[JOYnet] JOYNet inspired us
JOYNet inspired us The first Friday of this month JOYNet observed as a Prayerday with the theme World Peace. The prayer drafted for the day was a beautiful prayer. We, 4 JYs in Kuwait, gathered in a place on Thursday evening and we prayed throughout the night in connection with JOYNet prayerday. During the night prayer, Holy Spirit inspired us to conduct a 24 hours chain prayer in Kuwait. So we observed a 24 hours chain prayer starting from last Thursday 6 PM to Friday 6 PM. We took print out and distributed the same prayer which we used in the JOYNet monthly prayer to all who participated in the chain prayer. Nearly 60 JYs participated the prayer without any break throughout the night. We started and concluded the chain prayer with Holy mass. With this chain prayer we could pray for the entire world especially for the Middle East that is in the shadow of war. Also, we could improve our fellowship through this prayer. The prayer time was one hour for each person and it included Holy Rosary, the prayer we took from JOYNet, Prayer for mercy, Praise and worship, Intersession prayer and meditation of selected Bible verses. It is the JOYNet that inspired and guided us to conduct a Holy Spirit filled chain prayer in Kuwait. Thanks to JOYNet and its members. [JOYnet] Monthly prayerday - we are in the shadow of war
Monthly Prayer The theme for our monthly prayer, world peace is a very apt theme in this current situation. Here in Kuwait, we are in the shadow of war. Now everybody is worried about the present situation and talking about war only. Many people are mentally disturbed and anxious about the future. The parents are worried about their small children. Also the final exams are on the way and still the students do not know weather they could write the exams in Kuwait or not. 10th and 12th Std. students are facing more problems because they have to write the Board Exams and the school authorities yet could not fix the exam center in Kuwait. In Kuwait the preparations for an emergency is going on. Medical awareness camps are conducting several places to train the public to face an emergency of chemical or biological attack. People are reserving food and water and Govt. is planning to provide ration cards to all including expatriates. Gas masks and other protective equipments are going to be distributed to the people who are working in dangerous locations. I am also listed in the emergency staff since I am working in a power plant very near to Iraq. Annual leave is suspended for the staff working in emergency departments such as Health Dept. In total the situation is going to be worse in the coming days. So I am listing some prayer subjects for the monthly prayer. 1. Pray for all countries and peoples thoseare in the shadow of war. 2. Pray for Middle East counties especially for Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Syria those are located in the expected war area. 3. Pray for world leaders to take good decisions in this crisis to avoid a war. 4. Pray for the world to be filled with the Holy Spirit. 5. Pray for the pregnant women, infants and children to be protected during an emergency. 6. Pray for the students who write exams this area. 7. Pray for all to get mental courage and to get a deep awareness that Lord Jesus will protect everybody in any situation and Lord has a very good plan for each and every one. Tomorrow (Feb.6) night some of the Jesus Youth friends in Kuwait are planning to pray through out the night from 10 pm to 5 am so that we could be part of our monthly Joynet prayer. JY in Kuwait is blessed by the Holy Spirit through Manoj Sunny(JY international coordinator) in his one week visit to Kuwait. It is the first time a JY from the central team is visiting Kuwait. Even though we are a small community that is still waiting for an official approval from the Local Church authorities, Manoj Chettan got a warm welcome from the Bishop, Priests and Charismatic communities. Manoj chettan had a series of discussions with Bishop and priests and this opened the doors for JY in Kuwait to build a good relationship with the local church. We had two main sessions with Manoj chettan and everybody was enriched with Holy spirit through deep reflection and sharing. The first session was a reflection on the CONSTANTS such as Prayer, Word of God, Sacraments, fellowship and Evangelization. We have gone through a self-evaluation of our present spiritual condition. Open sharing and prayer was the highlight of this session. Also he pointed out that a good relation with the church is very important and the involvement in the church activities is very important for any Jesus Youth. The second session was a deep reflection on the different stages of spiritual growth of a JY. The basic call from the Lord, Discipleship, Prophetic roll, Priesthood and Stewardship are well explained by Manoj chettan. Also he briefed the different activities that the JY is coordinating all over India and some other countries.We hope that the middle-east network will be strong in future. All of us got a well awareness of our MISSION and VISION. Many doubts were cleared and a new way is opened for JY in Kuwait and all of us are filled with joy. This visit is a milestone in the history of JY in Kuwait. The Holy Spirit is moving all around and we experienced His presence in Kuwait. Thank you Jesus for all the good things happened here and we pray to you to protect our small community with your precious blood. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude towards our Lord, when we celebrate our second wedding anniversary. On our first wedding anniversary, we shared our experience with Jesus Christ and the blessings we received from Him. This is a continuation of that sharing. During the last one year Jesus has done great things in our life. HE blessed us with a baby girl ( Anna Bridget) on 12th October,2001. We thank God for this wonderful gift. Also God blessed me with a good job in the Ministry of Electricity and Water in Kuwait. There was so many obstacles to get that job. But Jesus done miracle. Again, Jesus done miracle when we applied for a visa to bring a house keeper from India. We got a visa in our own sponsorship and now she is with us. Again, I could pass a driving test in the first attempt even though it is very hard to get license in Kuwait. Like this there are so many things to share. In short, Jesus protects us every time and provide us everything we need. He gave us good JY friends in Kuwait and now Jesus gave me more responsibility to serve Him as a JY coordinator in Kuwait. Thank you Jesus for all that you have done in our life and we beg your pardon for all the wrongs we did. When there was nobody to help, Jesus was there to help us and when there was big problems in our life Jesus solved everything. So we proclaim that Jesus is the ONLY Savior and He is ready to save us at any moment. [JOYnet] JY-UAE visits JY-Kuwait
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Yesterday we met one of our Joynet member Mr. Dencil Vincent from Dubai, U.A.E., who came here in Kuwait for an official tour. We, Mr. Mahesh Peter and me who represent JY in Kuwait, met him at 7pm at Le Meridian hotel where he is staying. Since this was a short noticed program all the JY in Kuwait could not gather. But It was a wonderful meeting. We shared our personnel experience as well as the JY activities going-on in both the countries. We got a very clear picture about the formation and growth of the JY community in U.A.E. As the JY in Kuwait is still in the formation state, it is very useful to know how JY is formed in a Gulf country since both the countries have almost similar problems. We shared our experiences, prayed together and made some planning for the future. We also hope that this meeting will be the beginning of a G.C.C. or Middle East gathering in future. Mr. Dencil will return to U.A.E. today evening. We wish him all success. The people who know only through e-mails are meeting face to face is a joyful experience. Joynet is a good link between the JY's around the world. When we visit a country, it is good to inform the JY's in that area and gather together to share our love. Somebody wrote in Joynet that Joyneters are not giving serious attention to the prayer requests submitted in Joynet. That may be true or not. But I have something to share on this matter. We can see many prayer requests in our Joynet. Also we request to others to pray for us. Or we will send prayer request to intersection ministries/groups. Sometimes our prayer requests will be ignored or people will forget to pray for us. But we need not worry about this. The God who see our heart will hear our prayer. Even though others forget / ignore our prayer request, God will not ignore/forget it. We usually make prayer request when we are in great trouble or sorrow. When we request others to pray for us, we have a faith that God will hear our prayer. If we have the real faith, even before others pray for us, god will hear our prayer. Here I will share one of my experience. When I was in Bahrain, I was trying to get a good job in the same field of my specialization. For six months, there was no improvement in my efforts. One day I collected the addresses of some companies and send application by post. After one week I received a call from one of the companies and I had an interview by telephone. They promised to call me for an interview in their office. But for two months, there was no response. Then one day I put a prayer request in the prayer request box of the intersection ministry of the malayalam prayer group. The intersection ministry is gathering every Thursday at 7 p.m. By Gods grace, the company called me for an interview in there office on the same Thursday at 11a.m. I attended the interview and I was selected for the job. Before the intersection ministrys prayer, God has grand me my intention. When we took a piece of paper and write a prayer request to some person /groups or when we type a prayer request in the Joynet, the Lord who see our heart and faith will definitely hear our prayer. So please dont hesitate to make prayer request in Joynet. Every day my wife Jessy and me pray for all who put prayer request in Joynet. Our God is so great and kind enough to hear our prayers. [JOYnet] Final Judgement
Regarding Salvation I have something to share. #61623; Salvation is an experience and a state of life. #61623; Salvation is individual. #61623; Life is not a game and Salvation is not the last moment goal. #61623; Salvation is an ongoing process. #61623; Salvation means to re-link us with God and experience the love of God. #61623; Salvation is the life of grace. #61623; Salvation is not only a life after death but it can also be experienced during our life in this world. #61623; Salvation is not like getting a pass to enter into a movie house but it is a day by day growth in spiritual life. Also I wish to say that, #61623; JESUS is the ONE and ONLY Savior. #61623; There is no alternative for JESUS. If we say that there are many ways to get salvation then there is no need of evangelization and even there is no need of a mailing list like JOYNET. If Christianity is ONE of the ways to salvation then there is no need of a church also. If somebody things that there is no difference between Christianity and other religion means we failed to witness our Lord Jesus Christ. That is why Gandhiji said: I love Christ but not Christians. Let us proclaim our Lord to all nations. Jesus is the only judge. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. So it is NOT our duty to judge the other religious people. God has a definite plan for each and everyone. The big command to us is: Go and proclaim Good News to all creations. Let Jesus judge. Let us pray! Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with your holy gifts. Assist us, O Holy Spirit, in all the trials of life, enlighten us in our ignorance and advise us in our doubts, Amen.
