calculation and found a figure of some 47 mpg. I'm guessing a good day, and appropriate he/she fillups on both ends. Question: Can an odometer that is about to go bad actually clock more miles than it should? Not usually, though a dial could in theory stick and roll two spots (or more) instead of one. But the trip odometer wouldn't track the cumulative one in that case. I use the TO almost exclusively to track fuel mileage, but I write down both numbers in the log. Re: [MBZ] Our 190D 5 cyl Auto gets 40 mpg
I got 31mpg (actually I think it was like 31.6, so almost 32) from my 240D once. I'm sure that if I took it on a long highway trip and could make myself keep the speed to say 60mph (would need working cruise) I could get 35. That'd require one of those brutal trips stopping only for fuel and peeing in a bottle while driving... ;) -Curt --- On Fri, 10/31/08, Loren Faeth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Loren Faeth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Our 190D 5 cyl Auto gets 40 mpg To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], "Mercedes Discussion List" Date: Friday, October 31, 2008, 2:38 PM Our escort Diesel WOULD get 50 MPG on trips.
