[LincolnTalk] computer keyboard

2022-09-14 Thread Annamaria San Antonio
Hello LT,
The keys on my computer keyboard just stopped working. I cleaned it and
may have been too rough but it's also seen some years.
Does anyone have a spare one they'd like to sell or trade for something I
have for sale?
If interested in the latter, I will let you know what I have.
Thanks,

*~Jai *

[LincolnTalk] ND: Borrow fall outdoor decorative items

Hi LT!

I am planning a small ‘Harvest Fest’ for my son and daughter’s nursery
school in October and was wondering if anyone had any extra outdoor fall
‘theme’ decorative items I could borrow to spruce up the space (e.g. small
hay bales, scarecrows, etc.). I could pick up afternoon of 10/14 and drop
back off late afternoon 10/15 or any time 10/16.

Thank you!

[LincolnTalk] ISO a local babysitter or “parent’s helper”

2022-09-14 Thread Bob Waitt
Hello LT,
We are looking for a local babysitter or “parent’s helper” to help be an
extra set of hands for dinner/bedtime when one parent is traveling.

We have three kids - 3 yrs, 1.5 yrs and a newborn.

Hours would be 4:30-8:00pm on various weeknights. Typically a Monday
through Thursday for one or two weeks per month.

Person would need their own transportation to and from our house.

If a good fit, we’d also be interested in occasional weekend babysitting.

Please reach out if you know of anyone!

Call/text: 617-852-3735

*Masks now optional in the Lincoln Public Library*

The Lincoln Board of Health (BOH) voted to rescind the town-wide indoor
mask mandate effective Monday, March 14, 2022, in response to substantially
improved and positively trending public health data, including Lincoln’s
high vaccination rate.

Residents with weakened immune systems or at increased risk of severe
Covid-19 disease because of age or medical conditions, or who have a
household member at such increased risk, are advised by the Lincoln BOH and
the Commonwealth’s Department of Public Health (DPH) to continue to wear a
mask when indoors other than in their home, even if they are vaccinated.

We encourage the public to continue to wear masks in accordance with their
own comfort level and in compliance with the DPH guidelines cited above.
Private establishments may continue to *require masks upon entry.*

*Updated indoor mask use recommendation as of April 14, 2022*: “Due to
recent data showing an increase in positive COVID-19 cases, the Board of
Health members voted last night to strongly recommend that people wear
masks in public indoor spaces until early May as we see how the infection
rate from the new BA-2 variant evolves over the next few weeks after spring
vacation.”

[LincolnTalk] insect, moss, and weed control products

Debra,

Most of those are toxic chemicals and the best way to deal with them is to

Subject: [LincolnTalk] insect, moss, and weed control products

I am cleaning out a house and finding lots of insect, moss, and weed
control products. I have no first hand knowledge of the products.

There are many cans of Raid products of various sorts. A bag of granular
ant control for the lawn by Terro. Bottles of liquid Sevin as well as a bag
of dry Sevin. There is a Carpenter Ant control product that is basically
permethrin (many of us use permethrin on clothes to prevent ticks). There
is a full bottle of Moss B Gone, which is a liquid potassium soap product.

If anyone would have some use for these products, please let me know.

Public Notice

Renaming of Columbus Day

Last spring, Lincoln students wrote to the Select Board to request that the

The Board will discuss the proposal during its September 19th meeting, and
likely take the matter under advisement until its October 3rd meeting to
provide residents the opportunity to share their views before a vote is taken.
The Select Board's meetings are held in a hybrid format, creating the

Re: [LincolnTalk] Hazardous Waste registration

2022-09-14 Thread Debra Daugherty
I actually just signed up for this. The link on the Lexington webpage (the
hazardous waste is collection by Lexington) is:

https://www.lexingtonma.gov/241/Hazardous-Waste

They have time slots for you to choose from. The location is:

Minuteman Household Hazardous Products Regional Facility
Lexington Composting Facility
60 Hartwell Avenue
Lexington, MA 02421

[LincolnTalk] Hazardous Waste registration

2022-09-14 Thread Elder, Peggy
The link to register for the Hazardous Waste event for Sunday, September 18 was
accidentally deleted from the Town Website. It is now back on and anyone
wanting to go to the Hazardous Waste event for Sept. 18 can now pre-register.
Be aware that the link will be unavailable after Thursday so that a list of
registered people can be compiled before the event. If you want to attend
Sept. 18, please sign up in the next couple of days to be sure that you can get
registered. The other remaining dates for 2022 are Oct. 15 and Nov. 5. I am
sorry that this was inadvertently removed.

Re: [LincolnTalk] Canine Cancer

Wayne,

I’m sorry this may be the case. I second Daniela’s recommendation. NEVOG is
superior in all aspects of care.

Subject: [LincolnTalk] Canine Cancer

Hello all,

Our dog may have melanoma. We would like to go to a veterinary that
specializes in Oncology. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I think my choices are Blue Pearl, Tufts, and MSPCA.

thanks

Wayne

[LincolnTalk] ISO Ex pen to borrow through Tuesday

2022-09-14 Thread Michelle Barnes via Lincoln
Dear LincolnTalk,

I’m wondering whether anyone has an exercise pen for medium-sized dogs lying
around they aren’t using that I could borrow (or rent) through Tuesday?

Thank you,
Michelle Barnes
