Re: [MBZ] 123 300D Engine/Trans into a 116 300SD

2015-09-29 Thread Dan Penoff via Mercedes
To do this as a complete drivetrain swap would certainly be the easiest and
most painless way to go about it.

You do a test fit to check on the major items like mounting points and for
clearances, get those sorted, then in the whole thing goes. Once it's all in
place and bolted up, you start sorting the details.

That's considering that you swap whatever over that you need between the test
fit and final install.

Oil eater takes some time to actually eat the stuff. I found it best as a
solvent for cleaning engines or other mucked up bits. On the ground it does
not really act swiftly. It will consume and loosen grease/oil. Then, dish
soap does that as well. I used metal bristle brush to loosen the gunk on the
cement. Hosed it down until the surface shmutz was off. Stain remained. Coke
poured on the stain and sunlight over a few weeks made it go away

Anita Singleton-Prather stars in "Circle Unbroken," a film about Gullah
culture. (Anchor Media Group/Provided).

A film produced in the Lowcountry about the origins of Gullah culture in
South Carolina was recently picked up by PBS stations nationwide.

“Circle Unbroken: A Gullah Journey from Africa to America” is a part
musical, part documentary film produced by Ron Small. He co-wrote the
script with Anita Singleton-Prather, a folk storyteller known along the
South Carolina coast for her educational performances about Gullah
history. Singleton-Prather and her troupe of performers, the Gullah
Kinfolk, star in the film.

The National Educational Telecommunications Association selected the
film for distribution on PBS stations, and each of those channels will
individually make decisions about when it will be aired.

SCETV, the statewide PBS affiliate, has already scheduled a premiere
broadcast at 7 p.m. Oct. 5.

“ETV has always had a soft spot for Anita Singleton-Prather, (our star)
and the work she’s done to promote the Gullah culture, so they asked to
be our ‘presenting station,’ which gives us more clout in the national
arena and allies us with a powerful force in broadcasting,” Small
explained in an email.

“Further, the broadcast license is 3 years so each station can show it
as many times as they like. Hence, we expect a huge cross-section of PBS
stations across the country to broadcast the show numerous times,” he
added.

That would be a 220SEb Coupe. There was no such thing as a 220Seb/c made.

The car is a 220 SE, the lower case b was added on paper only (never
on the trunk) to distinguish the 111 from the Ponton 220SE. Like
the /8 was nowhere except on paper.
