[MBZ] Fakebook
There is a kid on various fakebook groups who supposedly has some sort of business making hood stacks for morons who want to cut a hole in their hood. I think he also sells used parts. Lems or something like that. I noticed a post on some group about parting out a 240D. Pics looked like the car was fairly straight and rust free, looked decent. I asked him why it was being parted out, here is his response: "Just too many little issues to make it worth the while. I also really want to tear an entire car down and learn about everything. I also need parts for my 81 240D with a manual trans and good running 616. It needs a fender, door, seats, misc trim and a few more." He can't find a rusty or wrecked car to tear down to "learn about everything"? ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Interesting ... How many timing chains have been replaced? Have you measured the chain stretch? Marshall said that the synthetic drastically reduced the rate of chain wear and that it was measurable. Well, I hate to even chime in here, but... I know some of you are purist, but my 1983 300D with over 360,000 miles and still the same compressor from 20 years ago, has run R12, Freeze12, DuraCool, R134a, and something else. The oil has been mixed. It will still cool if topped off and stop the heater valve from overcoming the cool air. So, no it is not recommended to mix but it will work. My car is proof. It also has only run Dino 15x40 Mobil, no synthetic. Best Wishes and Happy 4th, Roger Roger Hale Dinnerware Classics, Inc. True, but in the case of my car search of late what I don’t understand is how many dealers I see selling on it as opposed to private sellers. It’s weird, the ratio for the cars I’ve searched on is about 10 to 1 in favor of dealers. And a bunch of the listings that appear to be private sellers are just individuals with dealer's licenses. Re: [MBZ] Fakebook
Personally, I have no use for Facebook; I would like to see them go broke.. But my church started using Facebook to livestream Sunday services during COVID so I needed an account. Facebook refused to create my account until I used my cell number for a username. Never could get it to work using a typical alphanumeric username. If I had the upload bandwidth I would host these myself (we typically have at least 20 folks watching live). I do host replays. -Original Message- From: Mercedes On Behalf Of Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes Sent: Wednesday, July 1, 2020 1:23 PM To: Mercedes Discussion List Cc: Kaleb Striplin Subject: Re: [MBZ] Fakebook This is just a marketplace ad, not in a group. This is just a marketplace ad, not in a group. I’m going to be listing a car later today will see if it works. I really need to get this house listed. Sounds like when I list something in the local Marketplace and it flags the ad for something “bad” in one of the two groups I post in. I’ve yet to figure what it is that keeps it from one group and not the other. You appeal or ask for a review it it never seems to happen. Good luck. -D > On Jul 1, 2020, at 1:05 PM, Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes > wrote: > > What the heck is wrong with Fakebook?
