to have OTRS leave them on the server?

The general answer to this (this question is asked quite frequently on
this list) is to setup your mailserver so that mail to your OTRS
mailbox is *also* forwarded to another mailbox for archiving. I really
don't recommend to leave all messages in the OTRS mailbox. First of
all I don't know if OTRS really handles this setup well and
performance will be a lot worse too.

[otrs] Attachment problems when using special chars and IE.

2008-01-14 Thread Sune T. Tougaard
Hi,

Testing the 2.2.4 version of OTRS, and are having a few issues with
attachment names when downloading them, if there are special characters in
the filename and if using Internet Explorer (latest).

Trying with a simple text file called æøå.txt, with the contents: test.

I can send an e-mail with the attachment or create a ticket from the
web-interface and attach the file there.
The filename is displayed correctly in the web-interface.

However, when trying to download/open the attachment, the filename gets
garbled: It's now called æøå.txt

The OTRS is using utf-8, the DB (MySQL) is using utf-8, and the browser is
using utf-8 (so it says).

Firefox does not appear to have the problem.

Perhaps i should be mailing the IE Users mailing list, but hey... ;-)

It decides what happens when a customer decides to post a follow-up email to a
closed ticket.

New Ticket:
- A new ticket will be created

Possible:
- The closed ticket will be re-opened.

Reject:
- It is not possible to post follow-up referencing a closed ticket number.

[otrs] SLA for pending ticket

2008-01-14 Thread Fabio Paracchini
Hi folks,

how is a ticket on pending impacting on SLA ?

I have a ticket with a Solution time SLA of 2 days, and I put it on
pending for 7 days: OTRS says that solution time will arrive in 2
days, but I would expect it to expire in 2+7 days, it seems that
pending does not stop the clock.

Is this the designed behaviour ? And, if so, how can I customize OTRS to
keep track of pending ?

Thank you in advance

Fabio

But I am asking for e-mail notification. Notifications can be seen from otrs

should be sent to the agent.

Is there a way to do this?

Those are basic functions which can be done in the 'preferences' panel by the
agent himself.

The agent needs to mark the queue as 'my queue' and switch 'new ticket
notification' to 'Yes'.

[otrs] Time Accounting: How to make months start on 15th day instead of 1st Day?

2008-01-14 Thread Daniel Stonegate Fischer
Hello,

i have a question regarding the OTRS Time Accounting Module.

How is it possible to make the module reset all times on 15th of each month
instead of 1st Day of a month?

We track times for a customer project and the payment cycle ist he 15th of
each month. Thus we should be able to track from 15th of a month, not 1st
day.

Can anyone give me a small hint how to realize that?

Thanks so much in advance.

1) Absender
