[Nighthawk Lovers] Problem

2013-01-04 Thread Jeff Dennis
I put a good 92 750 Nighthawk motor in my 91 bike. I had trans problems with
the original motor. Also neutral switch problems. Finally got it shifting
right but no neutral light. While tinkering with the switch I took the screws
and cover off. I started it and worked on the switch. It started making this
whirling noise from the stater area. Could I have trashed the drive at the end
of the armature ?(gear)? I put a volt meter on and it read 17.43 volts to 15.67
I have an extra R/R. Can I just unbolt the stater along with the rotors easily
and change them?

2012-12-19 Thread Jeff Dennis
I just installed a 92 750 NH motor in my 91 frame the neutral switch and the
cylinder that turn the neutral switch is here. The motor only has 22, miles
on it. Can anyone tell me how to coordinate these so they shift and shift
correctly?:)

Lots of people are trying to buy these and older bikes. New bikes are not
flying off the show room floor. These bikes as you all know are very reliable

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Pilot Road 2s -- I'm just askin'

Sorry you didn't steal my thunder because we were talking about two different
things. Handling is also impaired when you use the next bigger tire up even
though it my fit. I also never had a harsher ride on a bias ply tire. What I
have noticed is today's bias ply don't last as long as they once did. But good
looking out for info that he may not have been aware.
