I have put the *.cls in $HOME/.TeX and run 'texhash', but this doesn't help. When I run 'env', no TEXINPUT is mentioned. In `/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/*/', many classes are located, but it doesn't seem to have any effect if I put the classes in one of those directories and run 'texhash' Ulrich -- _ *Linux: the choice of a GNU generation* _ Ulrich Grün mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] icq: 35629246 System: AMD-K6 350, 192MB. Problems installing new classes
Hi, I'm trying to install new classes (cd-cover and cv), but somehow it doesn't work out. I've copied the *.cls to '/usr/share/lyx/tex', and the *.layout to '$HOME/.lyx/layouts', and the *.lyx templates to '/usr/share/lyx/templates' This done, I did a 'texhash' in order to let LaTeX know about the new classes. After a reconfiguration of LyX, I restarted. When I use the new templates, LyX complains that the textclasses are unknown. Something must have gone wrong . Thanks if you can help me, Ulrich P.S. I've allready read 'Customization', the manual which describes the procedure, but it doesn't make it clear to me. -- _ *Linux: the choice of a GNU generation* _ Ulrich Grün Amsterdamsestraatweg 609 BIS 3553 EJ UTRECHT Tel:+31302467141 mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] icq: 35629246 System: AMD-K6 350, 192MB. CD-Inlets and Covers
I'd like to make cd-inlets and covers to stick onto the cd's, but I cannot find a template (LyX-1.1.6-1). Is there an address where I can download one ? I've installed the precompiled rpm from Kayvan instead of my own, and everything seems to work well. LyX compiled, wrong version of xforms (was: Re: error compiling 1.1.6-1.src.rpm)

An AMD K6 is a 'i586' as far as I know. Anyway, doing a "rpm --rebuild --target i568 (or i686) lyx-1.1.6.src.rpm" gives a: "Cannot open i586, file not found" With "rpm -bb lyx-1.1.6.spec" compilation succeded. Now the problem. I've installed the freshly build lyx-1.1.6.rpm (together with tetex-lyx). When I try to run LyX, the program complains following: "You are either running LyX with wrong version of a dynamic XForms library or you have build LyX with conflicting header and library (different versions of XForms." I have xforms-0.89. Isn't that a right one? Do I have to install 0.88-9 and recompile lyx?
