Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Marketing campaign/infographic idea: Freeing schools from proprietary software
It would be nice if someone at LibreOffice could send a response to that school whereby the use of the phrase "you are being `fact-checked`" and dispute the forced use of MS Office, and then send the usual reasons in order to educate the school re: LibreOffice. The fact that LibreOffice is universally available to all on any platform and where MS Office is not available on Linux, these days, is embarrassing - students using Linux as their operating system are being placed at a clear disadvantage by that school. Marc Le 2024-03-26 à 06 h 07, Mike Saunders a écrit : Hi everyone, On Twitter (I mean, "X") someone posted about their school requiring students to use Microsoft Office. Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Excel World Championship - something similar for LibreOffice?
I would suggest to avoid any competition where there is a possibility of one user's solution being publicly "challenged" by a more adept user. There could be suggestions to improve a submission, however, one user's knowledge/ability may be quite different from another. We should avoid anything that would come close to "shaming" a submitter. Also, keep in mind that someone's workflow may be the impetus as to why the process of their submission may be the reason for which they are suggesting in their submission. As a good example of such a competition is the Canadian Geographic Magazine yearly photography competition where for this year they got over 14,000 submissions and chose but a few winners. However, there is a lot of positive talk of their competition submitters from the organizers [https://canadiangeographic.ca/articles/announcing-the-winners-of-the-2023-canadian-wildlife-photography-of-the-year-competition/]. Marc Le 2023-11-24 à 11 h 49, John Mills a écrit : I agree with Cor, you want to be more specific, you could have activities for each module. Also it could turn out to be a training opportunity if the submitter is so kind. I'd probably start with Calc and go from that point. Make it specific and people could try an "one up" each other. An actual competition like Excel could even be a possibility if there is a lot of interest. As I am not a coder, I try to contribute as best as I can to the project. However, others may not have the time to contribute to the project with marketing, QA verifying bugs and triage, docs etc. So, people who join in to help the project by donating some funds makes of them part of the project. Those who would rather help out with donating funds are aware that funds generally go to infrastructure, meetup/conference costs, hardware purchases, marketing kits for our native language groups in various countries, etc ... Donors are a category of contributors to the project that should not be ignored. I believe that LibreOffice users are quite aware that they are donating to the project and not for the product ... they all know that the product comes with no financial requirements; if they believe they are donating to the product, then usually one of our contributors on the help list/forums will set them straight. IMO, best we consider all categories of donations to the project, whether it be code, design, QA, Docs, Marketing, Advocacy, financial supporters to the project (this is our donor-base). If one is assuming that the code alone has made the project what it is, then, it would be a sad statement on the TDF/LibreOffice project and would do nothing more than be-little all of the other contributors donation to time, help and financial support to make LibreOffice so great a project. So, yes, I am for this. As far as frequency, I favour every the three month info-bar. I think every second month a little too quick. I would also favour more like: * after 3 months -- info-bar on "Get Involved" * after 6 months -- info-bar on "Donate to support ..." * then skip to a 9-month schedule after that last 6-month info-bar. Asking for either "Get Involved" and "Donate" -- by then a new version of LibreOffice would be in the wings and users would be hyped about the next LibreOffice iteration. To be transparent of these info-bars, I would like it to appear somewhere on the official LibreOffice site where the frequency is shown and perhaps also the rationale for the frequency and a good explanation of what is meant as "Get Involved" and "Donate ..." (or linked to their appropriate pages). Make it clear as to where the money is being invested and to the German non-profit/charitable laws governing the use of the money ... do the German non-profit/charitable laws/rules force the project to spend all of the donation income within that fiscal year? And also add to the page financials that show where past donations were spent and perhaps any projections as to the next fiscal year's plans for donation-income spending. Maybe when a document uses fonts that are missing on the system, > we can have LibreOffice displays a message box that shows which fonts > are missing and which ones are being used as substitutes? Hi Raffaele, I find that you have raised many good suggestions that would enrich the LibreOffice suite. However, I also agree with Italo regarding his worries about increasing the size of the LibreOffice download, should the fonts be included in the LibreOffice package, that, this should be avoided. As incredible it is, many people still use dial-up, or, close to dial-up speeds and worry about their download times. I would propose to add your suggestions as a feature request on the LibreOffice bugzilla and see if any dev would be interested in implementing them [https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/]. The feature request would be something like the following: === Feature request: 1. Create an extra function in the "Options -> Fonts" menu, where a user could choose to download a set of LibreOffice approved substitutions fonts. The function could then offer to download from a TDF/LibreOffice font repository on TDF servers and then add them to the user's instance of LibreOffice, after which, add these newly downloaded fonts as substitutions in the "Options ->Fonts" section automatically. This would virtually not add any size to the installer, the user would have an easy way of installing MSFont substitutions from inside the "LibreOffice->Options->Fonts" section (it would be called something like "Download compatible MS Office Fonts" or "Install compatible MSO Fonts", and, LibreOffice and its dev/QA/User teams would be able to vet appropriate opensource substitution fonts for the repository -- the QA team would subsequently review the compatible font lists at every large upgrade or if/when MS would make any changes affecting the list of compatible fonts. (Note that the same could be done for any Apple fonts at the same time, should there be any.) 2. Related to the substitution of fonts, LibreOffice would have a popup window appear whenever a font substitution would occur, advising the user of the substitution. There would be an additional "switch" in the LibreOffice->Options-:Fonts section where the user could switch this function off/on as choice. This function would be turned on by default. === This would solve both the concerns of the download size, and, would also solve the issue with interoperability of fonts for MS docs (well, as best as it could be done) ... that is, until the ODF becomes more of an accepted default. The function could then offer to download from a TDF/LibreOffice repository and then add them to the user's instance of LibreOffice, and adding them as substitutions in the "Options ->Fonts" section. This would virtually not add any size to the installer, the user would have an easy way of installing MSFont substitutions, and, LibreOffice and its dev/QA/User teams would be able to vet appropriate opensource substitution fonts for the repository. This would solve both the concerns of the download size, and, would also solve the issue with interoperability of fonts for MS docs (well, as best as it could be done) ... that is, until the ODF becomes more of an accepted default. In Canada we have strict laws governing charitable entities where one who has a conflict of interest is usually not able to "profit" from any discussions at board level. Thus, in many discussion/decisions at board level, anyone with conflict of interest must recuse themselves from any discussions/decisions. As well, a charitable entity has to be careful when getting involved in any kind of "for-profit" actions as this may cause the revocation of the charitable status of the group. I am not sure of any other countries that may have similar laws/rules as in Canada, but, the TDF and LibreOffice may want to be careful in how it involves itself in "for-profit" ventures as it may have legal liability issues for anyone participating or seeking to join the TDF board where they may find themselves, as per their own native country laws on charitable board rules. I am not sure, but even if the TDF is regulated by German laws, that, should any liability issues arise against any TDF board member from another country, there may arise a case where one could apply the member's native country's charitable laws. There should be a clear separation of charitable from enterprise involvement of both. Perhaps you could tell us if this should be considered before we start getting the TDF/LibreOffice more involved in preparing any enterprise marketing plans. We should be careful as to not put any of our board members role on the board in any kind of jeopardy. So, this is not a self-reassurance exercise for > community members, but a product positioning effort. I find this a little confusing. Your October 26th note to the marketing team read: "1. Product Label for the community supported version provided by TDF (i.e. Personal or Community or other proposals) " Could you explain how "Community" has now been dropped from the list or potential labels? From the way you describe in the above paragraph, also confusing. So, it sounds like the LibreOffice Enterprise version will be the same for all ecosystems companies? So, for example, the desktop version of Collabora will be identical to CIB desktop version? As will the online version of LibreOffice online? > > So, the proposals which can be included in the list are Sophie's > "CREATIVE" and Marco's "STANDARD" and "DESKTOP", as they provide several > options in term of communications. Some of the companies use the "powered by" > concept but other do not, and the decision about the product naming is > theirs. This is the reason why there is a LibreOffice Enterprise. Your October 26 note to the marketing teams read: " 3. LibreOffice Enterprise label 2.1 Marketing will collect ideas and suggestions about the use of the ingredient brand by November 10, and then will summarize them in a guide 2.2 Board will comment, update and approve the guide by November 25 TOPICS TO DISCUSS 1. LibreOffice Enterprise label 2. Who should use it and where (i.e. just on products, products and marketing materials, other places) " Also confusing. Were you not looking for opinions with regards to the enterprise label? I believe that there is a flaw in this approach. I don't believe that you will move people by some artificial moral suasion that, should you find it not work in a couple of years, then, to have it reopen to try another label. IMO, having a more believable label that fits each group should be what the project look to offer. If the label does not signify a sense of belonging to the membership but rather hint more that the "real" software to download is that of an ecosystem product, then you run the risk of hinting that membership work is being appraised more of lower quality. I believe people will hold value more to an open project that speaks plainly to its membership. This would not prevent the LibreOffice community to promote and support the ecosystem with added value marketing and publicity. I believe you are giving too little credit to the label "Community" and am a little surprised at how fast this label or any other would be dismissed without membership input or vote given the parameters given at the outset - to be honest, I would have still suggested "Community" regardless. The proof that many organizations have travelled this road is that there is a great amount of open source projects where they are supporting their ecosystem partner with "Community" - "Enterprise" labels. Searching on "Community" brings back multitudes of hits on these labels ... there must be a reason why this there are so many frequent mentions and why it seems to be successful. The label "Community" should be meaningful to the project membership, but, just as powerful to show the quality of project code that is then reused by enterprise companies who manage to create income. All done cooperatively. Re: [libreoffice-marketing] MARKETING PLAN: Some Proposals
Hi Italo, Le 2020-11-09 à 10 h 04, Italo Vignoli a écrit > Proposals in line with the objective: > > COMMUNITY: makes the Community happy, but does not communicate to users > the right message, as Community is the feature-limited version of open > core projects (best case, competent users or 1% of all users), or the > organization where you treat addictions (worst case, or 98.9% of all > users). IMHO not applicable. Thanks for your input Italo. I believe this is the kind of feedback that this discussion needs. COMMUNITY: On the contrary, I would like to suggest this label as most appropriate. Trying to drive home the fact that LibreOffice is a membership project has been one of constant message that we have been trying to push to the members - in that when we speak of the LibreOffice project we speak to a community and not a sale-product. A good rationale for the use of "LibreOffice Community Edition" is that the LibreOffice membership team (coders, QA, l10N, marketeers, docs, etc ...) put out a product for its use and make it available to the general public for free. I believe that this simple message would be quite understandable by both the membership and general public. Having a clear and understandable label is important, just as important as having a label that is easily translatable and understood the same way under many languages. As for any public user seeking to use a hardened version of LibreOffice, then we can simply direct them to the ecosystem enterprises where the public may find paid versions to suit their needs, be it on the desktop or cloud or cloud service or for small to large scale deployment. This is where both for the membership project and enterprise ecosystem can work hand in hand and create interesting income opportunities with the software. By using the label "Community", the membership continue under the same core values, vision and mission as found on the TDF landing page. As even Italo points out in the first message "COMMUNITY: makes the Community happy". Admitting that the LibreOffice software on the membership site is not an "out-of-the-box" software solution to scale in enterprises, nor an LTS version for just those users who wish to have a stable version over the span of a few years is nothing to be ashamed of. It does not indicate the level of code excellence of the software, just that the code speaks for itself. Taking this approach will allow the ecosystem partners to step in and create income to enterprise level solutions where the LibreOffice project is simply not able to provide. However, where we can help out is with the messaging and marketing/publicity. Supporting the ecosystem this way would be better served to all. 2. Where to position the label: title bar, about box, start center Title bar and start center. Mention in the "about", but keep in mind that the LibreOffice "ABOUT US" speaks of and to the membership and not product. So, in a sense, the "LibreOffice Community" label has always been there, but not for the purpose of identifying "product", but to identify "community". 3. As for the ecosystem edition(s), I am still in favour of the "LibreOffice Powered by ...". It allows for the ecosystem partners to brand their versions in the label itself, is defining and easily translatable. There is no guessing as to what the meaning is all about and no need to demystify. Finally, I would hope that the final decision would go to a membership vote as this is quite a defining moment. Whether people participated in the talks or not, there may have been some steep roadblocks with language where some members may not have been comfortable enough to write and participate in English. But, the final decision should go to the membership, we all need to learn and to keep working together. The TDF and LibreOffice is an amazing community. Re: [libreoffice-marketing] The Edition Matter
Perhaps Italo could chime in and inform us if having "no label is not an option". We have to be consistent in a marketing plan, whether short or long-term. But, for me, the preference would be to continue with no label if this is an option, however, if a label is needed, "Community Edition" is what I would prefer. From my perspective, there is no negative connotation, the public will get exactly what it is, a version of LibreOffice built by members of the volunteer community and used by the members of the TDF/LibreOffice. I don't believe that new-comers to LibreOffice site will see the "LibreOffice Community Edition" as a negative, as long as our website messaging is clear on the TDF and LibreOffice Mission Statements. As for any commercial versions of LibreOffice, then "Powered by" is still my preferred, regardless of any community label. But, really, Italo should chime in and set us straight, again, and inform us if going with no label is an option. There is nothing wrong with going back on a marketing plan, but as long as we are being consistent in our planning discussions. More members need to chime in on this important discussion ... I am surprised that non of the board members nor any of the implicated commercially-connected members are not participating in this discussion that was called by Italo. Especially when Italo has set a deadline date for the discussion and then membership vote. More members need to be informed that this discussion is taking place; just so that the membership all get to have their say. Re: [libreoffice-marketing] The Edition Matter
Hi Telesto, Thanks for the large reply, of which, from what I gather is that you are saying that the definition of "Community" can be viewed from many perspectives. My comment to this is, this is where the TDF/LibreOffice needs to message in a clearer way on the website as to its definition of "community", just to make it crystal clear. We all come from different cultures, I am Canadian, and in particular French-Canadian, so, my interpretation of "community" will be nuanced by my cultural background. However, if a clear definition on the TDF and LibreOffice offers a clear message of the definition of "community" then it can be treated as our reference-guide. As for giving credit to the coding enterprises that makes in large part what LibreOffice is, sure, I am on side with this. However, let's not forget that others have committed resources to the project. One example of such is the group of national domain holders who provide LibreOffice brand legal cover in various countries. For example, www.LibreOffice.ca is owned and supported by a Canadian individual who supports this cover (as well as other .ca domains), as well as potential liability. This hidden group is never spoken of, and, never credited for giving help to the project. There are many non-TDF-members on the docs team who also support through great effort and also some who base their doc support through their business who are also part of this large hidden group. And this is just the tip of some of the hidden groups who are generally left with no credit for their efforts. So, essentially, we should credit all who contribute to the project. But, sure, I completely agree, that the project should acknowledge in particular the ecosystem-partners as a strategy of moving the project on in the for-profit ecosystem, we should definitely consider this acknowledgement. But, with the hopes that the ecosystem-partners also realize the nature of the LibreOffice project's mission and vision is the heartbeat of the organization. As for your comments on timely re-evaluations, and the potential mess it may/does create. This is just part of the process. Membership talk is healthy, whether negative or positive. Learning how to work in a project with some give-and-take is healthy. We should all embrace any kind of conversation. We all come from different backgrounds, culture and knowledge. Can you tell us if the conference admin has made arrangements where there are last-minute attendees that could register at the very last minute before a talk? I realize that, for running the conference, it is best to pre-register, but, the reality being that many of us have to negotiate through our work and daily assignments, some of us can only plan to attend on the day or even hour of a presentation. If there are still open "seats" for attendees for some events, are we able to queue up and eventually be permitted to an event at the last minute? This would at least allow for a maximum number of attendees where sign-up times cover all eventualities in our daily lives. If this particular label is adopted, the TDF/LibreOffice should be clear on defining the meaning of the terms of "LibreOffice Community Edition". Clear messaging is important on large projects as many different cultures are served and different combination of terms may or may not bring on multiple connotations. So, the TDF/LibreOffice should be clear in stating its reasons for adopting any labels, product names etc. on the LibreOffice and TDF websites. BTW ... I like your signature! Great! Re: [libreoffice-marketing] The Edition Matter
I suggest we try to keep it as honest as possible. The membership should speak out on this item re: "edition". IMO, "Community Edition" is fine, and agree that this could be modified at a future date when the membership would review the edition labels; perhaps reviewed every 4-5 years or something of the like. We profess how we are a community and collective of many different language groups working on the project, whether it be coders, designers, translation, docs, etc. So, in my mind "community" is the exact description. It does not bring up the idea of setting any commercial ties, etc. If members outside of the community, users, decide to adopt LibreOffice, then they do so and enjoy the fruits of the wonderful software solution that LibreOffice brings to them. As for any commercial versions of LibreOffice, they (the people behind "commercializing" LibreOffice) should also be made to abide by a membership-decided label. I like the idea of "Powered by ..." label, not sure if this would infringe on any trademarks. But, by and large, should any organization wish to use the LibreOffice suite as we know, coming from the community, then no problem. Just that, at this point, no commercial support is built into the community project for such a beast, Having a robust list of commercial businesses, advertised on the LibreOffice website, that can help install LibreOffice for commercial usage, IMO, is pretty well an accepted solution to most who run businesses and search for commercial application solutions. In this day of age, most businesses are used to seeing a community opensource version of software with an alternate commercial version of the same for a price. So, for me, "Community Edition" is fine. We would also need to decide on the commercial label at the same time, of which, I prefer "Powered by ...". [libreoffice-marketing] LibreWaterloo Community Meeting -- LibreWaterloo LibreLogo -- Wed. Oct. 7
Hi all, FYI, the LibreWaterloo Community is meeting on Oct. 7th at 7PM (UTC-4) with this month's topic being LibreOffice's LibreLogo. "One of the hidden gems of the LibreOffice suite is the incorporation of LibreLogo. What is LibreLogo? LibreLogo is an IDE (integrated development environment) written in Python that uses a command set very similar to that of the Logo programming language. In fact, whereas Logo programming has been integrated into many math curriculums in many school programs, LibreLogo has, since its appearance, made itself known by its own right, an important educational tool in many countries. With the adoption of the LibreOffice suite in many school systems, many educators and math programs have/are making use of the integrated LibreLogo module and teaching the art of programming to young students. To give us a better perspective on the LibreOffice LibreLogo module, its adoption in curriculum as well as popularity, we welcome Professor Gilvan Vilarim (Brazil) who has had the pleasure of working closely with the LibreLogo module as well as with the LibreLogo lead developers. Join us in welcoming Professor Vilarim and perhaps getting a little practice at programming at LibreLogo." ... If you are interested in attending and would like a little history of LibreLogo, how it is applicable to educational curriculum as well as getting to try out LibreLogo, feel free to RSVP marc.p...@librewaterloo.ca. [libreoffice-marketing] Email Signature -- Project Suggestion
Hi all, As we are talking about ways to attract new people to the TDF/LibreOffice project, I would like to suggest we choose a day in the year where the marketing team would run a campaign encouraging people to add to their email signatures their support for the LibreOffice project. This could be a yearly recurring event run by the marketing team and where we could suggest some signature links or comments for people on our mailing lists to add to their signature (at the bottom of their emails). This in itself would be a good way to promote the LibreOffice project and inspire others to try and perhaps join in on the fun. For example, on most of my email aliases I have added some lines of support for LibreOffice (see below). Most of my contacts are now aware of LibreOffice and I must say that many of my contacts are now using LibreOffice either exclusively or in conjunction with MSOffice. You should do occasional polls like this just to shake things up and show LibreOffice outsiders (those who use MSO) that there is another serious option out there and people are actually using it for specific and valid reasons. Perhaps do polls that are less generic, but more specific such as, something like, "Do you use LibreOffice in education using extensions such as Zotero for building bibliography?" or "Do you use LibreOffice Calc for large-scale calculations for your business?" etc. This would help with connecting people who have a common purpose in using LibreOffice and actually give them a face/name on Twitter to contact ... and create "buzz" around LibreOffice usage. [libreoffice-marketing] LinuxQuestions.org Members Choice Awards - "Office Suite of the Year" - vote
Hi all, The site LinuxQuestions.org is again offering users the chance to vote on their "Members Choice Awards" categories. They are debating this year as to whether do away with the "Office Suite of the Year" award, as LibreOffice usually wins by such a wide margin. Feel free to add your voice and spread the word about the vote! You may find the voting site here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/2016-linuxquestions-org-members-choice-awards-123/office-suite-of-the-year-4175596296/ On the topic over whether they should close this particular category, IMO, if there were no other office suite choices other than LibreOffice, then closing the category would make sense. However, there are plenty of choices in the Linux office suite arena and it is always nice to see how people in general feel of their most favourite office suite. Yes, the margins are quite wide between LibreOffice and the next second office suite choice, however, it is always nice to see who is in second, third, fourth place standing. It is also always nice to see that the work put into LibreOffice is validated by an outpouring of its users. I would then suggest that we should not only place our vote for LibreOffice, but make sure to comment on the page, that the "Office Suite of the Year Award" not be closed. The category not only validates the TDF/LibreOffice achievement, but also serves to validate and recognize other open source/for-profit projects in the office suite category, regardless of the standing. I cannot imagine how the awards scene would look like if all other award organizations decided to do the same and close down categories for the same reason. Hope you can take time to vote for your favourite office suite and feel free to browse the other categories on the site. Hi Mike, Le 2016-05-25 09:44, Mike Saunders a écrit : Hi everyone, There's a lot of great content on our marketing wiki, but it can be a bit overwhelming for new contributors. So I've made a "first steps" guide here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/First_Steps All feedback welcome! If people are happy with it, we can put it as the first link on https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing and spread it around social media to (hopefully) bring more people in to the Marketing project. Thanks for doing this. Always nice to give some direction to new-comers. The list looks good and not complicated. Nice! Perhaps letting new comers know that helping out does not necessarily mean a large contribution of time, and that any amount of contribution, no matter how much or little time involved is most welcomed. Many people think that you have to promise hours of time but really, even if all it involves is about 5 minutes/day or 20 minutes to help proof messages or fix wiki pages, then this is also welcomed. One other aspect that I usually think really important is that people should have fun contributing ... it is not a job, but volunteered time. If it becomes a "chore" helping out and no fun, then they could try another section with LibreOffice and see if they could contribute elsewhere -- it is amazing how one's talents can be put to good use on the project! Well, files are included at the end of such page. regards Just so that you are aware, there are sometimes "late posters" of events and I usually try to move events in-out sequentially. For example, as of 2 days ago, there were only 2 event banners for Feb, and I had added a CeBIT banner. However, today, our Indian members mentioned an upcoming event on Feb. 12, for which I created a banner so that they also may have banner exposure on our slider. The CeBIT banner will go back up as soon as one of the February banner-dates is completed. With regards to uploading the banners to the marketing pages, it may be just as easy to suggest people "right-click" on the banner they wish to save on the LibreOffice events page [http://www.libreoffice.org/events/] (or from any other locale -- there is no reason why the banners need to always originate from the EN page) and then to localize them as they wish. There have been thus far 23 banners since the month of October 2015. Next banner change is this upcoming Saturday with CeBIT banner going back up. Thanks! Perhaps, seeing as Tim was away ill for all of those days (weeks) that he is not completely aware of the SourceForge debacle ... he may want to read up on it. Marc The SF debacle with the GIMP Windows install file should not affect an ISO file, hopefully. Since it does not depend on an executable file, such as .exe, to unpack and install the .iso file, there would not be any chance for them to insert some "extras". Well, that said, the only way it would happen would be for them to recreate the .iso file itself. The only thing that is executable is the auto loading the DVD's initial HTML file to the browser, within Windows of course. I do that for ease of use for a Windows user, since the most OS downloads were/are from Windows systems. Of course, Debian based Linux systems just show an icon on the "open desktop" when the DVD is inserted in the reader/burner. Much prefer Linux's security, and free software, over Windows for most of my needs. YES, it would be great to have the ISO file uploaded to a TDF server. If there was another free service, such as SF, for a free repository for files as large as a DVD, i.e. 3.7 to 4.0 gig in size, I would like to know. My hosting service does not allow such file sizes and no repository functioning within its service contract. My only issue for uploading the ISO file[s] is the fact that my upload speed for my Internet access is slow, where it can take 10 hours +/- to upload and my web access is almost nonexistent while the uploading is going on - i.e. do it at night with no monitoring for connection and/or system issues. Does this prevent you from uploading to our servers rather than the SF servers? I seem to recall that you had some issues with uploading to our servers. We're applying latest fixes to the translation, and I expect publication sometime next week. I doubt that qualifies for a PR on its own, but a short announce on our blog might be worthwhile. I try to get the data extracted to a wiki table, and if that fails or is too time consuming, will publish in ODS. Given we had to translate from German to English, community improvements to the individual namings are highly welcome - accountant English is not the easiest one. ;-) Florian I would like to commend the TDF/LibreOffice BoD for the decision to publish the ledgers in public. This is always a bold step on the part of any organization, but certainly proof of the resolve of the TDF/LibreOffice group of transparency in its operations. Congrats to all of you.
