The President "could" impose Martial Law upon every sanctuary city, county,
state & municipality and arrest all officials & employees in them, for
violating Federal Law shown in detail here. https://www.law.cornell.

Sure to cause great wailing and gnashing of teeth among the privileged and

.22 rifle is a growing varsity sport in the US, after a few decades
when it had just about died out.

But it's still virtually impossible to have firearms in your locker or
even in the parking lot without being made into a felon. I remember
one kid whose mom saw a safety video about carrying a seatbelt cutter
in the car, she put knives in the consoles of all the family cars and
he got a felony charge of having a weapon in a parking lot.

High school trapshooting is more popular than rifle competition, I'm
wondering how long it will take to surpass tennis.

Re: [MBZ] ranges

2017-12-11 Thread Buggered Benzmail via Mercedes
I think I shared this before but here it is again. In high school the coach/gym
teacher had a daughter who was in my class. She was kinda cute. He was this
polish guy who was built like a fire plug and was about as tough. He took NO
sh..tuff.

His daughter shot on the rifle team. They had a range under the stand in the
gym. Turns out she was really good and won state title.

So that family was a twofer — Daddy could seriously kick your ass and the
daughter could shoot your ass. I don’t think she ever had a date with any guy
in the school.

We have several sporting clay teams at our local high schools that both
practice and compete at the range I belong to. I shot on a competitive air
rifle team in high school, too. Nothing like that now that I know of, at least
not around here.

I think shooting sports for youngsters is a great idea. Like any sport, it
takes commitment, practice, and in the case of shooting sports, a serious
commitment to safety and education. These are not kids who will be out on the

.22 rifle is a growing varsity sport in the US, after a few decades when it had
just about died out.

But it's still virtually impossible to have firearms in your locker or even in

[MBZ] ranges

2017-12-11 Thread Randy Bennell via Mercedes
Believe it or not, when I was in high school, there was a rifle range in
the basement under the gym and one could belong to a club that used it.
I think probably the Scouts used it too. Cannot imagine that now. If one
took a rifle to school and put it in their locker, they would call the
swat team. Amazing how things can change in only a generation or a bit
more. My 2 sons are beyond high school but my only grand daughter is
under a year in age so really only one generation since I was in that
school.

The one end wall of the room was full of 4 X 4's stacked solidly with
the end facing outward. I don't know how deep they were. If I ever knew,
I have forgotten. I don't think they allowed anything except 22 and
maybe pellet guns. This is in Canada so no hand guns.

It goes in cycles. A Facebook group I'm on recently had a discussion of the
Springfield "Trapdoor" rifles which when I was a lad could be had for cheap
that are now getting into the $700-$800 range for decent examples. The ones
with a story "Owned rifles" can go for very big money.
Remember these are pre-1900 rifles, they were 100 years old or more when I was
born...

Wow, thats certainly substantial research.
He's using a 7.62x39 which is a much smaller, less powerful round than a 30.06
although I suppose you could load down. I'm not saying traps couldn't be made
its just difficult.
Where are you doing this? Not somewhere around the airfield I'd guess.
