[newbie] sylpheed-claws 1.9.6
I have had claws (0.9.10) running on my 9.2 box and now want to move the folder tree to the 10.1 box. I thought that the last time I did this I copied the /home/lee/Mail directory to the new box and I was done. So I renamed the existing directory xMail and copied the old Mail directory to the new box, changed the permissions to me on the new box(claws 1.9.6), and started Claws. Didn't work. Where did I go wrong? TIA Lee Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com Join the Club : http://www.mandrakeclub.com

Well I hosed my mailbox playing with Dereks instructions for setting up a mailserver. I really need a toybox. I shouldn't be allowed to use the real computer. Anyway, I have everything back except that it won't let me add a filter. Cooker is now coming in to my main folder. I have 5 accounts collected by sylpheed from the isp and our own site. The list mail comes from americanelevatorinspection.com and my isp is comcast.net. Problem seems to be that no matter what account I have active, the filters all set up for comcast.net. Or maybe the problem is that I don't understand the problem. Anyone shed some light here? TIA Lee Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? [newbie] Sylpheed-claws - slight problem
Hi, I was running sylpheed. I read about sylpheed-claws and installed that. Now in folders Inbox -- CLUG -- Newbie shows in blue they have files...but click on that and nothing shows. There may have been files in there before moving from sylpheed to sylpheed-claws. Thanks to all, I'm happy as a clam in sylpheed. Two questions. 1. How do I import 2 years of kmail emails and 2. How about the email addressbook? (far less important). 3. When I'm feeling wild and crazy enough to upgrade to the latest, how do I preserve my files and settings? This one does crash now and again. 4. Has anyone a program to simulate the bsod? Hello, Two questions. 1. How do I import 2 years of kmail emails and Under File you have something called Add Mailbox or something like that (I don't have access to it at the moment) 2. How about the email addressbook? (far less important). Don't know, the FAQ might give you the answer to that one 3. When I'm feeling wild and crazy enough to upgrade to the latest, how do I preserve my files and settings? This one does crash now and again. Open ~/sylpheed/sylpheedrc There will be 2 separate listing for widget font Remove the font listings under both and claws will then launch with the defaults. The font being used can be changed from a running claws using Configuration/Common preferences/Display Charles -- Immature poets imitate, mature poets steal. -- T.S. I have been a opera user a lot longer than I have been a linux user and old habits are sometimes hard to break. I will try adding the -n '%s and see what happens.
