Shoot the door hardware off with high powered ammunition that you keep on hand.
The door will collapse and you can drag it out of the way in pieces.

Unbolt the rollers from the track, and the hinge bolts along the contact at
each section. Start at the top section, Do the hinge bolts first, remove
the line of hinges, then release the rollers.. should be two nuts on each
hinge and two bolts on each roller at the end of the door section.

Only remove the top bolts of the hinges.. the hinge will help hold the
section in place while you release the rollers.. then one person can lift
the section down. [would be handy with a helper... but one guy can do it
easy].

Repeat with each section, adjust the disassembly as needed to accommodate
the bent door.. Should take about 30 minutes with a couple wrenches.
Ratchet and socket.. faster.

NEXRAD radar site) and he checked the closest ground station data he could
find, which was Leesburg, FL. The ground station only samples every three
hours, and the heavy precipitation interrupted the satellite uplink early in

Considering that these guys are running on empty after a couple of days on a

Where I am we got maybe cat 1. Not much to speak of other then
the couple of trees that impacted us a bit. Took out the electric
line at the house which didn't matter as the power went out a
couple of hours before and very minor damage to the edge of the
roof in one spot. Will be running the generator on and off for
the next week or more which is a pain but it could have been
worse. It's all good for us.

It was mostly right on the west shore but as wide as it was it

trailer park wasn't on a lake and didn't get hit by a tornado
generated by the hurricane it shouldn't be too bad. If he knows
someone there the best thing is to call and get the info from the
horses mouth so to speak.

Rain starting to pick up here along with some wind and occasional gusts,
but nothing too severe yet.  Seems like the forecast is less intense
than from yesterday, so that is good.  Depending on what things look
like I might try to get down to the beach at high tide to see how high
it is and what the surf looks like.  I have been involved in a lawsuit
regarding development on the beach and we are hoping it gets a good
rinse to demonstrate how futile it would be to build out there!  I went
out on the bike yesterday and got about 250 "baseline" pics so will get
some "afters" too.

Power still OK, I hope nothing hits the line coming down the driveway
and knocks me off.

Power still up so that is good, the dogs are totally ferklempt. Last
night I put them out about 9 and they were going insane barking at
something.  I got out to look and there was a white dove sitting on the
porch roof that was making them crazy.  The bird was just sitting there,
rain was starting a bit. Weird.  i wonder if it was one of those birds
raised to be released at events and was too stupid to know what to do,
or it got blown here from somewhere.

Sort of. Being near the edge of the red Hurricane zone implies that Lady Lake
to Manfred's area got Cat1-2 at worst?
I wonder if Travolta moved his Boeing out of state for the weekend?
Wouldn't be good to get up in the morning and find an upside down 707 in your
front yard.

You are really living right. Our power went out around 10:30 last
night. Then about two hours later one of the trees fell across
the power line and pulled it out of the connections at the house.
Probably won't have power for more then a week. The individual
house power connections are at the bottom of the list. Other then
that not much else other then a lot of cleanup to do.

Thanks!

Yeah, that’s not my mayor (I live in unincorporated Hillsborough County, not
the City of Tampa.) Bob’s a good guy - I eat lunch with him every once in a
while as I work a block away from his office. His job sucks, as no matter what
he does if there’s much in the way of water the whole downtown gets flooded.

Our headquarters and network core are in a 28 story building downtown. With
the expectation that power will be shut down, we shifted everything to our
“hot” DR site on Saturday. All of my systems were powered down in an orderly
fashion Sunday morning and power removed from the building. As soon as we get
the all clear from the utility company and power is restored we’ll start
bringing everything back up.

And then the disaster recovery debrief starts and we have lots of work to do…

night. He sounded pretty confident that the city was prepared for the worst the
storm could dish out. You personally were prepared well too.

We can all take a lesson from that.

Yeah, I think you can take the “mostly” out of that. We escaped it, for sure.
I’ve seen more damage around my neighborhood from strong summer thunderstorms.

Thank you.
