Now that's a good point, Jim!

When I returned from Eugene, Oregon, in 2008, I ran into several zones
where there was no cell service. My brother in Seattle wondered why I
didn't call him back -- I had to explain there was no cell service.

have something to ease it along.

I had vicodin when I broke my wrist and found that the interesting thing was
that it didn't alleviate the pain all that much, what it did was make me not
care about the pain. It made me not care about much of anything really which is
why I got rid of the pills as soon as the pain went away. Its easy to see why

This has all gotten a lot nicer with OS standardization on iOS and
Android. The phone can tell the computer it is a camera, so all the
automatic camera stuff happens. With Windows you still need drivers
sometimes, OSX is much better about that.

Of course nerds will turn it off and use different disk modes, but the
default sounds like exactly what Andrew wants to happen, so hopefully it
was really easy. :)

On the way of BTDT, I sync my pictures with Flickr, which (at the moment, I
think) has unlimited personal storage. If I think I want to get something,
I just go there rather than the phone. I don't recall whether it does
video though.

My wife and I used CB radios on several coast-to-coast military moves back
in the day (driving 2 cars). I usually just used one of those magnetic roof
(or trunk) temporary mount whip antennas and ran the fire over a thick spot
in the door seal. Even hand-held radios worked OK with a decent antenna. I
never had a need or desire to mount one permanently in a car. These days,
cell phones would do the job in most places for just two vehicles but CB
would be handy for more.

2014-10-08 Thread Ed Booher via Mercedes
Andrew,

Did you find the videos to get them off the phone? Which Android version is
your phone running? On 4.4.2, under Settings -> Storage -> (and now this is
really intuitive so ...) Click the three dots that represent the menu,
there should be an option for "USB computer connection." Make sure it is
set to (MTP) most phones default to (PTP) which is camera mode, so only
show up as a digital camera when plugged in. If you have an earlier version
of Android, then it should still be under Settings -> Storage, but you are
looking for, I think, UMB mode? Some of the earlier version just say "Allow
computer access" or something similar. I've had this version long enough, I
don't remember the specifics on the older modes.

Dilaudid - That's what's in my implanted pump - gets refilled every 2.5

stone attack without having to go to the ER.

There are some powerful meds. out there and unfortunately since I have
been taking them for so long they're not as effective for me. As far as
addiction, I probably am. I was in the hospital for a few days once
and didn't take the oxycodone - I started going into withdrawal but
didn't realize it. My biggest symptom was an extremely strong odor of
Clorox in the room - I even told housekeeping not to change the sheets
cause I feared the freshly cleaned sheets would reek of Clorox. It
didn't help of course and I finally realized what was going on. once I
started taking the Oxycodone again the symptom went away

It was pretty unpleasant but I suspect there are worse symptoms

If you have a wifi OBD reader does that mean you can't connect using a wifi
AP (e.g. a mifi or the like) at the same time? I admit I've never tried to
have two wifi connections at the same time on a phone, seems like it could
work if you had two receivers.

A limitation for Bluetooth readers, at least until recently, is that the BT
scanner can only connect to one client at a time. Now there is a free
Torque add-on that lets you daisy-chain connections, so you can have
multiple clients (e.g. a phone in the dash, and a tablet that you are using
for doing something else), but I think that only works with Torque. I am
assuming that the WiFi readers never had this limitation, and you could
connect multiple clients to a single reader.

A Bluetooth reader should not hog power, if the connection is lost (e.g.
distance) then the app shuts down until the connection is re-established by
the OS.

What is the "common" name for hydrocodone ? Is it Percocet??

First, descriptions of the base medicines:

OxycodoneDerived from the highly addictive narcotic drug opium, it
  is a semi-synthetic opioid synthesized from poppy-derived
thebaine. It is a narcotic analgesic generally indicated
for relief of moderate to severe pain. It was developed in
1916 in Germany as one of several new semi-synthetic
opioids in an attempt to improve on the existing opioids.

Oxycodone in its ordinary form is a fast-acting pain reliever
that is used to treat breakthrough pain -- that is, pain so
severe the sufferer needs immediate relief. Oxycodone affects
the way the receptors in the brain experience pain.

OxycontinOxycontin is derived from Oxycodone and is mixed with other
ingredients to create a sustained release effect. Taken on a
continued basis every 12 or 24 hours.

Both medications are highly addictive but Oxycodone is more
addictive and should never be taken with alcohol or in any
dose exceeding the one prescribed by your doctor.

Hydrocodone Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain-reliever and a cough
suppressant, similar to codeine. Hydrocodone relieves
pain by changing the way the brain and nervous system
  respond to pain.

Hydrocodone is available only in combination with other
ingredients, and different combination products are
prescribed for different uses. Some hydrocodone products
are used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Other
hydrocodone products are used to relieve cough.
Hydrocodone is in a class of medications called opiate
(narcotic) analgesics and in a class of medications called
antitussives. Hydrocodone relieves cough by decreasing
activity in the part of the brain that causes coughing.

Hydrocodone is lower strength than oxycodone/oxycontin.

Now the drugs as available:

   Generic Name Brand Names

oxycodone and acetaminophen Percocet

hydrocodone/acetaminophen Vicodin, Vicodin ES, Vicodin HP, Anexsia,
Lortab, Lorcet, Lorcet Plus, Norco, Zydone

While Percocet is used to treat moderate to severe short-term pain,
Vicodin can also be prescribed for chronic pain or to control
extreme cough. They are both narcotic pain killers with a risk of
dependency and abuse and are not available over the counter.

APAP is an abbreviation of the chemical name N-acetyl-p-aminophenol,
which is also known as paracetamol or acetaminophen.

After my neck surgery, I was on a morphine-derivative drip (the
particular medicine was 12 - 16 times stronger than morphine, but I don't
remember the name) for 3 or 4 days. Then I was transitioned to oxycontin
(sustained release) every 12 hours and oxycodone every 4 hours as needed.
That continued after I was released and came home. I was then gradually
changed to hydrocodone/acetaminophen and then to acetaminophen by itself.

The narcotics (oxycodone and hydrocodone) caused me such severe
constipation that I REALLY wanted to get off them.

Perhaps more than you wanted to know, but since I have had personal
experience with all of them ...

Percocet is Oxycodone usually mixed with tylanol as is 10/325 - 10mg
oxycodone and 325 mg acetaminophen. I've been taking it for 15 years

cause liver problems when taken long term.

A:
Only if you have a leak and your system is empty. Then you will need to pull a
