Re: [MBZ] Going home today

How do you prevent recurrence? Warfarin (rat poison) is tricky and requires
monitoring and diet control. SWMBO switched to Pradaxa which costs more but
does not require frequent monitoring or diet restrictions. Pradaxa has
similar competitors now, so may get cheaper.

I should be released from the hospital today. Dr showed me my CT and the
clots were very severe. Said if I had waited another hour before coming in I
probably would have dropped dead.

Re: [MBZ] OT Leah Remini

2020-11-15 Thread Buggered Benzmail via Mercedes
It’s completely crazy. I can see how people can get sucked into it, there are a
lot of people out there who have needs I guess. The money aspect is wild.

My former wife told me that before I knew her, she was living in Boston a few
doors down from where the CoS had a building. They were always out trolling for
people, inviting them in for a meal and lecture. Being a college student or
shortly after, no money, she did that, free meal hey why not. After a few hours
(once in, you stayed) she tried to leave and they wouldn’t let her, doors were
locked (Fire code???). After some tussle and creating A Scene she finally got
them to let her out. Scared the hell out of her. Wild stuff.

I worked with this guy who had some occasional interaction with L Ron. He told
me that he had discussed this Scientology thing with LRon, who said the whole
thing was this giant hack he kinda did as some sci fi kind of mental exercise
(LRon wrote a lot of kitschy sci-fi novels, nothing very good but sorta
entertaining) just to see if he could get people to do it, invent some sort of
religion, and it really surprised him when it took off for real. I guess LRon
decided to roll with it, kinda live in this fantasy he created.

Re: [MBZ] OT: A Life Lesson

2020-11-15 Thread Clay Monroe via Mercedes
SWMBA is a lawyer. She does not seem very enriched to herself, as she claims
being deprived of man bits leads to less enriching. She seems more enriched
than I am. I think her agitating for more enrichment of diverse populations of
ambulance chasers could lead to enrichments at a much later date. It is not at
all a source of current or mid-term enriching.

There are a vast cadre of lawyer pursuing “justice” who will not see any
enrichment unless they switch to representing people/corporations with large
hordes of enriched funds. I think the justice league are in it for brownie
points and to feel self smug that all that hard work is leaving them living in
poverty and consuming nutrients that food eats.

I used to do it all the time when I delivered pizza in my younger

I had a key on a lanyard and ran my belt through it so I could not lose

She did two seasons of it and really ragged on them big time. They’ve got it
out for her like you can’t imagine.

They’re right over in Clearwater and have pretty much killed the city. They own
most of the property downtown and don’t do anything with it because they got
pissed at the city a few years ago when the city wouldn’t sell them a piece of
land they wanted. Their followers set up all sorts of shell corporations and
have been systematically buying up all the real estate.

It’s creepy. If you venture downtown all you see are their creepy converts
walking around in their black pants, white shirts and vests. They look like
zombies.

If you’ve got the time go to the St. Pete Times web site and read everything
they’ve written on them. Leah’s not kidding.

This is a really good article on how they’ve bought up all the real estate
downtown:

I answer that whole section with "I feel fine and am not a danger to myself or

Nope. Not answering those questions. And back out the ones you started with,

I stood over her at the computer for a minute and watched her remove my
responses to the first question she had asked. No different than the, “Do you
have any firearms in your house?” question they used to ask. “I don’t know, do
you?” After that response my internist must have redlined that question as I've
never gotten it again.

The office I go to has been on electronic records for about 15 years now. I
hadn't been in for a long time so the last time I went they did a full review
of medications. The had me listed as "Currently Taking" every drug they had
ever prescribed for me. That included 5(!) different blood pressure, 2
different cholesterol, and the same blood thinner but twice. They also thought
I was taking MASSIVE doses of vicodin every day because I'd been prescribed it
when I broke my wrist and then had re-upped that prescription.

Nobody seemed to question that I would be taking all those drugs. I gave the
doc a really hard time about it, "Wouldn't I be dead? Wouldn't that cause your

I drove one of those when I did the track day at the BMW plant some
years ago.  It was kinda small but surprisingly roomy inside for my 6'4"
container.  Good performance too.  Seems like you could find a cheaper
Cheep Class though, I see those things all over CL and FB.

In my limited experience (two dead blower motors) one died after the car

so I'm not sure what symptoms (if any) were exhibited when it died.

Plain probate. Wills, durable power of attorneys, etc., etc. There’s far more
to it, but in general it’s what most people need for it to be done right. And
that’s for a couple (two people.) He does a complete review of assets and how
they’re held, gets all the familia details down, inventory of property, etc.,
etc. It’s pretty thorough.

A trust is about twice that much or more depending on how complicated it will
be.

I don’t know how competitive the costs are compared to other attorneys - our
guy is both a probate and tax attorney, which is why we chose him. I suspect if
you do it with someone who practices only in probate it might be a little
cheaper, but in the long run, who cares if you want to be sure things are right?
