have you created the database "ifbstcde_meeting" ?

2010-03-16 Thread Jyothivas Nair
Hi Dinesh,

your basic problem is mail server not being enabled on your server...the
workaround until you get your mail server up is while adding a new user do
not put his email id field leave it blankafter u have added the person
you can go and edit the record and add his email id field.
the issue is that when you add a new field openmeetings tries to send a mail
to the new user, which fails due to the fact that there is no mail server
set.

for your moodle problem...are you sure your using your openmeetings super
administrator login when you put in your settings
because any other user login wont work in moodle connection.

i have mentioned earlier that your server has to be a servlet
 container...like apache tomcat
u have a apache installed which is a http server

you need to install apache tomcat and copy the red5 folder into its
 webapps folder

and if your server is linux OS you have to access red5.sh and not
 red5.bat i believe

openmeetings is run on a red5 serverwhich in turn runs on a
 servlet container
for which you need to install a server that handles servlets

 hope this helps you :)

 Hi Dinesh,

just try a restartas your red5 service is working at
 http://www.ifbstc.com:5080/
and it is showing a 404 error if trying to access "openmeetings" project

if the restart of red5 service does not work just check your error

2010-03-15 Thread Jyothivas Nair
there is no need to check the logs then...your problems is what you
mentioned that you have 2 red5 installations on one server
if you try to run 2 red5 installations on the same port it wont work.
if you already have 5080 port being used by one of your applications then
you will either have to change the ports for either of the red5 installation
either openmeetings or video whisper component

else the fastest way would be if you already have a red5 service running for
video whisper component on your server
then why dont you copy just the "openmeetings folder"(present inside
red5->webapps folder inside openmeetings download) and paste it into the
working red5(video whisper component) webapps folder, then you can run both
the applicaiton from one server without maintaining multiple servers and
changing ports

NOTE: i do not have an idea what your current video whisper component does
so please check compatibility before using the same server for both
applications.

i have mentioned earlier that your server has to be a servlet
 container...like apache tomcat
u have a apache installed which is a http server

you need to install apache tomcat and copy the red5 folder into its
 webapps folder

and if your server is linux OS you have to access red5.sh and not
 red5.bat i believe

openmeetings is run on a red5 serverwhich in turn runs on a
 servlet container
for which you need to install a server that handles servlets

 hope this helps you :)

Hi Dinesh,

just try a restartas your red5 service is working at
http://www.ifbstc.com:5080/
and it is showing a 404 error if trying to access "openmeetings" project

if the restart of red5 service does not work just check your error
logsinside your red5 -> logs folder they will have something there

2010-03-12 Thread Jyothivas Nair
i have mentioned earlier that your server has to be a servlet
container...like apache tomcat
u have a apache installed which is a http server

you need to install apache tomcat and copy the red5 folder into its
webapps folder

and if your server is linux OS you have to access red5.sh and not
red5.bat i believe

openmeetings is run on a red5 serverwhich in turn runs on a
servlet container
for which you need to install a server that handles servlets

hope this helps you :)

Hi,

We have apache server with Linux platform. In the previous mail you havs
discussed that "*copy all the contents to your tomcat webapp folder*" But in
our server there is no webapp folder.

I have copied the downloaded open meeting files in the root of the server. I
cant able to run the red5.bat file.

So please advice me on this.

so you have a dedicated server
and since you haven't mentioned the configuration for the same i
assume your server is apache tomcat on windows platform as you are
executing red5.bat

all you have to do is
download openmeetings from download link on project home page (since
you have it running on local machine copy the folder from your webapp
folder).
copy all the contents to your tomcat webapp folder
double click on red5.bat
your red5 server should start (check by typing url http://yourip:5080/)
red5 home page should start
create database...edit hibernate.cfg file
if done till here then access
http://yourip:5080/openmeetingdownlaodedfolder/install
that's it to it

from what you have posted earlier...where exactly are you trying to
execute the red5.bat filewhich folder have you placed these
files ?

2010-03-12 Thread Jyothivas Nair
for you to be able to run opwnmeetings on the server
you need remote desktop rights...to connect to that server remotely
and execute the file
if you try to run the file using the browser or FTP it will only
download

you need to upload the openmeetings to your server(which i hope is a
servlet container like Apache tomcat)
then remote desktop connect to your server and run the red5 batch
file.

what exactly is your server configuration that you have presently
it this a dedicated server with tomcat installed ?

But i need to install in on the server. (http://www.ifbstc.com) Here im

My question is how to run the red5 in the server. If i copied the open
meeting source file in the root of the folder and can i try it to run by the
following URL http://www.ifbstc.com/openmeetings/red5/red5.bat. But when i
try to access this it will download the file red5.bat.

I need to run red5.bat and install the open meeting on the server. My new to
this one and please advice me to proceed further.

2010-03-11 Thread Sebastian Wagner
