WMQI v2.1 CSD5 ghost flow

2004-11-24 Thread Erik Klemetti
Hi all,
I have a problem with WMQI flow that has been deleted, but still picks up
messages from a queue.
This flow had been deleted so we could not find it anywhere to stop this
from happening.
So we made a dummy flow with the same name to overwrite the ghostflow.
But the old flow still exists somewhere and it is picking up messages and
putting them in the "old" queues and I just dont know how to get to it.
Any ideas or tips on how to fix this is highly welcome.
The box is w2k server, MQ5.3 CSD4, WMQI 2.1 csd5. DB2 7.2 fixpack8
Best regards
Erik

Re: MSCS Cluster failover problem with MQ5.3

2004-04-15 Thread Erik Klemetti
Erik Klemetti
Hi all,
Thanks for all the responses,
This is not a "Real" problem since the failover works.
But I was concerned when failing over didn't stop the MQSeries Service as I
expected,
because this could be a sign of some not to obvious problem that I migth
encounter down
the line.
Anyway I have recived several answers saying that this is happening to a lot
of folks and
there is no problem.
Best regards
Erik

Hi Erik,

I only have MQ 5.2 running on the MSCS cluster, not 5.3. So may be there
are
some differences. However, I don't understand why you concern about the
MQSeries services running on the failing node. Is there a problem?
When MSCS cluster vary off the qmgr from the failing node and bring up the
qmgr from the standby node, the MQ services are always running and both
nodes and it won't be brought down. So in my case I have 1 active and 1
passive node and the MQ services are running on both nodes all the time.
Only the qmgr is running on 1 node. This is the same when you have a
standalone PC installed with MQ. If you don't have qmgr running, you still
have the MQ services running during start up. In my case, I have 3
processes
running, amqsvc (MQ services process), amqmsrvn (DCOM) and amqmtbrn (task
bar icon for MQ services) when no qmgr is up.
BTW, I got the description of the processes from a spreadsheet I received
from the list last year. I remembered it was prepared by Peter but not
sure. I can send you that if you want but I am not sure mine is the latest
or not.

Subject: MSCS Cluster failover problem with MQ5.3
Hi all,
I have installed mq5.3 csd4 and WMQI2.1 csd5 on a mscs cluster.
everything is working fine except when I failover to the other node the IBM
MQSeries Service does not stop on the node I am failing over from.
I suspected that there migth be a timing issue becuase of the WMQi broker
not being shut down
completly before stopping the mqseries service. But this is not the case.
There are 2 mqseries processes still running after the failover, amqsvc and
amqmsrvn.
I am having a problem finding a descritpion these processes.
I have been looking through the manuals for mqseries and I just can't find
a
description of these processes.
On the web I have found a lot of problems with these processes but no
description.
I can manually stop the mqseries service and it works fine, but I need this
to be automatic when there is a failover.
Anyone out there who have experienced a similar thing or have an idea how
to
solve this.
And if someone have an idea where I could find the descriptions to these
process it would be appriciated.
Best regards
Erik

CCSID problem in mscs clustered environment

2004-04-03 Thread Erik Klemetti
Hi all,
I installing a mscs Cluster with
w2k adv server
MQ5.3 csd 4
WMQI 2.1 csd 5
DB2 7.2
I am using the ih03 support pack to do the testing, and using the
rfhutil.exe to check the messages.
In Node1 all is working just fine and test messages sent passes through
and are stopped at xmitq.
These messages all have code page 1252 in the mqmd tab when I browse the
messages.
In node 2 all messages fail. All messages goes to a error queue.
And when I look at the code page the all have 437 as value.
I did a alter qmgr ccsid(1252) after installing the queuemanager
(in node 1)
But it seems like node 2 is not picking up the change...
I have failed over and rebooted both machines.
I checked node 2, did the dis qmgr and the ccsid IS 1252
but I still get the same fault: all failing messages comes from node 2
and all failing messages have code page 437.
I have tried to do the alter qmgr ccsid(1252) in node 2 but the result is
still the same.
Does anyone have a clue how to fix this or atleast point me in some
direction?
Please advice

BIP406 getting different behaviour in a mscs cluster

2004-04-02 Thread Erik Klemetti
Hi all,
I have configured a mscs cluster on w2k adv.server.
With MQSeries 5.3 csd4
Mqsi 2.1 csd5
db2 7.2
While testing I get a error on node 2. I get a BIP406

FROMCORE OUTDEL.INPUT VALUES

BIP406E

But since it a cluster the test message also goes through Node1 and there
everything is just fine.
And I dont understand how this could happen, the queuemanager is the same in
both cases.
All the messageflows in mqsi are the same.
And I still get this message..
Please advice

MSCS cluster with mq5.3 mqsi2.1 and db2 7.2 Problem with db2mscs command

2004-03-29 Thread Erik Klemetti
Hi all,
We are installing a cluster on w2k adv servers.
Installation and testing of mqseries is ok.
DB2 installed OK.
DB2icrt command worked fine..
But we are bugged down with the db2mscs command that wont run as expected.
The rc = 126 and it says it cant find message file.
Now we have created the DB2MSCS.CFG file and it seems to be OK.
We have placed it so it should not be a problem finding it.
but problem persists...

Has anyone seen this before?
We are begining to suspect that the "message file" is not the DB2MSCS.CFG
but something else..
I know that this is more a db2 question then a mqseries one..but if there is
someone out there who have had the same problem..please adivse.

Hi all,

I need some help with connecting MQexplorer (w2k)MQSeries5.2.1 to a
Queuemanager on AIX (4.3.3) MQSeries5.2.

I saw a discussion about this earlier but by accident I have deleted the
email.

I have this working on another queuemanager in this way, but I can't redo
it
because I lost the note.
I have been looking in the manuals and applied something similar to the
note
  : setmqaut -m FMCQM -t qmgr -g fmcgrp +connect + all

But there is still something missing....

Please advice

AIX HACMP configuration doing cyclic failover

2002-11-01 Thread Erik Klemetti
Hi all,
I have another GREAT problem.
The env. 2x AIX4.3.3 machines working in cluster HACMP.
with MQSeries5.2, mqsi2.1, workflow3.3.2 and db2 7.2.
The problem: Queuemanager wont start -> failover-> qmgr wont start
 <- failover<-
   .
   .
   .
the configuration is ping-ponging back and forth..

I'm trying to find out why the queuemanager wont start...
The error codes are AMQ6004, 6119 and 6183.

Anyone have a clue?

Please advice

Installation Info..MQSeries5.2.1 on W2k (server raid cluster)

2002-10-22 Thread Erik Klemetti
Hi all,

I'm trying to find installation information about how to install MQSeries
5.2.1 On W2k
in two machines working in cluster (Server Raid) with failover capability.

I have been searching
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/library/manualsa/index.html
and cant find what I am looking for...or probably missed the info while
searching.

Anyone got a hint where this info is to be found?

Please advice
Erik

Problem with MQSI2.1 db2 7.2 insert in table ...

2002-10-10 Thread Erik Klemetti

Hi all,
I have a problem with MQSI 2.1 running on AIX 4.3.3 and db2 7.2
When we put messages on the mqsi and a db2 table there is a block.
It is like there is a LOCK TABLE IN EXCLUSIVE MODE. This is a random
occurenceand we can not se any patterns in messages accepted and messages
blocked.

We are really stumbed on this one and if anyone has the sligthest hint of a
solution, it will be greatly appreciated

Please Advice
Erik

XAResourceManager failing.

2002-09-30 Thread Erik Klemetti

Hi all,
I have a tricky problem with a XAResourceManager running on Oracle8.
Env. SunSolaris, MQ5.2.
Friday nigth one of our servers was shut down and when trying to start the
Qmanager on the server it didn't start with the following error text.

$ strmqm QMTEST
AMQ7626: XA resource manager initialization failure. Refer to the error log
for
more information.

I checked the qm.ini file and the XAResourceManager initiation..

XAResourceManager:
  Name=Oracle BPD1ADM
  SwitchFile=/opt/mqm/mwas/xatm/ora8swit

XAOpenString=Oracle_XA+Acc=P/arbor/arbtest+SesTm=35+LogDir=/tmp/ora.log+DB=BPD1ADM/

Which looked OK to me, I have a very limited experience of oracle and
XAResourceManager.

And the error log states:
---
09/30/02 05:14:20 PM
AMQ6175: The system could not dynamically load the library
/opt/mqm/mwas/xatm/ora8swit. The error message was ld.so.1: amqzxma0: fatal:
libucb.so.1: open failed: No such file or directory. The Queue Manager will
continue without this module.

EXPLANATION:
This message applies to Sun Solaris systems. The dynamically loadable file
/opt/mqm/mwas/xatm/ora8swit failed to load correctly due to an internal
error.
and the MQSeries error recording routine has been called.
ACTION:
Check that the file has not been corrupted then use the standard facilities
supplied with your system to record the problem identifier, and to save the
generated output files. Contact your IBM support center. Do not discard
these
files until the problem has been resolved.
---
09/30/02 05:14:20 PM
AMQ7622: MQSeries could not load the XA switch load file for resource
manager
'Oracle BPD1ADM'.

EXPLANATION:
An error has occurred loading XA switch file /opt/mqm/mwas/xatm/ora8swit. If
the error occurred during startup then the queue manager will terminate. At
all
other times the queue manager will continue without this resource manager
meaning that it will no longer be able to participate in global
transactions.
The queue manager will also retry the load of the switch file at regular
intervals so that the resource manager will be able to participate again
should
the load problem be resolved.
ACTION:
Look for a previous message outlining the reason for the load failure.
Message
AMQ6175 is issued if the load failed because of a system error. If this is
the
case then follow the guidance given in message AMQ6175 to resolve the
problem.
In the absence of prior messages or FFST information related to this problem
check that the name of the switch load file is correct and that it is
present
in a directory from which it can be dynamically loaded by the queue manager.
The easiest method of doing this is to define the switch load file as a
fully-qualified name. Note that if the queue manager is still running it
will
need to be restarted in order that any changes made to its configuration
data
can be picked up.

We recreated the ora8swit file but the Qmanager still wont start...

Anyone have an idea what migth be causing all this??

Please Advice
Erik

Re: AIX runmqlsr problem

2002-09-04 Thread Erik Klemetti

Hi Warren,

Result from /etc/services

fmclFMCQM5010 5010/tcp # MQSeries Workflow Listener for Queue Manager

Result from netstat -a

tcp4 0 0 *.fmclFMCQ *.* LISTEN

This is becoming a bit confusing, it seems like there is something listening
BUT I can't se it when I type ps -ef | grep runmqlsr.
It seems to be the FMCQM listner but I can't se on which port..

Utterly confused..

Please advice
Erik

AIX runmqlsr problem

2002-09-04 Thread Erik Klemetti

Hi all,

I have a problem with starting a listner and can't figure out why.
Probably just a tinny thing that I have forgotten.

I have the same config in my testing environment and the everything runs
just fine.

Env.
AIX, MQS 5.2, DB2 7.2, WMQSI2.1, WF3.3.2
I trying to start the listner for the WF.

  runmqlsr -t tcp -p 5010 -m FMCQM &

and after a while it comes back with..

AMQ9218: The TCP/IP listener program could not bind to port number 5010.

I have tried to find out where it goes wrong but haven't found anything.
If anyone could give me aatleast a hint in the rigth direction it would be
greatly appriciated.

/Erik
