I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The W210s are amazingly dull, boring cars. However, they are very reliable and inexpensive to own and operate. They’re a great “gas and go” car, period. Indeed could be a good deal. There are lots of folks around here that buy nice cars then never use them, or only go out in nice weather. Buy one south of the Mason-Dixon Line and you’ll have a really nice car. Both of mine are very reliable and inexpensive to maintain. If anything happens to either one I’ll look for another to replace it. Huh, I could have sworn I'd read somewhere that there was a so-called secret warranty on the spring perches, and if you took your W210 in to the dealer you could get them to replace bad ones no matter how old (perhaps under threat that you would go over their heads to MBNA or the DOT...). Good to know if they won't do so, though, since that would be an expensive job, correct? Lots of welding, combined with RR of body parts before and after?
