[lattedock] [Bug 419619] Panel background starts tiling/tearing under the "Plasma" color theme.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419619 --- Comment #1 from Jonathan Chun --- Looks like with any plasmoid added, to the panel that can expand, such as Event Calendar or most time/date related ones, when you click on them to expand it, the entire panel changes color back to the same tiling pattern as you see in the reference screenshot. I'm unsure of whether the problem is in Latte Dock or in the plasmoids I'm using, but it seems to be consistent across multiple plasmoids. I've also tried using it without the grouping plasmoid with the same result. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

If we set to not showing this progress indicator, the only way to switch it back is to modify the config file. > Maybe the settings should be available on a hotkey, so then persistent > settings can be changed when not otherwise visible. Otherwise you have to > exit the slideshow and re-enter before you can change settings. Configure it in a hotkey is doable. However, it could be a little bit confusing for some users, since everyone tends to not looking for a hotkey to solve the problem when the progress indication disappears. Therefore, I am not sure it's a good idea to put it in a hotkey. > I may be missing that the settings are already on a hotkey, and I'd be > grateful to know what that is if so! > > Please consider this change, as changing settings each time to remove the > progress bar is a hump in the process, and a divergence from behaviour in > 7.0.0-beta2 and earlier. How about we do it otherwise, by using a hotkey to hide the progress bar? Then it will never appear again until the hotkey is repressed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 419612] New: Set video speed to take a specific time rather than scale to a specific percentage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419612 Bug ID: 419612 Summary: Set video speed to take a specific time rather than scale to a specific percentage Product: kdenlive Version: 19.12.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: sil-...@kryogenix.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Kdenlive allows me to change the speed of a video to a percentage of its normal playback speed. However, I quite often would like to change a video clip, not to be 85% of its current speed, but so that it takes the same amount of time as another clip: that is, to make that change visually rather than by numbers. It would be very useful to allow changing a video's speed by dragging it out on the timeline so that I can visually set it to take a certain time to play back. Without this, I have to iteratively guess at percentages by doing a sort of mental version of binary search: let's try setting it to 60%, no, that's too short, hit Undo, try 70%, no, that's too long, Undo, try 65%, too long, Undo, 63%, too short, Undo, 64%, that seems about right. It would be much nicer to be able to drag the video clip to the right length and have the computer do the mathematics to calculate exactly the speed change. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konqueror] [Bug 373824] Konqueror 16.12 is missing the sidebar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373824 --- Comment #52 from Raphael Rosch --- Hi DePitte, you have a couple of options. One (and the simplest one) is to edit sidebar/tree_module/tree_module.h:41 to comment out that line. The result will be that you don't have the root node, but it should compile. (What version of KF5 are you running? KDirModel should have openUrl no matter what, not sure why you are getting that error). The other option is to patch your KF5-KIO with https://phabricator.kde.org/D25315. I'm using Fedora 30's KF5 version 5.64. Not sure how to do it in SuSE, but I think building an rpm is pretty much the same as in Fedora, right? (Basically you install the src rpm --as a regular user-- for the version you have, then edit the .spec file to include the two lines to patch the source, and a line to increase the revision of the package, to avoid file conflicts. Drop the patch in ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES, and run rpmbuild with the appropriate options. Then you install the new rpms and rebuild konq. Let me know if you need help with that. Feel free to email me directly, so we don't fill up everyone else's mailboxes with this.) You don't really need to patch Qt to check out the new code, but there are some bugs that have since been fixed that improve stability and usability (at least for me). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395859 Paul M changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@paulmcauley.com --- Comment #10 from Paul M --- I agree this would be an essential feature for me to switch to Falkon as my main browser (which I really would like to do). The benefits of this are two-fold: 1. It gives you more screen space for content. 2. It allows you to place tabs at the top screen-edge. This allows much easier and faster tab switching with the mouse pointer as per Fitt's Law. You do not have to think about the vertical axis when moving the pointer to select a tab, just throwing the mouse to the top, hence allowing faster tab selection. (I filed a separate bug 419608 for other controls within Falkon which do not take advantage of Fitt's Law) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Namely by default: - Back Button - Menu Button - Scroll Bars (actually, these do work - this initially was not working for me is probably related to bug 387775 ) Fitt's Law states that because the screen edges are "infinitely" large click targets, then they are very easy to reach with the mouse pointer. Positioning the browser's controls at the screen edges therefore allows faster mouse interactions with these controls. In addition, tabs in the title bar (as per bug 395859), would also allow the tabs to be accessible at the screen edge and hence faster mouse navigation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 419603] Crash when loading multiple videos in an empty project
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419603 --- Comment #1 from Jean-Baptiste Mardelle --- I did not manage to reproduce. However the cause for this is probably in the handling of jobs in jobmanager.cpp/ipp. All MLT objects in a project share a same shared pointer to an MLT::Profile. This Mlt profile holds the project basic infos like frame size, aspect ratio (sar/dar), fps, color space, etc. On profile change, we do stop all ongoing jobs, then reset the profile and reload the clips. From the log it seems a thumbnail job on one of the clip is not stopped when the profile is reset, leading to a crash when MLT tries to compute data based on the profile. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419530 --- Comment #2 from nicolas.fri...@hotmail.fr --- I've indeed added Qwant. Its url in the menu is www.qwant.com The I've added Bing to check if it had the same behaviour. Its url is www.bing.com StartPage behaves the same way and I don't remember having added it. Its url is https://startpage.com/do/search with "query=%s=web=english" in the field just below (named "Données de Post", I guess it should be "Post datas" in english ?) In the meantime, an "add Qwant" line appeared in the search menu when I'm on the Qwant page, so I used it and it has been added to the list with a queue to the url : https://www.qwant.com/?q=%s=opensearch Now it works fine. The "add" line doesn't show up in the list when I'm on the Bing page I added "?q=essai=opensearch" to the line in the menu and now it works well too. On the StartPage page, the "add StartPage" appears. It records the url https://www.startpage.com/do/dsearch?query=%s=web=opensearch=francais but that doesn't work. [ksysguard] [Bug 419598] New: Ksysguard shows wrong CPU frequency from Ryzen 7 3700X
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419598 Bug ID: 419598 Summary: Ksysguard shows wrong CPU frequency from Ryzen 7 3700X Product: ksysguard Version: 5.17.5 Platform: RedHat RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: ksysguard-b...@kde.org Reporter: an...@6bq.de CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Ksysguard shows wrong CPU frequency from Ryzen 7 3700X OBSERVED RESULT Because Ksysguard reads the CPU speed from /proc/cpuinfo, the maximum frequency is always displayed. Wich makes this sensor useless. I'm not sure If Ksysguard would read the frequency from /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq it would display correct values, and at the same time the average values would be displayed as nice integers. EXPECTED RESULT Correct values for CPU frequencies SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora 31 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2 Kernel Version: 5.5.8-200.fc31.x86_64 OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor ADDITIONAL INFORMATION % cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep MHz cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.456 cpu MHz : 3792.694 cpu MHz : 3792.540 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.567 cpu MHz : 3792.807 ➜ ~ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq 380 380 280 380 380 380 380 380 220 380 220 380 220 380 380 380 Greetings / André -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
