
for me with a StackOverflow on both Java 1.4.2 and Java 1.5, and it fails on
both Windows and Linux.

[JBoss-dev] [JBoss JIRA] Updated: (JBAS-1310) EJB timer implementation on top of Quartz

2005-01-21 Thread Tim McCune (JIRA)

Tim McCune updated JBAS-1310:
-

Attachment: quartzEJB.tar.gz

EJB timer implementation on top of Quartz
 -

  Key: JBAS-1310
  URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-1310
  Project: JBoss Application Server
 Type: Patch
   Components: EJBs
 Versions: JBossAS-4.0.1 Final
 Reporter: Tim McCune
 Assignee: Scott M Stark
 Priority: Minor
  Attachments: quartzEJB.tar.gz

This is an implementation of the EJB timer API on top of Quartz. I
originally posted this about a year ago at
 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=881597group_id=22866atid=376687
and am reposting it here in Jira at Scott's request. See
 http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3863002 for more
 info.

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Eclipse IDE (dev)] - Re: Syntax Highlighting

2005-01-21 Thread ken_n_hutchinson
I hope that's not a subtle jab that if I don't like it, come up with my own ;)

I understand that JBoss-IDE is using a plugin written by another group
(correct?) so really, they are the ones that should address the issues. I
guess I was more curious to see if JBoss would undertake this on their own
since they have a stake in providing high quality tools like this.

Like I said, I love all of the AOP and JBoss integration the tool provides.
JBoss has obviously spent a lot of time to get this to work nicely.

The jsp plugin was given to jboss at some point yes. We have maintained and
developed on it and continue to do so. Still we are also monitoring the WTP
project (since we are memeber of Eclipse) to see where their structured editor

--

 Key: JBCACHE-79
 URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBCACHE-79
 Project: JBoss Cache
Type: Bug
Reporter: Stan Silvert
 Assigned to: Ben Wang

With HttpSessionReplication enabled, an object that implements
HttpSessionBindingListener is placed in the session. When the session times
out, valueUnbound() is never called.

This was reported by a support customer and is found in case 2748:
https://na1.salesforce.com/5003000aiwP

I have attached a simple WAR to the case that reproduces the problem.

It may be that the other related listeners from the servlet spec are not
working as well, but this has not been tested.

2005-01-21 Thread liteuptoronto
I have tried out the alpha and it works fine. Thanks to the portal team. :) But
just a suggestion I'd like to add for those who build their own portal from
cvs, is that a setup.ddl was missing for the ForumPortlet or ForumModule. This
setup.ddl was copied from the alpha binary release and with it, I create the

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Portal] - plain text password on URL...

2005-01-21 Thread jimmyed2001
If you provide a wrong user id during login, you password is displayed in plain
text on the URL of the next page.

e.g. I have a typo in my user id, but provide the correct password. The URL of
the next page is:
  |
http://localhost:8080/portal/j_security_check?j_username=jdoeOOPSj_password=wingnuts

The login form is a 'post' but something somewhere must be doing a 'get'
 to result in this.

and the portlet will be available.

You should read carefully the documentation ;)

You need to build the ddl, by typing sh build.sh ddl in core and forums.

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Admin Console] - Re: Datasource Component Design - Updating JBoss AS

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Ok, that was a great description of the steps.

How about this?

A file is transfered to a directory local to the AdminConsole as described.
Then the Console prepares the input properties for the template to be executed.
Part of the input properties is the URL to the local file. When the template
runs, it copies the file over to the deployment.

In the remote scenario, the only thing that changes is the intermediate layer
that takes care of transfering the file over (locally to the remote machine).
The other steps are the same.

In the template config we would have something like:

  | template-config
  |... bla bla properties
  |property name=JarURL type=java.net.URL/
  |...
  |file-list
  | file src=files/ !-- deep copy this from template dir --
  | file src=${JarURL}/ !-- copy the pointed resource --
  |file-list/
  |

The only problem I see, is whenever we need to rerun the template the caller
needs to make sure the URL is valid, i.e. the file exists so it can be copied.

all log messages generated go to an application-specific log file. Solutions
to this problem are documented on this wiki page:
http://www.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Logging

The log4j RepositorySelector provides a clean solution to this problem without
any special classloader settings. However, at the present time, a developer
must create his own version of a RepositorySelector and make sure his
application initializes it properly.

This can be difficult to accomplish because the RepositorySelector feature is
not well known and takes time to understand. It can also be difficult to make
sure that the RepositorySelector is initialized before the application makes
ANY call to Logger.getLogger().

We can instead, provide a RepositorySelector implementation as part of the
JBoss Application server. If a deployer finds a log4j.xml file in the
/META-INF direcotry (or /WEB-INF for WARs) it would add an entry into the
RepositorySelector for that application. Then, logging from that application
would use the custom log4j configuration.

Hmm, seems to me (and think Dimitris is saying same thing) that since the
driver jar is available via URL, couldn't the remote machine just download the
jar? Would assume that want the jar on remote machine's disk anyways. Might
simplify things.

2005-01-21 Thread jimmyed2001

All of the jsps in 2.0 Alpha extend from
org.jboss.portal.core.servlet.jsp.PortalJsp except
portal-core.sar\portal-core.war\WEB-INF\jsp\cms\admin\confirmcreatecollection.jsp
 and confirmcopy.jsp. These descend from
org.jboss.portal.core.servlet.jsp.PortalJSP (note different case of last two
letters). This different case is causing the compilation of those JSPs to fail.

P.S. is there somewhere else I should be posting these issues, I tried creating
a case in Jira but it didn't let me.

[JBoss-dev] [JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBREM-47) Dynamic classloading

2005-01-21 Thread Tom Elrod (JIRA)
Dynamic classloading

 Key: JBREM-47

 Project: JBoss Remoting
Type: Feature Request
  Components: general
Versions: 1.0.1 beta
Reporter: Tom Elrod
 Assigned to: Tom Elrod

Need ability for dynamic classloading to satisfy two needs. The first, is when
an ejb lookup is done, and if do not have the class on the client, can download
the client classes for remoting. This is much more efficient than having to
serialize all these classes (as there may be many and may not even know what
they are until runtime). Also, would like to add the ability for client or
server to pass implementation for interfaces across the wire and if the other
side does not have those classes, can load them. Once particular case when this
might be needed is if using JMX sub-system, client could create custom
QueryExp? implementation and pass to the server, and the server could load that
class and perform the query. Will require security around this.

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Admin Console] - Re: Datasource Component Design - Updating JBoss AS

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Apologies guys. I was only using a URL to the file as an example of a type of
reference to a file. It might as well have been a String containing the path
relative to JBOSS_HOME, or a java.io.File object.

For the remote case we simply can't rely on the driver jar being available to
the remote machine via the filesystem. Especially on Windows this is way too
onerous a pre-requisite for admins to have to setup.
However for the local case I think this could work great. I think Dimitris'
template example would work fine when we could guarantee access through the
filesystem.

I think to solve the remote case we are going to have tackle the generic
problem I outlined:

Pass in a reference to some binary data on machine A -- get a reference to
that binary data on machine B

I think Mazz's fileDrop facility should be able to provide this, when we just
have one machine B. Is this correct?

If so then maybe further down the line JBoss/Remoting could support this
operation itself, and for multiple remote machines.

Thanks

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Admin Console] - Re: Datasource Component Design - Updating JBoss AS

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
depends on the size of the files. Tom E's idea is a good one for large files -
that is, have a remote file input stream that a server can read to slurp down a
file from the remote client.

My fileDrop command will take the contents of any file (or any String or any
Object to be serialized), ship it over to the server and have the server write
it somewhere. The command itself will not only ship over the file contents but
also a suggestion to the server of where to put the file. I think this would
be ideal for things like configuration files. But again, this is only useful
for small-to-medium sized files.

We will need a streaming capability for larger files like ears and such (for
when we want to remotely deploy apps).

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Portal] - themes and TABLEs vs DIVs

2005-01-21 Thread jimmyed2001
The current UI pages are built with HTML tables instead of DIVs. Using DIVs
would enable much more flexibility when it comes to UI themes. Is there a plan
to switch to DIVs prior to GA or are tables being used for backward
compatibility?

[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote : depends on the size of the files. Tom E's idea is
a good one for large files - that is, have a remote file input stream that a
server can read to slurp down a file from the remote client.

So database driver .jar files may typically be around 1-2Mb, with some larger
ones, e.g. AS400, being around 4Mb. Will your fileDrop command be suitable, or
do we need something more sophisticated from JBoss/Remoting?

Thanks

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Admin Console] - Re: Datasource Component Design - Updating JBoss AS

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Wow. Well, this fileDrop is very simple - it slurps in the file contents in a
single byte[] and transmits that byte array over the network (via
JBoss/Remoting transporting and marshalling) to the server. No chunking or
anything.

So, as you can see, the JVM must have enough memory to store the contents of
the file in memory (both the client JVM and the server JVM). 2MB should be
doable. Getting into the 10s of megabytes will be problematic. That why I
think it is ideal for small-to-medium size files like configs and the like.
Large jars/wars/ears - you have to be careful. I like the idea of a remote
input stream for this kind of thing. WinAmp for JBoss :-)

As for performance - dunno. How fast does JBoss/Remoting transmit a several
megabyte payload :-)

[JBoss-dev] [JBossCache] - prune in LRUAlgorithm

2005-01-21 Thread kkalmbach
Question about the prune method in LRUAlgorithm. This is probably a small
issue that will not actually affect anyone, but I'm looking for an opinion.

I hope this explanation makes sense

Currently, the process method runs through the queue processing the
gets/adds/deletes, then it runs through the items in the cache looking to see
if it should evict them.

There is a window of time (maybe large depending upon how many things are in
the cache), that after the queue is drained and the first part of the cache is
being pruned that a get comes in for something (at the end of the cache) that
has been timed out (but not yet pruned) the get is successful (while the prune
is still going on). The prune then gets to the end of the cache and evicts the
newly gotten object (the newly gotten object placed a GET event in the queue,
but the queue is not processed until the next time the eviction runs).

The result of this is a get can be successful, but then immediately after, the
get will fail. Since a get is supposed to reset the time, if a get is
successful, it should not be removed until at least TimeToLive seconds after
the last successful get.

A couple of questions about this..
1) If this really a problem, or is it just me? I think the saving grace of
this is that the window is small unless the cache gets really big.
2) Is there a simple fix for this? Can you drain the queue again during the
prune method, before each eviction to make sure the object is still available
for eviction?

Because this is such a relatively small window of time, I can't make a reliable
JUnit test (Unless I add a sleep the prune method to simulate a really large
cache).

-Kevin

[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Build System] - Re: New Build in JBoss-Head

2005-01-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I have checked in naming/jbossbuild.xml. I implemented rmic as Adrian
described above with an rmic attribute on the source node in the component
definition (in naming/jbossbuild.xml):

  | source id=main
  |rmic=**/NamingServer.class
  |
  |include input=common-project/...
  |

And I have a source node in tasks.xml's build targetdef which applies to
sources with rmic defined:

  |  source when=@{rmic}
  | rmic base=@{output}
  |   includes=@{rmic}
  | ...
  |

However, when I run this, ant complians I have duplicate target definitions:

  | $ ant -f jbossbuild.xml
  | Buildfile: jbossbuild.xml
  |
  | BUILD FAILED
  | C:\projects\jboss-head\naming\jbossbuild.xml:77: Duplicate target:
`build.main'
  |

I expected the two targets to be concatenated instead of duplicated. I have
checked in my changes to tasks.xml, so the problem should be reproducible by
adding the rmic attribute as described above.

I think the issue is that SourceDefinition.generateTargets() is adding
SourceDefinitionTargets for each dynamic type regardless if another target for
that type is already defined. Any pointers on this appreciated...

I'm not sure I follow, but this is definitely worth a discussion. If I wrap
many tables inside a div, they will all be applied with the style specified in
the div. If I don't specify a div style, and only specify table styles (like we
do now), I can specify different styles for each table, if I like.

How exactly would it allow for more flexibility? I may not be understanding the
issue.
