There is no downloadable version of the magazine

 = Background Analysis =
Some users like to store magazines, and prefer a monthly version where can
read all articles in one publication. The main idea is to create a monthly
downloadable version, in different formats like PDF, to publish all the
 article of each month.

 = Ideas =
 * Use a wordpress plugin to automate the creation of the format. Until now
 the proposed plugins are:
  1. IssueM[[BR]]https://wordpress.org/plugins/issuem/ [[BR]]The good thing
is the autogeneration by date, issue-based publication and simple
configuration. GPLv2 Licence.[[BR]]The cons: no table of content, no
magazine cover, is just: publish this articles and goodbye.
  2. PDF Create Station[[BR]]https://wordpress.org/plugins/kalins-pdf-
 creation-station/ [[BR]]The pros: Highly configurable, issue-based
publication[[BR]]The cons: One guy development make hard to update and get
responses to bugs and issues found in the plugin.

 = Problem =

The Marketing project does not always communicate well the work we are
doing in terms of filed tickets and other recurring tasks. To help new
contributors get involved, more "easyfix"-style tasks should be created
that any contributor of varying experience would be able to take on.

 = Analysis =

Creating these kinds of tasks will make it easier for people to get
involved and slowly work their way up to other types of tasks. This has
been demonstrated (successfully) by other sub-projects.

 = Enhancement Recommendation =

In addition to a "ticket filing frenzy", having a long-term strategy for
this would be helpful. We don't just want to create these tasks for Fedora
24 and then run into the same problem next year. Looking ahead to the
future would be helpful for the longevity of Marketing.

I'm postponing discussing this ticket until after (or maybe during) Flock.

Comment (by bproffit):

In order to manage the Fedora social media accounts, there needs to be a
solid plan for managing the accounts to ensure there is no unauthorized
access to the accounts. Three principles for defining such a policy should
 be maintained.

 * Transparency
 * Continuity
 * Capability of acting swiftly in the event of a breach

The purpose for distributing passwords is so that we can log into the
accounts to generate new content (that may not always be from a Fedora
source, like the CommBlog and Magazine), engage with our audience, and
 help build a positive brand.

To assist with the management of passwords across a group of users, we can
use pass, a command-line tool that will enable a password store
(collection of passwords) to be maintained within a git repository.

This repository would be private, and maintained on GitHub, GitLab, or
another Fedora-accessibly repo of our choice. Only these people would
always have access to this repository:

 * Fedora Community Lead
 * Fedora Project Leader
 * Fedora Marketing Committee Chairperson

In addition, other members of this group could include:

 * OSAS Social Media Designate
 * Any vetted social media volunteers

This would not only keep an accurate list of who has access to the social
medai passwords (via the repo's authorized user list), but would also be a
quick and safe way to share changed passwords if a breach occurred on a
given social media channel and a password had to be quickly changed. Any
changes would be pushed to the remote repository and subsequently pulled
 into the local forks.

Drawbacks to a single-repository approach would be that all authorized
users would have access to all social media channel passwords. This is
good for cross-coverage, but could pose a security risk. This risk should
be minimized by the vetting of social media content volunteers.

 Action Items:

 * Choose a home for the private repo
 * Determine who will have access to password store moving forward
 * Confirm that a single repo to hold the password stores is the approved
 approach.

Thus far, we manage @Fedora, Fedora on Facebook, the community and brand

Alas, HootSuite offers no such discount. Would that they did, because this
would pretty much solve the situation.

We are looking at pass, coupled with a private git repo. (See next

 meeting-1/2016-07-06/marketing.2016-07-06-21.00.html 2016-07-07
 meeting].'''

Firstly, I should have updated this ticket immediately after the meeting
last night, which was my mistake. Here's a quick summary of where we're at
 with this.

 = Why =

To add context as to why we're doing this, I think it's important to look
at how it's being done already. There seems to be some degree of password
sharing already going on with the handful of people who have access to the
accounts. I assume the passwords either are or were distributed in a
secure manner between the two parties.

Having a standardized method of storing these passwords and distributing
them to trusted members ensures that the best practices are being followed
with how these passwords are managed. By having a clearly communicated
process behind this, it helps prevent less vectors from being exposed from
 however passwords are distributed now.

Brian put forth three principle needs for defining a policy when it comes
 to password management and distribution:

 1. Transparency
 2. Continuity
 3. Capability of acting swiftly in the event of a breach

The purpose for distributing passwords is so that we can log into the
accounts to generate new content (that may not always be from a Fedora
source, like the CommBlog and Magazine), engage with our audience, and
 help build a positive brand.

It's worth noting that same platforms have ways to do this already
(Facebook allows you to add accounts to a page, Google+ lets you add page
managers). I don't know of a way to do this with Twitter, YouTube,
diaspora, or some others. Ideally, storing as little data as possible in a
hypothetical database / repository would be preferred.

 = Rattic =

Looking at the current state of Rattic and the feedback from woohuiren and
puiterwijk, we agreed this is probably not the best solution for us.

 = HootSuite / Socioboard =

We recognize the benefits of not storing this data or coming up with
alternative means to do so. Having a platform that we could assign a user
account to, versus granting a password, would be simpler to manage and
make it easy to revoke credentials from a user.

'''HootSuite''': HootSuite is the most powerful and "best" tool for the
job, but it is neither free as in freedom or as in beer. After a certain
number of users added to an account, the pricing rises sharply to
"enterprise" tier. However, it does meet all of the capabilities we'd need
from software like it. I think using this comes more of a question about
 our project principles than anything.

'''Socioboard''': I've spent a far bit of time looking at Socioboard today
because it looked exciting and a potential solution to the problem, but
there was a catch. There's a paid, "enterprise" version (socioboard.com)
and a free, open source core platform (socioboard.org). Going through the
FOSS version, it appears to just be the source for the client and server,
with not a whole lot of instructions on how to use it. As far as I could
tell, we would also have to set up an instance ourselves, as compared to
using a hosted instance from the Socioboard team.

With the FOSS version, I could not find such an option available. I left
 three issues [https://github.com/socioboard/socioboard-core/issues/36
 [1]][https://github.com/socioboard/socioboard-core/issues/37
 [2]][https://github.com/socioboard/socioboard-core/issues/38 [3]] open on
their repository, but I don't know if this project is stable enough for
 our needs, unfortunately. :(

 = Using pass =

pass seems like the best solution available given the context of the
above. In our meeting, we had a few ideas how the technical side ''could''
work, but some of the policy questions are still a little bit open.

One idea we thought of to maintain a clear count of who has privileges and
access is a git repository locked to members of a particular FAS group.
The FAS group would essentially maintain a roster of who has access, and
if I understand how some other repositories work, it could be view/write
limited to only members of the FAS group.

We also were unsure if using different keys for different directories was
possible as linuxmodder mentioned, but he also said it was very difficult
to use, so it might be easier to just use one pass repository.

In case you hadn't seen yet, Rattic is dead:

I would strongly object to using that at the very least.

Just wondering, but would it be an idea to instead of sharing the
passwords, use a tool that allows social media posting from a web
interface without having to share the password?

I bet there's even wordpress plugins to do such things right from within

Rattic's last commit was 22 Aug 2015. Lots of unresolved issues on Github
 [1] as well.

 -1 for Rattic.

pass, although having lesser features, seem to have a healthy dose of
contributors on their Git repo. Since pass's passwords can be synchronized
via Git, I think it is sort of viable since Fedora infra already have a
Git system integrated with our current Fedora login. On top of that,
 Fedora's system supports GPG.

 +1 for pass.

 = What happened today =

We briefly discussed this during the meeting, and I put out a

call on the mailing list] for some other Marketing team members to review
this ticket, add comments, and take votes on the two solutions.

= What would be helpful =

I tried to add my best interpretation of advantages / disadvantages to
using Pass for our password distribution, although I am biased towards it
as I am an active user of it already. I don't know much about
[http://rattic.org/ Rattic] nor have I used it, so if anyone who does know
more about it could offer up advantages / disadvantages to using it, that
would help add context to this discussion.

Looking through the [http://rattic.org/ Rattic website], the developers
 even provide
 [https://github.com/tildaslash/RatticWeb/tree/master/docs/ansible Ansible
playbooks] for deploying it. Whoa! That's pretty cool, might also be a
good factor to consider for Fedora Infrastructure if we choose this tool.

 = Taking a vote =

I'm going to withhold taking my final vote on this until either next
week's meeting or if someone can add more context / personal experience
about using Rattic to the ticket. Looking at Rattic, it seems to cover all
of the bases of things we need very well, but I'd like a human
verification / +1 from someone else about it before wholeheartedly backing
 it.

 = Problem =

 In

previous discussions], we had talked about secure password management and
distribution to safely and securely distribute confidential information
such as passwords for social media accounts or other Fedora-related,
 shared accounts.

We need a system that can handle having multiple "caretakers" that manage
all the passwords, user accounts that can individually access certain
accounts / passwords, have some kind of convenient way to regenerate
passwords if a user is removed or has their privileges changed.

 = Analysis =

When we discussed this originally, we decided to approach the
Infrastructure team to get their feedback / ideas on such an idea about
how to manage this. We also wanted to answer questions such as…

 * How many people will need access to the passwords?
 * How much data would be stored (e.g. how many passwords, for what
services, is it small-scale or large-scale, etc.)?
 * How often will access to a password be granted?
 * How often will access to a password be revoked?

 = Enhancement Recommendation =

 === pass ===
The Infrastructure team originally proposed for us to consider using
[https://www.passwordstore.org/ pass], a Unix command line password
management utility. Pass uses GPG keys to encrypt passwords and can
 synchronize them via git.

 '''Advantages'''
 * Lightweight, easy to maintain (theoretically)
 * Uses tried and trusted tech to secure passwords (GPG)
 * Little overhead to maintain a secure repository within Fedora's
 Infrastructure

 '''Disadvantages'''
 * No per-user customization (anyone whose GPG key id is added to the
repository has access to all passwords)
 * Requires anyone with access to have understanding and reliability to use
 GPG as expected
  * A compromised key could cause issues if someone who needs access is not
 extremely familiar with using GPG.
 * Changing passwords in the event of a dropped GPG key means changing ALL
passwords in the entire repository for everyone (no modularity in terms of
a user who should have access to a subset / specific password)

 === Rattic ===
I've never used Rattic or do I know much about it, but it seems like a
more complete solution than pass. I'm going to CC Brian Proffitt to this
ticket in case he can add more context to this discussion.

Eventually, after discussing in a meeting, we'd like to take a vote on
this and bring a formal proposal to the Infrastructure team.

I think this is a good idea as well. Is having special mentions and
acknowledgements at something like Flock (and possibly regional FUDCons,
where relevant) useful? That might be one avenue to pursue too. I think
tying it into a network of support and recognition for contributions is a
 good idea as well.

 > About the badge, I'm not sure how the badge awarding process will work
(for groups)? Maybe it will be awarded to the current coordinators from
each group? It seems good since it encourages them to join FAS if they
have not. But we need to consider the "handover" from old coordinators to
 new ones.
 >

For badges, we could create a FAS group that would be able to handle this.
I suppose the question is where a "company" or "organization" FAS is the
recommended approach or if we want contributors associated with the entity
(e.g. school system administrators in a Fedora school) to receive the
badge based on their own affiliation as well.

I'm thinking a dedicated "portal" for this might even be a good idea,
either on getfedora.org (which may not be the appropriate place) or
something like affiliates.fedoraproject.org. This would require syncing up
with the Websites team and we should avoid doing that until farther along
in this proposal. But long-term, I'm thinking that's best.

 > Finally, I kinda doubt "Affliates" the most right word in such

This is where part of our discussion in the meeting led to. Here's some of
 the ideas from the meeting.

= Ideas for affiliate program =

 * Having this as a shared responsibility between Marketing and Ambassadors
 might be a good idea.
 * A potential affiliate could get in touch with an Ambassador (or vice
versa) and the Ambassador can come to Marketing with the affiliate
 request.
 * An individual in Marketing / Ambassadors can "sponsor" a request based
on previous relationships (example used in meeting is jflory7 with
Rochester Institute of Technology in NYS (as a student), or similar type
 of idea).

 > Also, can we consider to have a website such like
www.fedoraaffiliates.fp.o (or similar), or do we manage them in hubs? Do
we consider to create a FAS group "affiliates" if doesn't exists yet?
 >

Alternatively to the above suggestion, Hubs may be the ideal place to
 integrate this with.

The process is very simply, I installed the release and the spin in
several VM and took the screenshot.
I only paid attention to have screenshots in the same resolution.
Last time the desktop background changed a bit between the beta and the
final in LXDE or XFCE spin (if I recall correctly), so it make sense wait
until we are sure that the release will happen.

 = Phenomenon =

It's about that time of year! Fedora 24 is just around the corner. For
Fedora 23, the idea came up of having a different kind of release
announcement, adding more "human" parts of the magic happening for each
release into the announcement. mattdm expressed interest in this then, but
due to the time crunch, we didn't have as much time to work on it as we
 liked.

 = Background Analysis =

We need to see how many hands we have available for this task, what kind
of angles we want to approach, and whether we want to do one or two
versions of the announcement (and if two, where the two types end up
 going).

 = Implementation Recommendation =

This will be a good topic for the meeting to decide how we want to shape
this release announcement. We will discuss it in today's meeting and then
also wait for feedback from others who are unable to attend.

In order to have a FOSCo proposal for The Council before the deadline

the seats in the new body.

At the moment FAmSCo is evaluating how FOSCo have to be structured and the

Summarizing the state of the things, cwickert sent a mail in the

my email to the list here to keep it all in an easily referable place. We
can also cover this in today's Marketing meeting.

I think the name is a valid concern. An alternative that immediately comes
to mind is "Friends of Fedora", but I'm not sure if that's too cliché or
if it's been used in the past. It might also make sense to do this to tie
it into our Four Foundations too.

Some other alternative names could be...

 * Partners (maybe the same problem)
 * #FedoraLive (or something similar, insinuating Fedora being "live" in
 the field)
 * #WeAreFedora (taking from #WeAreRedHat a little, empowering people /
 organizations using Fedora)

Just a few ideas. Let me know if any of these sound better!

Comment (by alick):

Hi, sorry for jumping in without following up the previous discussions.

Overall, I am +1 for this idea since it helps identify our user bases in
groups (organizations, schools, companies). It can be more than stats too.
Hopefully it provides incentives to attract new group users and
 facilitates communications between them.

About the drafts, for the Affliates page, I think it'll be good to add
more WIIFM points. For example, to show support for Fedora and FOSS in
general, to make their contributions officially recognized, to learn from
 experiences from peer organizations, etc.

About the badge, I'm not sure how the badge awarding process will work
(for groups)? Maybe it will be awarded to the current coordinators from
each group? It seems good since it encourages them to join FAS if they
have not. But we need to consider the "handover" from old coordinators to
 new ones.

About the information to include, I'd suggest to add an (optional) image
as a showcase/proof. One image is worth a thousand words!

I prefer the approval process is lightweight. Say a wiki page for
submissions, and a few dedicated moderators review them and move the
information to an "official" wiki page. The latter page is thus not be
 edited by others.

Finally, I kinda doubt "Affliates" the most right word in such context...
Is there a better way to say "Non-individual" users?

 Regards,

 Alick

With the recent update that the brochures have been sent off to the

Marketing perspective, we're good to close this ticket out. Thanks all to
everyone who collaborated and provided input on this ticket, your time is
really appreciated! This will mark the beginning of a new Marketing

This feedback missed the deadline to make it for the printer, but I am
going to forward this comment to the [https://fedorahosted.org/design-

correction. These changes won't make it in for this run, but we'll get
 them in for next time.

 Thanks again everyone! Nice work.

Hey so I'm trying to make these changes now and can't:

 - Where is the Fedora Workstation text to add?
 - Theres isnt space to add the stuff about Fedora using Python 3. I
propose cutting a lot of the Fedora stuff on the leftmost panel of the
inside and placing this there. (Basically the three grey blocks that say
fedora strives to -- blah blah. Just kept the first paragraph about
Fedora, then put in the one about Fedoras porting project for python.)
 - I was expecting this to be an obvious change in an existing sentence but
I can't find it so I don't know where this is meantto go. * '''Change''':
"Ansible, OpenStack, and PiTiVi are all built with Python and available in
 Fedora."

Some direction would be great. I would really like to get this finalized
by EOB today so I can prep it for print.

Make sure to add spaces between Python and the version number e.g. Python

Any ideas of how we can relate that in the brochure? I'm a little sparse
for ideas but I agree with what you're saying.

= Modifying brochure in time for PyCon =

We are in a bit of a time crunch for this ticket due to the upcoming PyCon
events across the world, and the time needed to print the brochures. bkp
and I were going to check in with mizmo about the printing status and if
it was too late to add more (just pinged in #fedora-design). I meant to
follow up sooner on this but it slipped my mind.

I think to take out two birds with one stone, it would be easiest to move
the repository to the Marketing Pagure group. Everyone who has access to
the repo now also has access via the Marketing group. It looks like
decause is the repository owner, so I don't know if there is an easy way
to "transfer" a repo from a person to an organization, or if we'd be
 better off forking it.

Comment:

 = Creating the "eventbox" =

Hi Zoltan, sorry it has taken so long for this ticket to receive a
response. Now that we're back on a regimented meeting schedule, hopefully
long delays like this will not happen again, going forward.

I like the idea of having this "eventbox" of resources in a single,
unified place so it is easy for Ambassadors across the world to find the
resources they need, download them, and then print and create everything
they might need. In my own time as an Ambassador in North America, I see a
lot of potential in this and I think there are ways we can combine
existing resources into a single place.

 = Where to discuss =

When this ticket was filed, the [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/CommOps
CommOps] team was not yet a thing. However, now that they are here, I
believe this is a task they could help with. I see this as a community
need in terms of improved communication and distribution across Marketing
 and the Ambassadors.

I've CC'd decause and the CommOps list to this ticket. I'm going to
tentatively close the ticket here, but open a "duplicate" of it on the
CommOps Trac so we can get some increased exposure about this need over
 there.

 Thanks again for filing!

I have set up a Diaspora account for Fedora on the diasp.org pod. We do
need to address the storage of login and password information. I have
stored the password within a Rattic database we use in OSAS for such
information, but we will need to figure out a way to get these "keys"
stored in a way that Fedora community members will be able to access them.

Yes, dnf does support installing by Provides. dnf install python-thingy
 still works.

 = PyCon NA =

[https://us.pycon.org/2016/ PyCon North America] is happening in Portland,
Oregon, from May 28th to June 5th. This is a major Python event just on
the horizon where we will be able to execute some of these marketing
 materials and talking points firsthand.

 = Brochure comments =

decause left some comments about the brochure during and after the meeting
 for some brainstorming.

 == Replacing subtitle text ==

 * '''Subtitle text''': "A love story involving Python and Fedora"
  * Suggestion 1:
   * Line 1: In a Relationship with Python
   * Line 2: Since November 2003
  * Suggestion 2: Together, Forever, since 2003

 == Leading edge ==

There is a double leading edge on inside panel of "Developing Python on
 Fedora".

 == Mission statement ==

 Replacing…

 "Fedora incorporates leading-edge..."

 …with…

"The Fedora Project's mission is to lead the advancement of Free and open
source software and content as a collaborative community."

 = Next up! =

After this, we're going to focus on generating some static talking points
about Fedora in Python, probably somewhere on the wiki of something of
 that nature doesn't already exist.

MicroPython and the BBC micro:bit may be worth mentioning, but I'm not
entirely clear on the current status of those. I've requested more info

Comment (by pfrields):

I had some thoughts on the categories. I like the majority of the
suggestions, but I also believe Ryan as editor in chief will need to make
the final call. Here's my proposal with slight changes:
 * capture CTA posts into Contributor Community
 * subsume HDYF into Interviews (although the series can keep its name in
 titles, just like other series)
 * eliminate comedy posts -- we can't judge how it will come off with all
audiences, and we don't have enough articles for monotony to be an issue,
so this is a solution in search of a problem

 == Proposed Categories, rev. 3 ==
 * '''5 Things in Fedora This Week''' (no change)
 * '''(Fedora) Contributor Community'''
  * Articles about "the happenings" across the Fedora Project that are of
interest to the entire Fedora user community (wider audience than
 CommBlog?)
* Example: ''We're making Fedora more modular''
  * Articles relating to "calls of action" or other types of post about
specific topics from deep inside Fedora
* Example: ''Fedora Marketing is not a spectator sport''
 * '''Events'''
  * Anything pertaining to events or real world happenings with Fedora
(good place for Ambassadors to be engaged too…)
 * '''Hot off the press! / New in Fedora'''
  * Either name, depending on how serious we want to keep things. :)
  * For breaking news about major changes or updates about changes that
 directly impact users
 * '''Interviews'''
  * Distinctly different from How do you Fedora
  * Can contain any type of interview
* Example: ''Creating laser light shows with Fedora''
  * Includes '''How do you Fedora'''
* requires renaming existing category, can be done in the SQL trivially
if not in the WP UI
 * '''Using software'''
  * Slug: /software
  * For how-tos / guides / walkthroughs of using software in Fedora
 * '''Using hardware'''
  * Slug: /hardware
  * For how-tos / guides / walkthroughs of using software with Fedora

I just sat down and took a look through the brochure. I left my comments
 in the [https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/434#comment:9 Design
Team ticket], but since we also requested feedback in this ticket, I will
 also post them here:

 * '''outer: "Learn more at:"'''
  * This should probably be https://getfedora.org/ instead of
http://www.fedoraproject.org. Even though it redirects, it's probably more
accurate to use the domain you are redirected to versus the
fedoraproject.org domain. The QR code may need to be updated too.
 * '''outer: Python questions? Wiki page'''
  * https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Python
  * Linking to the wiki page here might be a good idea too since a lot of
information about how to help / get involved is included here.
 * '''inner: Get Fedora'''
  * The URL used is get.fedoraproject.org. Should probably be
 https://getfedora.org/
 * '''inner: Mentioning DevAssistant'''
  * DevAssistant is a popular tool to help get development workspaces set
up and ready to go, saving time from having to prepare a workspace
environment. Based on feedback received on the list and also at events, I
think making mention of DevAssistant somewhere in the brochure is a good
 idea as well.

 = Review request: Brochure =

Above this comment, bkp attached the latest version of the Python + Fedora
marketing brochure. The content and graphics could hit the printing press
ASAP, but we want some other Python developers and contributors in Fedora
to look this over and verify that everything checks out / makes sense /
isn't going to get Fedora laughed at for a mistake at a conference.
Additionally, if there's any major points you think are missing, feel free
 to let us know!

= Next up: Organizing another porting vFAD? =

The next possible step for this ticket is to organize another vFAD and put
a little marketing effort behind it to see if we can help drum up some
extra support for migrating packages. I will contact the Python SIG
mailing list about this idea soon.

Comment (by zbyszek):

This might be somewhat niche, but for some people it's important, and it
ties nicely into the university outreach program. Fedora has nice support
for the Python scientific stack, including Python 3. A bunch of packages
has been added recently through the NeuroFedora project
 [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1276941], but also some other
things like python-sphinxcontrib-bibtex. Of course there's numpy, scipy,
matplotlib, ipython, vtk, etc, etc. Altogether this forms a pretty
 environment for scientific python work.

We have discussed about it here

https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/comm...@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/7FOPPPWY4J3TGXGJ6B4WI75CDDJJDZCL/

Joe Brockmeier raised few question such as

 1) How are we managing the new accounts?

 2) Who has the "keys" to the account?
 a) We need more than one person, and ideally folks who are
"accountable" to Fedora. (e.g., Matthew Miller, someone on the council,
 etc.)
 3) Do we have a plan for managing them? Who's taking responsibility for
 that.

If you guys need any help with managing, I can help you with the same

I am the creator/maintainer of Fedora Scientific. Python tools and
libraries are actively being used in the scientific community and Fedora
has its own lab product to cater to those in the form of [http://fedora-
 scientific.readthedocs.org/en/latest/python_programming.html Fedora
 Scientific].

I think this would make a nice point for what you are after.

Comment (by churchyard):

As a Python Maint and Python SIG team member and an ambassador I would
 love to participate on this.

 Random thoughts:

  * We also have pypy and pypy3 in Fedora. Remove Jython form the brochure
as it is outdated and maybe nobody works on that.
  * When doing some designing, see also https://github.com/fedora-python
 /fedora-loves-python
  * There is a Python section on http://whatcanidoforfedora.org/
  * See http://fedora.portingdb.xyz/
  * Our infra project use Python, our tools like Anaconda and dnf use
 Python

I was also about to propose some marketing thing with #FedoraLovesPython
hashtag on Twitter etc. (For example on EuroPython, hand over the
sticekrs, ask people to tweet pics of their devices with those stickers
with hashtags #FedoraLovesPython and #EuroPython in order to win some
prices or get a badge or something). Maybe we could use #FedoraLovesPython
 also in the brochure.

 meeting].'''

 = Banner =
 bkp volunteered to update the
 [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Python_brochure Python brochure]
for 2016. The source for the image and the basics are there, but it needs
 some refreshing for 2016.

Once the changes are complete, the revisions will be uploaded to the wiki
and a notification will be sent to the Marketing list so we can begin
printing / distributing this across the channels.

= Marketing ideas and approaches =
We had a few ideas come up for how we can approach marketing to
Pythonistas about why Fedora is awesome to work on Python with!

 * Promote [https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/ Google Summer of Code]
Python projects on the Community Blog, Magazine, and social media
 * Get a conversation started on the list about using Python in containers
and how Fedora is a great place to do this kind of work (bring in some
Pythonistas to the conversation, like Nick Coghlan, Kushal Das, etc.)
 * Talk to the [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Python Python SIG]
about organizing another Python2 => Python3 vFAD to get some awesome work
done and promote how Python3 is a big thing in Fedora

 = Standalone meeting? =
jzb also mentioned the possibility of dedicating an entire meeting time
slot to only this topic. Do we want to make it take over next week's
meeting (or at least leave the first ten minutes for high priority tickets
and the other 50 minutes only for Python)? Or do we want to schedule a new
meeting in a new time slot to try to pull in some Python experts who might
not otherwise be able to attend?

and try to make sure this is something we can get ASAP.

Any watching Server WG members, feel free to chime in with ideas about
major changes in F24 for the Server.
