OF, if it's solid line, then it's not immediately clear to me why it would be slower, at least from rendering perspective. RE: [mapguide-users] Is there a file size limit?
I would describe the atlas as long lines with multiple vertexes. It is in an "intelligent watershed atlas" that can be used for modelling flow from head waters to the mouths in the ocean. RE: [mapguide-users] Is there a file size limit?
We do have a generalized layer that we display to about 1:250,000 and then we switch to the watershed atlas. The atlas is then available for the larger scales. The line style is a simple blue line. We didn't want to re-process the atlas because it would take a lot of work and it worked fine with MGE2008. But I suppose we could generalize it and cut it up into many parts if needed. thanks brad Martin Morrison wrote: > > Are you using a bunch of small segments for lines or a long polyline > with multiple vertexes? They always throw some exceptions when I try to connect to any PostgreSQL + PostGIS db. Under MGOS 1.2 OGR provider works fine with the same data. Does anyone use PostGIS with MGOS 2.0.1 and fdo-3.3.0? With which provider? Using the binary or compiling all from the source? Re: [mapguide-users] Mapguide Enterprise 2009 and Oracle View
I found a way to make the "view data" displayed in Enterprise 2009. Here my solution, with Autodesk Commercial FDO for Oracle with Oracle 10g I have a table (TABLE_1) with a spatial column (GEOMETRY), and a slave table (TABLE_2) with some other related fields. 1) Create a spatial index for TABLE_1, and register TABLE_1 into MDSYS.SDO_GEOM_METADATA_TABLE 2) Create the view between TABLE_1 and TABLE_2. (in this case: VIEW_1) 3) Manually insert a new row into MDSYS.SDO_GEOM_METADATA_TABLE by copying the values of TABLE_1 row. You only need to modify the SDO_TABLE_NAME field value, by inserting the name of the view (VIEW_1 in this case) 4) Into MapguideStudio, refresh the Oracle Connection (deleting and recreate the connection is the best way :) ) 5) Create the new layer from VIEW_1 This works for me... Re: [mapguide-users] Fusion bug - themed layers (legend)
Zac, we'll get on committing your fixes asap - I'm in a bit of a crunch right now with Mike on holiday and a few other things coming due. Most of the things you've reported seem straight forward but I would like to have someone take a few minutes on each issue and just make sure that there isn't something larger going wrong. Thanks again for taking the time to report these issues! Re: [mapguide-users] Lack of coordinate systems
Hi Kenneth, It certainly seems to be the same problem, but I have tried the solution (copying categories.txt into the both the nad directory and the data directory and setting the PROJ_LIB environment variable to the nad directory) but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I have checked permissions and this file has exactly the same permissions as everything else in the directory. When I enumerate the coordinate system categories I still only see the arbitrary X-Y option. Can someone who "fixed" this issue confirm whether they copied or moved the categories.txt file from the server directory, what the permissions are on it once it's moved, and whether they have the GDAL_DATA and PROJ_LIB environment variables set when they start the server. I am starting mgserver as root- is this likely to be part of the problem? Thanks Jo Kenneth Skovhede, GEOGRAF A/S wrote: > > Not sure it is the same problem, but the symptoms sound similar: > http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/ticket/582 > > Regards, Kenneth Skovhede, GEOGRAF A/S > > > Jackie Ng skrev: >> Does that file have the correct r/w permissions? >> >> - Jackie >> >> >> Joanne Cook wrote: >> >>> Hi All, >>> >>> I've just finished compiling the latest version of mapguide on Ubuntu >>> 8.04, and I (eventually) got through without any (obvious) failures or >>> errors. RE: [mapguide-users] Manipulating Maps in a Session, .NET API
Hi Nothi, Please see Maestro API: http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/maestro You need to reference OSGeo.MapGuide.MaestroAPI.dll and MapGuideDotNetApi.dll libraries to get started. Then look for RuntimeClasses.RuntimeMap, I'll see to post some coding examples on Wiki page. It's still thin on documentation but if you have some previous experience with managed MG API then it's rather straightforward. Kenneth also did a great job of enabling (de)serialization fro an to managed types. Re: [mapguide-users] Manipulating Maps in a Session, .NET API
There is no scale in the runtime map (MgMap). When you request that the image is rendered, you supply dpi, resolution and either center/scale or extent. You cannot store the scale or the center in the runtime map, you must store it locally in your client. Regards, Kenneth Skovhede, GEOGRAF A/S Johann Nothbauer skrev: Hi All!
