The SEA home is now in the flight path of a bunch of planes.  When built in 
1926, the place might have been impacted by the Navy base over the hill with 
their flights, many that ended up in the lake instead of runway.  Base left 
about 50 years ago, so that did not impact.  There are float planes that go 
over from their base to downtown every morning and evening, not that 
bothersome.  The adjusting of the flight path to SeaTac did cause an increase 
of noise.  But the engineering of engines has decreased it.  The folks who used 
to live right alongside the airport raised a fuss and that caused the paths to 
be changed so lots more folks got the enjoy jet noise.

ANC house is a few blocks from the runway and there is one that has the cargo 
747 go by right outside the window.  I hear the darn things spooling up at 0300 
(but they make noise all through the night.  There are a number of speedy homes 
that share my joy.  Not to mention the waterfront homes on the lake with their 
float planes buzzing like flies all summer and sometimes even swapping out skis 
so they can operate in winter as well.

I am not a flight aficionado, but thems are the breaks.   As more people want 
homes, more places that are not conducive to living beside them will be built 
up.

In Indianapolis they bought up loads of land around the airport years ago and 
populated it with industrial space, mainly large distribution warehouses. Now 
there’s nothing remotely close to the airport in the way of dwellings with a 
few random exceptions of people who refused to sell out. They also covered 
large areas of what used to be farmland with solar farms, too.

There are still some areas that are populated east of the airport where 
development had already been present some time before, but they try to limit 
air traffic on the runways that affect them.

Tampa’s airport is already surrounded by houses, and they’re not going away. 
There’s an area on the bay that is old money that faces the approach for one of 
the primary runways. The rich people bitch about it, but the airport brings in 
so much money that the County pretty well ignores them.

Should be the same amount of space, though the 560's seats have
side bolsters that could be an issue.  There's more legroom in a
450SL on the passenger side.

The model seems to have no rhyme or reason for prices.  The 560 does tend to be 
priced higher due to age, but condition determines value in the balance.  I 
experienced a trashed 380sl at auction selling for $7500.  A mess of a car that 
sold for more than the drop top w124.
