Anyone deal with cannon scanner, and failed scans to pc?

Since installed user been able to scan, just yesterday user is unable to
scan documents to her pc.
Pc can ping and access the webinterface of the scanner, but scan jobs are
not working ??

Any ideas?

a)  What scanner?

b)  How is it connected to the user's PC?

c)   What has changed since yesterday?

d)  What is the setup (OS etc.) of the user?

e)  Are other people able to use the scanner successfully?

f)   What troubleshooting steps have you applied?

The lack of information is astounding. I'm sure we've all had problems in the 
past, but in the case it could be anything from rats chewed through the cable 
to the scanner, to aliens stole the scanner, to the scanner has just had a 
hardware failure.

okay I will answer this soon.

B) Scanner is connected via the network.
D) widnows 7 32bit.

f) Ping the Scanner.
Connected to the web interface of the scanner via her pc, and it worked.

Does the PC need Cannon Network Scan Gear software, or can it be used to a
SMB share.
I am not onsite, I am troubleshooting remotely..

I am trying to look for user guide or manaual, but I don't see it.
I looked here

Have you had the user reboot her PC? Have you power cycled the scanner?

Agreed. Can't really help until you get logs from the scanner. Error
messages the scanner throws on the screen, etc.
If you are relatively close, like 20 minutes or less away, actually going on
site might be a better option than doing this remotely. You are wasting your
client or end user's time by having her scan things for you to test if some
change you made solved the problem.
