Hi TempMail, the Joomla Plugin was developed by us and we did also made the demo videos and put them up. Re: Is there anyway to control or limit the bandwidth?
Hi Hien, you have some settings in the config.xml. However that will apply to all users in system-wide. Also the bandwidth needed is highly connected to the width and height of the video-camera stream that you publish. And each user can change that individually. From Server Side there might be some settings too, but it is quite inefficient if as long as you have so many opts as client to influence that. This can be the case on VPS systems. Is the memory really FREE and can be allocated ?! Sometimes some (actually bad) providers claim that they give you for example a VServer with 8GB RAM. Re: Backup doesn't work
Hallo Ivan, this should not happen, cause actually if you delete users via OpenMeetings, the record is still in the database, it is just flaged as openmeetings. Did you manually delete them also from the DB? Sebastian On Oct 21, 2:40 pm, Ivan Bondarenko bondarenko.iva...@gmail.com wrote: Hi! We have a database with around 300 users in it. In the database every user have a new id, so our previous sequece of ids is like: 1, 2, 3 ... This is in the users table. Re: Video screen size and delay/choppiness
If you resize the video you should push the re-synchronize button in the video pod of the user who is sharing itswebcam to publish the stream with higher quality. The quality of the video is always optimal for the size of the video pod you publish it. If you enlarge it much bigger you should re-publish the stream. You might want to open a ticket in the Issue tracker: http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/issues/entry I guess we will implement it in some of the upcoming versions, to boost the process you can sponsor someone on the list to do it: http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/Jobs Sebastian 2010/9/10 Renato Machado renatobob...@gmail.com Good Morning, I'd like to see the video in new window browser. Re: Install openmeetings with Apache Tomcat mod_jk
Could not create connection to database server = Wrong credentials in the hibernate.cfg.xml Also you should use Sun-JDK not Open-JDK. Sebastian 2010/9/9 Evgeniy Voevodin voevodi...@gmail.com Dear Sebastian, Thank you for your patience, It seems like Red5 tends to listen everything on port 5080 and it should not be a problem. But could you please help me with the next one: I am running Red Hat 6.2 on the server, I have mysql there and installed openjdk via yum recently. My Red5 throws an exeption (I have found it in the error log file) com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException: Could not create connection to database server I have checked hibernate.cfg.xml - it is okay, all credentials are on its place. I have tried to use mysql from the console with these credentials and it works perfectly but Red5 is unable to connect to mysql with them. Could that be a Java error, maybe I have installed wrong package? The interface throws an error NetConnection.connect.failed while trying rtmpt://educateouryouth.com:8088/openmeetings/hibernate . Re: Install openmeetings with Apache Tomcat mod_jk
Hi Evgeniy, there are two ways to bind Red5 behind Apache. One is using mod_jk the other one is using mod_proxy. (Or you use both of them). However it is some time ago that I have configured mod_jk. Also I think there was a mod_jk2 version. You need to enable something on the Red5 (Tomcat) side too to make it work. Re: Problem after updated to 1.4 RC1
You need to re-import all labels into a fresh database. Just copying the old hibernate.cfg.xml will not work. We had some issues then, but now we decided to give it another shot. I downloaded 1.4 RC1, and copied the hibernate config file over from the old installation. Re: near future plans for better interface
Yes well we try to improve permanently. The dashboard will be replaced with another layout in one of the next versions. For new users its hard, but improving for new users often results in reducing functionality and I don't think that the majority of users and devs is into that idea. Sebastian 2010/9/4 hosdes indesign...@gmail.com Is there any near future plans for a better interface? Re: co-browsing all users are see new pages, mouse view
Hi hosdes, unfortunately there is no way of grabing the clicks, because of security reasons you cannot grab the URL of a iFrame when it changes. Sebastian 2010/9/4 hosdes indesign...@gmail.com I have played around with openmeetings demo and co-browsing. I see that all other users only see the url that is in the address box. Re: Openmeetings LDAP Connection with Openldap Server
Hi Josh, from my point of view the file you've linked to is 1:1 the same as in the SVN. You can browse the SVN and see the differences to each version to check what we have done here: http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/source/browse/trunk/singlewebapp/src/app/org/openmeetings/app/ldap/LdapLoginManagement.java On the top there are buttons to go back in history and also to see the Diff's. http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/source/list?path=/trunk/singlewebapp/src/app/org/openmeetings/app/ldap/LdapLoginManagement.javastart=3317 The patch you've linked to should be commited with r2743 r2748 and there was a later patch in r3246: http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/source/detail?r=3246path=/trunk/singlewebapp/src/app/org/openmeetings/app/ldap/LdapLoginManagement.java# In r3246 there is some interesting comment, that seems to be exactly the problem you are refering to. Sebastian 2010/9/4 Josh josh.fry...@gmail.com Was there ever resolution on the OpenLDAP integration issue? Did the fixes get migrated into SVN? I am running the current RC candidate, and have exactly the same problem documented by many others in this space. See the URL below which is a long thread documenting various problems. When connecting via LDAP, valid username/random password works, as long as auth type is NONE and not SIMPLE. With SIMPLE, I only get a collection of errors. I'd like to have this working, but the email chain seems to indicate there are patches floating around that are unapplied. If the fixes have not been put into SVN yet, can someone send me a set of instructions and files to patch against my pre-built OM install? Re: User image
Hallo Bicho, re-connecting users just to re-fresh their Avatar-Image is not a good idea. You have to go through the LZX Source Code and look for the places where the images are shown, register those objects to a list and then you send a event to all items on the list to do a certain action. This is called *observer-pattern* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observer_pattern A sample code would look like that: canvas attribute name=observerList value=null / method name=register args=refObj if (this.observerList == null) { this.observerList = new Array(); } this.observerList.push(refObj); /method method name=unregister args=refObj ![CDATA[ for (var i=0;ithis.observerList.length;i++) { if (this.observerList[i] == refObj) { this.observerList.splice(i,1); break; } } ]] /method method name=sendUpdateToAllImages ![CDATA[ for (var i=0;ithis.observerList.length;i++) { this.observerList[i].reloadSource(); } ]] /method class name=myImage extends=image handler name=oninit canvas.register(this); /handler handler name=onload if ($debug) Debug.write(Image Re- or Loaded); /handler handler name=removeItem canvas.unregister(this); /handler method name=reloadSource this.setAttribute(src,this.src); /method /class simplelayout axis=y / myImage name=myImage1 src= http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/docs/Scr_OM_04.jpg/ myImage name=myImage2 src= http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/docs/Scr_OM_04.jpg/ myImage name=myImage3 src= http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/docs/Scr_OM_04.jpg/ myImage name=myImage4 src= http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/docs/Scr_OM_04.jpg/ myImage name=myImage5 src= http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/docs/Scr_OM_04.jpg/ myImage name=myImage6 src= http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/docs/Scr_OM_04.jpg/ /canvas Sebastian 2010/8/31 Bicho4191 bichosoft4...@gmail.com Hi all a few days ago i post for a litle help http://groups.google.com/group/openmeetings-user/browse_thread/thread/44c855bdb0bdcdde i work in this and iam so close, my users can upload their pictures from the room but my others user cannot see the new picture then i need a method or a way to update all pictures. grettings and thx 4 all -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups OpenMeetings User group.
