Re: [LegacyUG] Four SourceWriter tips
If you are talking about the source template, instead of a yellow popup each field has text that is gray not yellow. For more information, from the home page, click on the heading four sourcewriter tips, and the information you seek is explained and demonstrated. Re: [LegacyUG] Four SourceWriter tips
In checking out what you stated, I found that the 'yellow box' at present time, only shows up over icons, but not over field names (like born) on neither the main screen, nor the individual information screen. But on the main screen, they do show up for the spouses of the children. If I remember correctly, when the main page showed short locations the long would come up in a 'yellow', but not now. I did not check any further than those mentioned. Karima, you might have to have pop-ups enabled. Options> Customize>General Tab>on the right hand side, it says "Popup Information Boxes" Kim When I try the "hover your cursor over the field name on the left and a yellow memo field will appear", it does not appear on my screen . . . and I do have the latest build. Notice that each field contains faint, light-grey text providing a tip for what should be entered in that field. For example, the Registration District field's tip says "Type the registration district." So here you would type the registration district. Did you notice that when you click in a field to start typing the information that the light-grey text disappears? This works as intended, but sometimes it would sure be nice to know what the text says, to remind you what you are supposed to type. The solution is simple. Just hover your cursor over the field name on the left and a yellow memo field will appear with the same instructions that are in the field. This is also helpful when there is not enough room on your screen to see all of the instructions.
