Roxanne, The processor is an Intel i3-6100T 3.20 GHZ The RAM is 8 GB. I had kept the monitor from my old computer (ACER monitor) as well as the cable that connected it to the old computer. The All-in-One had the capability to connect that monitor. Roberta On Tue, Sep 12, 2017 at 6:41 PM, Roxanne Cummings-Basey < roxanne...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Roberta. Re: [LegacyUG] Swap Split Screen Windows
Hi Roxanne Legacy’s requirements for CPU and memory is minimal, so any current PC will do the job. If you get a PC with multiple display ports on the motherboard you should not need a graphics card, unless you actually need one – games, photo, video or audio editing, CAD design, etc.. Not certain if an all-in-one PC supports additional monitors, so you will need check that out. The best part of using two monitors, or one large one, is that it allows you to get both the Legacy display and web browser visible and large at the same time. I am running with a pair of Dell 24” monitors, through a GTX1060 graphics card because I do run games and photo editing. Re: [LegacyUG] Swap Split Screen Windows
Roberta you should be able to move Legacy as well, unless you have legacy newer than 8 in which case it might be different. I have Legacy 8. On the top right hand corner there should 3 spots, the one in the middle will make legacy smaller and will allow you to drag the program to the other monitor. Thank you. It worked. Didn't realize what you meant until I saw the "double square" in the upper right hand corner of the screen; clicked on it and BINGO! Wife uses Win 10 and additional monitor at work but not with Legacy of course. I do have a second little used laptop all in one with Legacy installed for traveling. Never tried with additional monitor. Guess I'll now check that out. Re: [LegacyUG] Swap Split Screen Windows
Interesting. I'm still using Win 7 on laptop and have a second monitor. Use it all the time including with Legacy. I will be buying a replacement laptop with Win 10 all in one soon. When I bought a new all-in-one computer in May, I decided to keep the monitor from the old one. Just love what I can do with it. Thanks Cathy. Shame there is no shortcut, but I will try what you suggest. Re: [LegacyUG] Swap Split Screen Windows
There isn't a shortcut to swap but you can drag and resize those two windows and so you can swap their sides. Better is to know which file you want on which side. If the one you're in when you go to Split Screen isn't the one you want on the left, when asked whether to open another file, simply say No and then highlight the left window and use File - Open file to open the one you want.
