[newbie] Running mc: internal shell not working

[newbie] Ati Radeon 9000 problems

Hallo! Under beta 4 and rc1 I've noticed that the keyboard repeat rate was slower than the one set in bios (30 cps)... For example you could change OptionAutoRepeat 250 30 to OptionAutoRepeat 200 50 The first number is the delay time in milliseconds before a key starts repeating and the second number is the rate which specifies the number of times a key repeats per second. I've set the default program for *htm* files to: /usr/bin/opera -newwindow But it tryes to open a temporary file created by kde instead of the web site. Nothing appears in that new window. [newbie] Graphical login after KDE3 upgrade
Hallo! I've removed Kde 2.2.2 and installed Mandrake's Kde 3.01, but I can no longer get to the graphical login. It's trying to get to it continuosly, and I cannot get to a console using ctrl+alt+f1 (or 2, 3, 4). If I start in maintenance mode, normal boot without X I can then use startx with no problem. I've also removed (with --nodeps) kdebase and reinstalled it. I thought that graphical login was in there... 8-? After reboot I've done the same with gnome-core with no luck. Help is appreciated. Hallo! What do people do to setup samba? Here's what i do (using webmin) at both linux machines: -Create samba user pass pair -Create share (user is allowed to use, share, delete...) -restart samba -run smbmount //smbserver/smbshare /directory_to_use -o username=UserName It asks then for a password.
