Hello, I have had similar problems earlier. The problem I had came from using a MS tool that used the .Net 1.0 version. Confirm that you are using at least a .Net 1.1 version. Also, there has been some discussions regarding interoperability with .Net earlier in this forum, here are some links: http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=63158 http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=62229 Best regards, Georg View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3877295#3877295 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3877295 --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Oracle Space Sweepstakes Want to be the first software developer in space? Hello, generate files yes did you try to get it to work? I could not inspect or use any generated complex type on the .Net side (using VB 2003) when I tried in middle March with RPC/literal. I think I used the .Net 2.1 version then. I had to convert our RPC/literal to doc/literal to get the communication going... Further more, I have just learned (bitterly) that exceptions is thrown only through a wrapped microsoft constructed SOAP exception on the .Net side. The "real" exception's message is located inside this "new" exception. This means that it is impossible to do a typed 'catch' on the client side! You are left with error codes in the message. Very frustrating indeed... /Georg View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3875296#3875296 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3875296 --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. Ok! Since we have .Net on the client side (attatchments compatibility?) and only one week left to acceptance test :) creating my own bulk message seams to be the only solution. It seams as the soap response includes all attribute values for the sent objects instead of sending only changed (from default) values. This cloggs upp the message with a lot of default or null values which stands for at least 80% of the data... Very sad and very unnecessary spent cpu power. Thanks for the tips! Oh... I forgott. On the .Net side (if you are going to use that), in Visual Studio 2003, you point out a WSDL file and the program takes care of the code generation and compilation. [JBoss-user] [JBossWS] - Re: Education question - literal/encoded, RPC/Document
Hello, A month ago I asked the same question and I have spent quite some time digging out the information needed to understand this also. The two best articles I found are these http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/xml/jaxrpcpatterns/ and http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnwebsrv/html/rpc_literal.asp The main differens between RPC and Document styles are that in RPC style all objects that you send back and forth are predetermind by a descriptive schema that lays elsewhere. In Document style, the object structure is included in the WSDL, so you can describe whatever you want (it must still confirm to a schema, but a more general). For both RPC and Document style, you do not have to code any serializer/deserialiser if you use objects that follows plain old java code and Bean standards. Everything can be automatically produced with the wscompile tool delivered with Sun's JWSDP 1.5. In that case you can swap between RPC and Document very easy and with a minimal amout of changes in the client access code (I have just done this in our web service since .Net does not support RPC style). I guess there is more to it with Document style, more strengths you can use, but my knowledge of that is at a minimum. The links above describes the differences in more details. Hope this helps. Hello again, thanks for all your effort! I think I should mention that the WSDL file is generated from SEI's with wscompile -f:documentliteral. We have searched the generated .NET code but found no "Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Qualified" (or "Unqualified"). Here is all code from the WSDL file that reflects the getBurro3 and its response structure: | | http://bullen.com/fleet/api"; | xmlns:tns="http://bullen.com/fleet/api"; | xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"; | xmlns:ns2="http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types"; | xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"; | xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/";> | | | http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types"; | xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"; | xmlns:soap11-enc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"; | xmlns:tns="http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types"; | xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"; | xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";> | | | ... | | | | | | | | | | | ... | | | | | | ... | | | | | | | | ... | | | | | | ... | | | http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"; style="document"/> | | | | | | | | | | ... | | | | | Can you see any problems with this WSDL snippet? Something that strikes me as really odd is the usage of wscompile's -f:wsi flag. When reading about it on the jwsdp-1.5 tools side: "The wscompile tool reads as input either a WSDL file, compiled service endpoint interface (SEI), or model file. The Type of File column indicates which of these files can be used with a particular feature." Which is the last column. "wsi", "enable WSI-Basic Profile features, to be used for document/literal and rpc/literal", "WSDL" so, here the WSDL file should be the input? ...but when reading on this page (under "Solution"): https://bpcatalog.dev.java.net/nonav/soa/dotnet-client/ (claimed Sun page) it feals like -f:wsi is passed when creating the WSDL from SEI's. Maybe you can sheed some light about this issue also? Connection and access between the client and server is now up and running, and both complex types and primitive values are sent from the .Net client to the server. On the way back though, no values for either complex types or primitives are showing up at the client. It feels like the client is unable to deserialize the client value. I have searched the net for information about this and the only thing that seams to fit this problem have something to do with qualified/unqualified 'form' attribute on the element description for the getBurro3Response... but I can not find any information about this here on the JBoss forums. If anyone have seen this problem before I would be grateful for any ideas about what could be wrong. (This post will also be posten in some Microsoft .Net forum, since I suspect that it is a .Net client error) Best regards, Georg Soap call: | POST /ports/TacoBell HTTP/1.1 | User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; MS Web Services Client Protocol 1.0.3705.6018) | Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8 | SOAPAction: "" | Content-Length: 337 | Expect: 100-continue | Connection: Keep-Alive | Host: 127.0.0.1 | | |http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"; xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"; xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";> | | http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types";> | 12 | | | | Soap response: | HTTP/1.1 100 Continue | | HTTP/1.1 200 OK | Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 | X-Powered-By: Servlet 2.4; JBoss-4.0.2RC1 (build: CVSTag=JBoss_4_0_2_RC1 date=200503140913)/Tomcat-5.5 | Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 | Transfer-Encoding: chunked | Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 12:43:04 GMT | | 196 | |http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"; xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"; xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";> | | http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types";> | heppadoda! | | | | 0 | Here is the part from the WSDL file that handles the getBurrito3Response: | | http://bullen.com/fleet/api"; xmlns:tns="http://bullen.com/fleet/api"; xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"; xmlns:ns2="http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types"; xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"; xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/";> | | http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types"; xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"; xmlns:soap11-enc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"; xmlns:tns="http://bullen.com/fleet/api/types"; xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"; xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";> | | ... | | | | | View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3870948#3870948 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3870948 --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. We are currently trying to implement a VB client for our RPC/literal webservices without success. The development tool can download the WSDL and show which services that exists in it but there ends all further access. It does not seams to work to well... We will now be switching to doc/literal instead. I think this is a bit strange, since it feels like rpc/literal is just a subset of doc/literal I would be really happy if anyone out there have successfully implemented a VB client accessing RPC/literal and could say something about it. Hello, I am trying to understand why our custom exceptions are not propagated correctly to the client side. I have looked at the jboss testsuite and that looks real strait forward to me but when my implemenetation seams to do something more... [JBoss-user] [JBossWS] - Re: Prefixed namespace bindings may not be empty
Ok... It looks like the Xdoclet tag (wsee.jaxrpc-mapping value: namespace-uri) is not substituted correctly as it is described in the jaxrpc-mapping_xml.xdt. I am able to generate a wsdd file if I manually change the value in the jaxrpc-mapping file to the correct. Hard coding the jaxrpc-mapping_xml.xdt to the correct value does little though... I still do not get JBoss to generate any wsdd file(s?) and it still gives me the "Prefixed namespace" exception. By the way... I can only generate the wsdd file if I give the port name.
