Re: [[JOYnet] Jesus Had to Die Why???]
Hi josephcc, According to my understanding I would like to answer ur question. By the time Adam and his wife did sin, God closed the door of Aden infrond of them. So the children of them became sin by birth itself. Because the sinful blood from adam went in to his children. So after generation by generation this world filled with sinful people. Means everybody became a sinner. Even if a person is not doing any sin in his life, or by activities he is a sinner by birth itself. In the bible it is clearly telling that "Penalty of sin is DEATH". This is a very very sharpened true rule in bible. But God has mercy and love towards the people in this world. Same time he wants to punish the people who did sin. If it will happen, all the people in this world should go to hell. For helping this world from sin, somebody should take away our sin, or somebody should die instead of our death. And he should not be a sinful person by birth itself. So what God did was, he send his beloved son to this earth as a human being. By birth Jesus was not a sinful person. Then you may ask a question "Jesus born as the son of Joseph, so naturally the blood of joseph should be there in the body of Jesus". But his birth was a special birth. Jesus had born from a lady who was a virgin. So the birth of Jesus is a holly one. That means he is a man, born in this world, at the same time he is not a sinner by birth. For helping the people in this world, from the final judgement, what Jesus did was, he died on the cross by wearing all the sin of this world on his body. That means somebody gave the penalty of our sin. So we don't need to worry about the sin that we did. The most important thing is that, you should believe that Jesus died for your sin. Then u will get salvation, and there will not be a final judgement for you. It is simple to understand the fact through a simple logic. Suppose you are driving your car in the opposite direction of one-way traffic. The police has caught you, and he gave you fine of let us say $1000.00 (I got a fine of $1000.00 one time because of speeding, that+IBk-s why this logic came in to my mind!!!). So you need to give the money. That+IBk-s the rule. But by that time, a very loving person came there and gave the fine for you. Then you don't need to give the fine. Am I right? As the same way Jesus did to us. He already gave the penalty of our sin. So whoever is believing that Jesus died for his sin, and if he is accepting Jesus as his savior, he will not be under judgement under the God's law of "penalty of sin is death", and he will get salvation, and will enter in the heaven. Getting salvation is free of cost, but it doesn't mean that it is not a valuable one or cheap. You are getting, high value of a holy blood free of coast, you can+IBk-t just +IBw-purchase+IB0 it. Just believe the truth. God bless you Braduke.R.R. Dear Friends in Jesus Greetings from Ecuador! We are fine here though it is the most difficult climate for missionaries in Ecuador. Because of heavy rain many of the villages are under flood and the journey to the jungle villages is a himalayan task. Today I returned from a mission. Because of the rain we could not visit some of these villages for months. So I decided to go there in any case. And two days back I started my jouney in the local vehicle called "Ranchera".We could not proceed much as the bridge on the way was washed off by the flood. There we got down and crossed the river and started walking. I walked the distance which I could proceed walking and waited for some time to see somebody with a horse. Since the community to which I was going did not know about my visit they did not send any horse for me. So I had to wait for a long time. Then came two girls on horseback. To them I requested to take me to the village and they agreed. So we started our journey. It needs 3 hours on horseback to reach the destination. And our journey seemed to be the most difficult one I ever had. We were proceeding through a very thick jungle, with much care, of course,as the trees and plants were grown up very high becuase of the rain; and so we could hardly recognise a way in the forest. And it happened all on a sudden that my horse had to pass through a narrow place which had trees in both sides and above. The horse could pass though, but that poor animal did not mind the one who was riding it. And trying to save myself from hitting my head on the tree, I fell down from the horse. For a moment I was not conscious of what was happening. When I got conscious after a few seconds I found myself in a pit. I tried to get up, but could not. The girls who led my way, did not know about he accident as they were riding a little far from me. So I shouted and they came running and helped me get up. My guitar which I hung on my back was found broken. Thanks to Jesus, nothing happened to me, except that I had a little pain here and there. I got on the horse back again and we proceeded our journey and visited two villages and celebrated sacraments there. Now, my dear friends, you can freely imagine that scene and laugh with me: a missionary from Kerala, in a pit in Ecuador...a heavy sack on him... and his horse above him God bless you all Fr. Re: [JOYnet] Being assertive Vs being humble & meek
Dear Abha and Joynet, HI, I'm back after some time and since I'm doing my MBA I strongly agree with Abha. This is something I've been wondering about for some time too. I don't believe that being meek is what is required - if you do, then ppl walk all over u and take advantage of you. But sometimes, when u have to look after yourself, it goes to the point of being mean. And then u dont know if it's right or wrong. Here, for my MBA its just survival of the fittest. So first u have to look after yourself and then only can u even think about others. Otherwise you lose out. Could somebody pls help us out here. As we go out into the corporate world, how do we handle this? Where everything is like this and worse? Pls help with inputs. [JOYnet] Bringing Up Boys
Hi guys, This is a bit lengthy, so I had to edit it but it is very serious and needs our prayers. ___ By Dr. James Dobson © 2002 WorldNetDaily.com The world into which children are born now has become a very dangerous place. It's changed tremendously. There are many people out there today who see in children an opportunity to change the culture. And they hate for the most part - they hate the Judeo-Christian value system. And children are the vulnerable ones. And if they can get control of children and if they can influence children, they can change the whole culture in one generation. Well, eight days ago, one week and one day ago, the National Education Association announced its policy, that they're disseminating to school districts all over the country, that every child in every school and every classroom in the nation should be taught homosexual what I would call - propaganda. A child is in school for - public schools - for 13 years and we're going to start in kindergarten. So they're teaching them that bisexuality is normal and that homosexuality and heterosexuality are morally equivalent. And they're teaching them many, many other concepts. And can you imagine these children, 5-years old, sitting in a circle around the teacher who's telling them about adult perverse behavior? On February 4th, 12 days ago, the American Academy of Pediatrics announced that gay and lesbian parents, so-called, can raise children and do raise children as effectively as stable marriages where husbands and wives are committed to each other. This is the American Academy of Pediatrics? I saw a video the other day of children in Afghanistan and they were teaching these children how they could slit the throats of Israelis. If you teach that to 6-year-old boys, you will have violent men when they grow up. That's why there is this effort to control the minds of kids. You may be aware that there is an effort now to lower the age of accountability sexually in the various countries. Here in the United States, it's 16. That's awfully early to be allowing a full-grown man to take advantage of a 16-year-old boy. In Canada, it's 14. In Portugal, it's 14. In the U.K., it's 16. In Spain, it's 12. Is that shocking to you? The American Psychological Association put an incredible article in its bulletin about 18 months ago that said sex between adults and children is not all that bad. It might even be beneficial. Dr. Peter Singer " Very often, it is not wrong at all to kill a child once it has left the womb." He said, and watch the words now, "Simply killing an infant is never equivalent to killing a person." Do you know that it is a $25,000 fine to kill an eagle's egg and there's no law at all against killing a child in the latter stages of development in utero? Have we gone absolutely crazy? __ For full story http://www.worldNetDaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=26878 Jento This mail is generated from JOYnet, a Jesus Youth mailing list. [JOYnet] Blessed are the meek
Dear Abha and others, The meek is gentle in manner and humble in outlook. It is LOVE that prompts all the actions of the meek. Was Jesus meek when He drove the merchants out of the temple?? YES!His LOVE for the merchants demanded such firm action. What about when He hurled His woes at them?? Jesus was the meekest of all men when acting like this.Meekness is not weakness. The strength of meekness born of LOVE for others leads Jesus to hurt them for their good. Our love is never true unless we are ready to hurt the person we love.False kindness is the worst form of cruelty when it prevents us from speaking the truth in love. Sometimes, our "assertive" actions are born out of hurt feelings. The strength born out of this is brute force.Only the strength born out of LOVE is true strength. And this meekness which responds only in love can come only with a close relationship with the meekest of all-JESUS. [JOYnet] Godliness with contentment is great gain
Dear friends, I don't know if the problem is that I am not receiving all the Joynet mails or if very few are writing these days. I thought of sharing something "personal".. You see,a long time ago, when I was a child,I had very few dresses to wear.Since we had uniforms for school,my parents did not think it necessary that we should have many "other" clothes. AndI always wanted more and more clothes. This desire was never expressed, even when I reached college. All my friends considered me "simple" as far as my dressing was concerned.I liked being simple and continued to suppress my desire. During some retreats, during counselling sessions,I have been asked about this desire, and told to pray for healing.I prayed but with no success until I heard recently that Juby Mathews, wife of Mathews Immanuel(Both are actively involved in the Discipleship Training in Kerala),always has only four sets of clothes. When she gets one more, she gives it away to someone else.I suddenly felt a lot of respect for her,and you know what-I was instantly healed!!! I am beginning to follow in her footsteps, slimming down my wardrobe which seems extravagant now. [JOYnet] CUP OF COFFEE
CUP OF COFFEE A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life an how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second, she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me, what do you see?" Carrots, eggs, and coffee," her daughter replied. She brought her daughter closer and asked her to feel the carrots. The daughter noted that they were soft. She then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, the daughter observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked her daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. Then the daughter asked, "What does it mean, mother?" Her mother explained, "Each of these objects has faced the same adversity -- boiling water -- but each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hared, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. They changed the water." "Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?" Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I once have a fluid spirit, but after death, breakup, afinancial hardship, or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot,it releases the fragrance and flavor. When things are at their worst, do I get better and change the situation around me? How do you handle adversity? When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate to another level? What gives you the greatest opportunity for long term happiness? That is your highest choice. May you be blessed and bless others By Always making your Highest Choice Love & Prayers Jennifer Mumbai This mail is generated from JOYnet, a Jesus Youth mailing list.
