[LegacyUG] Legacy Family Search losing links
Something very strange is happening. If I bring up a previously linked individual in Legacy Family Search, it displays blanks in the information for that person in the right hand panel (despite it having shown previously), and when I go back to Legacy it has also wiped out the FSID in the Legacy file. Seems to do it for every linked individual. A bit more detail Click on individual in list (My Legacy People) on far left side of Legacy Family Search screen. At this point, the individual shows the two arrows indicating that he/she is linked. Also, I have customized my Family View and have FSID as one of the fields showing, and the Family Tree person id is showing there. The Legacy data shows normally, but on the Family Tree panel it goes to the Share tab, but the data is blank and the name just shows N/A. Absolutely nothing works on the Family tree side. If I try to search for matches, it finds nothing even if I do the search inputting the exact person ID. And then, back in Legacy, the FSID has been blanked out! I admit I am not using the absolute latest versions, but I'm kind of nervous to upgrade to the latest unless this is a known problem fixed in the current version. RE: [LegacyUG] Legacy Family Search losing links
I have been using FS extensively the last couple of days. I am trying to get everything in order because I am giving two interactive lectures on August 23rd, one on FamilySearch and one on Legacy. I haven't had any trouble in FamilySearch at all. I am using the .439 build. I am matching people, clearing duplicates, uploading information, sending over sources etc. The only thing I am not doing is downloading information from FS. I rarely transfer info that way anyway. All of the FSIDs are intact. All of my tabs are working correctly. All of my sync arrows are correct. [LegacyUG] Sharing Event vs 8
I am having problems with the share with feature in an event. I created a census event for a widow. Living with her is her divorced daughter and the daughter's son. Her grandson. I use the name list and add the daughter. I then search for the grandson. I select his name, but it doesn't come up on the list only a parents check box - which adds the divorced father and not the son. So the grandson has a unique name so instead of adding using the list I type in his name. The event still will not show up on the grandchild. Am I missing something? Grandson is not on that list because he is not an Immediate Relative.
