Regards -- Jean-Pierre I answer myself to this old post because I found a better workaround than absolute path: instead of giving the same name to the local and global files and leaving the selection to the kpathsea utility, I put foo_default.tex in the standard teTeX tree, and put a conditional \input order to select \IfFileExists{foo.tex}{\input{foo}}{\input{foo_default}} This allows to remove completely the \input from the template document and put it in the class or package: local files of standard name can be included automatically, with a default file if the customized file is not provided. comma as separator in german numbers

Reuben Scanning the list archive, I find the solution: make a symlink Reuben from the TeX tree to /usr/lib/sgmltools. However, this is a Reuben kludge, as it is not needed for sgml2latex to work. It seems Reuben to me that LyX-configure should be fixed so that it finds Reuben linuxdoc-sgml.sty without needing such a link. It seems that the answer is that we don't care whether LyX can find linuxdoc-sgml.sty or not, since the scripts handle what is necessary. I'll just remove that from the tests and from LaTeXConfig.lyx.in. Are there other places that I should check? JMarc
marked text output
Currently I am using LyX to write my thesis and like it very much. Oone feature however, that I am missing very much in LyX is the clipboard to export text (import works well). The problem is, that normally we work with several programs (LyX of course, Framemaker, Powerpoint and other Windows programs we have to use, we do it with Wabi, normal Text Editors, ...) At the moment it is very hard, to get out some text quickly from LyX. O.k. I could output as text, and then search the lines I need, but in a hundred pages document? I have read, that this is an already known problem. Is there something planned? Maybe an easy to implement workaround could be, that marked text could be exported as text, or that it could be simply printed to stdout? Thanks, Torsten

comma as separator in german numbers
Hello, The german way of spelling numbers isn´t using "." as the floating point in numbers like "1.234" but a comma ",", such that the example would look like "1,234". The trouble is that the postscript output of "1,234" typed in math-mode isn´t "1,234" but carries an extra space:"1, 234". Is there a way around this feature?
