That said, here is what to do - this also works for cloud accounts such as dropbox. If, for instance, I want to link a pdf with a list of folks in Nebraska that are part of my family, here is what to do.1. Locate the file using Win Explorer2. It is on my external Drive G in a folder.3. Right click on the file and copy the nameAncS-AirAllegPA.pdfThen Right click and copy the path:G:\Ship-Air1914-62/ Combine the two:G:\Ship-Air1914-62/AncS-AirAllegPA.pdfCopy the link to your Person in the Notes Section of Legacy If the file is in your DropBox.Open Win ExplC:\Users\MarthaAG\DropboxC:\Users\MarthaAG\Dropbox\Legacy If you have a separate folder for Documents in your DB Legacy folder, the path is as above. If the file is online, access the file and copy the link, inserting it into your notes.But, be careful, the fluid nature of the web tells us that stuff can go away. And if you have files on RootsWeb, be careful. They lost tons of data with the recent hardware failure. On the Family View page, there is a row of icons below the vital statistics of each individual. The icon that is a picture frame with two images inside is the Media Gallery. Click on that icon. In Legacy 7.5, next click on the icon for Picture, Sound, Video, or File. In Legacy 8, next click on the tab Add Media, and a drop-down menu lists the types of media you can link. The list includes Picture, Sound, Video, Document, Internet Website, and Scan a Picture. Ross, If you want them in reports, then you'll have to copy and paste into Notes - General, Event ... whichever is appropriate. Then make sure you've opted to include that Note type in your report.
