Re: Again: No mail notification sound in NS 6.2 :-(
Doesn't the winxp have a program where you can revert your directory to an earlier time? If it does just revert back to the time before you fixed the sound. NS 6.2: starting with special working dir
Hello. I am thinking about putting Netscape 6.2 in a lab of Windows 98 machines. Students using this lab log in and have a personal network share on a samba server mapped to drive F. What I would like to be able to do is have the students evoke Netscape in such a way that it opens with the mail window and all of their settings/messages are saved to the network F drive. 1. Is it as simple as modifying a Windows shortcut so that the binary is called with -mail and the working directory is set to F:\netscape? 2. Which files would I need to put in f:\netscape to provide an initial skeleton for students, to which they would add their personal settings? Long ago I worked at a place that did this with NS 4, but they were also able doing some of the magic with Novell login scripts. Thanks in advance, --chris
