Yep, this is exactly what happens, and I agree with you it's very frustrating. :) Another frustrating thing that happens is that the new-mail indicator doesn't work on that box even if it actually contains new massages. :-( Johan

This explains that other thing that has been bugging me with sometimes not getting the N flag although there actually are new mails in that box. I'm going to try that macro out, although some kind of fix would be nice since this behavour is not very logical. TSM Tivoli Storage Manager The backup system we use. Read in the manual that this could be the problem, but now the admin says that it's not and mutt is compiled the right way on the system. So I'm confused again. I don't have anything like biff touching the files (I think)... Johan

$check-new
Hi, all. I'm using 'mutt -y' alot to monitor my mailboxes, and I have this to be able to see where I have new mail: bind browser $ check-new Although I'm experienceing some "buggy" behaivor by mutt. Sometimes (I can't see a pattern) it doesn't give the mailbox the "N" flag marking new mails, although there really are new mails in that box because I can see the filesize of the mailbox change and when I enter it there are new mails in it. In-Reply-To colors
Hi, everybody. I'm sitting here trying to get mutt to color all reply's to mails I've written. This is what I've got now: folder-hook . "color index green black '~h in-reply-to:.*acc.umu.se'" This works. It's just that it has one downside, for example if a mailinglist has several people from *acc.umu.se alot of "wrong" mails get colored. So basically what I'm wondering is that if there is some way to get mutt to do "the right thing"? Regards, Johan Svedberg -- Johan Svedberg, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.acc.umu.se/~winkle
$mail_check and $timeout
Hi, all. Could some friendly soul describe the differens between these two settings ($mail_check and $timeout)? I've read the manual but I still don't quite understand. Does one overwrite the other one? Is there a reason why I wouldn't want these to be set equalent? Regards, Johan Svedberg

Multiple coloring
Hi, all. I'm a little unsure of how to formulate this question so please poke on me if you don't understand. :) If I for example have this in my .muttrc: color index blue black "~D" color index brightyellow black "~f winkle ~p" I would like all the mail I mark for deletion to be colored the same way, so my question is this: Is it possible to set some kind of priority for which color mutt should use in case a mail has both of these "conditions"?
