[otrs] System::Time objects not working

2010-09-14 Thread Alejandra Piedra
Hello everyone

I recently created a stat using the System::Time time functions, and although
it worked for long time, now is just not responding.
When I try to generate the stat it just stays reloading forever and at the end
it throws a misconfiguration message which is not explicit, and when I go into
the log, it doesn't show anything.

Can anyone help me?

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to configure a stat using the TicketAccountedTime object, but all I
get are zeros when trying to use the Evaluation by attribute.
Is there something special that I have to use or configure?

Thanks and regards

Re: [otrs] report of time per agent // outside reporting

2010-07-06 Thread Alejandra Piedra
Hi everyone

I just have one problem. I tried executing the report but then an error appears:

Undefined subroutine Kernel::System::Stats::Static::StateAccountime::Run
called at ../..//Kernel/System/Stats.pm line 745.

I checked and the line that's generating all the problem is the following
underlined:

if ( !...@result ) {

# run stats function
@Result = $StatObject-Run(
%GetParam,
# these two lines are requirements of me, perhaps this
# information is needed for former static stats
Format = $Param{Format}[0],
Module = $Param{ObjectModule},
);

Do I have to do something else?

Thanks and regards

[otrs] URL insertion not working with firefox and Chrome

2010-07-02 Thread Alejandra Piedra
Good morning to you all!

Currently I'm using the latest installation of OTRS, so I'm getting every juice
out of the WYSIWYG rich text editor.
With that being said, I'm using the URL insertion to add some file locations
instead of attaching them. The thing is that when I try to execute them with
Firefox or Google Chrome I get the following error.
Not Found
The requested URL /otrs/\\server\file location.
The funny and ironic thing is that with Internet Explorer it works like a
charm. So I'm assuming it's and explorer issue, but wanted to know if anyone
found the way to fix it?.

Cheers!

Search for [itsm] Internal SLA's in google or with your search engine. There
you will find all the steps to do this and hopefully later will be able to do

It finds the previous month. So if the CURRENT month is 1, it sets the
month to twelve, and decreases the year with 1. Otherwise it simply
decreases the value for month with 1.

Does that help?

[otrs] Problems with rich text editor

2010-06-03 Thread Alejandra Piedra
Hi everyone!

I'm having some problems with the rich text editor. Today when I logged it just
didn't appear. In the text section of the new ticket it just was blank.
So I went and turn it off in the Sysconfig, went back to the ticket and the
text area appeared. I thought that if I went and turned it on again it would
come back again but it didn't.
This has happened to me before, but it solved itself like it was magic.

Can anyone tell me if it happened to someone else, and how can I solve it.

Re: [otrs] Custom themes

2010-06-03 Thread Alejandra Piedra
Hi Stephen

You have to change the css class used in the Header. So try adding this line of
code to your header.

# include css.dtl  file
 link href=$Config{Frontend::CSSPath} Custom/agent.css rel=stylesheet
type=text/css/

And to modify your customer interface you have to do the same. Just emulate
what the code says originally.

Hi,

In trying to setup a custom customer log in theme I have
created a Custom dir in Kernel/Output/HTML and copied
the files from Standard that I wanted to modify - works great,
however I need to change the customer-css file which in 2.3 used
to be in the same directory. It now seems it is in
var/httpd/htdocs/css/Standard so I created a parallel directory
var/httpd/htdocs/css/Custom and cp over the customer.css file
make changes to it but it has no effect.

In looking at the source of the customer login page I see that
it is still using the css/Standard directory. I have changed the
defaultTheme to Custom and I get my changes that I have made in the
Kernel/Output/HTML/Custom directory. What should I set to make
the css stuff come from my Custom directory?

Hi Atanas

I just have one question regarding a certain section of your code, which I've
already seen in the other Static stat from OTRS.
What does this do?

# get current time
my ($s, $m, $h, $D, $M, $Y);
my ($Ymin, $Ymax, $Select, %Agents, @row);

($s, $m, $h, $D, $M, $Y) = $Self-{TimeObject}-SystemTime2Date(
SystemTime = $Self-{TimeObject}-SystemTime(),
);

# get one month before
if ($M == 1) {
$M = 12;
$Y = $Y - 1;
}
else {
$M = $M -1;
}

Can I change it so is more like: Year/Month/Day/Ticket ID/ArticleID.

This way every article folder will be under a single ticket folder and so
easier to track down. Can this be done?

Actually this could be done, yes.
All you need to do is to change the code of OTRS - it is open source - to fit
you needs.

I think it is not that big change (sorry for not pointing you to the very right
direction, I am not involved into that part of OTRS, but search for
ArticleStorageFS) but please consider that your structure would actually bind
an article again to a ticket number, right?

Maybe we can help you also on a commercial base as offered on

Re: [otrs] OTRS Terms of use (Alexander Halle)

2010-05-25 Thread Alejandra Piedra
Hey there!

My main question is, if I can have another completely different server to store
the attachments. If I can, than I need to know if what is the correct way to
set the ArticleDir (I'm trying with //servername/folder).

I've tried giving permissions to the Apache user (Allow services to interact
with desktop) but that sounds that's giving permission over the same server
which has the OTRS installation not another server.
 If I set the ArticleDir locally meaning c:/folder, it works, but I need it to
be in another server.

Thanks for all the help, hope anyone can help me.

My OTRS installation is on Windows and I'm trying to set the ArticleDir so it
has access to my FileServer. When I try to set it like //scwsti1444/FileServer,
it gives me the following error:

before chdir,
expected dev=2 ino=0, actual dev=-1 ino=0, aborting. at
../..//Kernel/System/Ticket/ArticleStorageFS.pm line 48

I've given all access to this folder which, for testing, is located in my
computer.

What else is missing?

Hi there,

Alejandra, there is a sysconfig setting that allows you to store attachments
not in DB but in filesystem, where are much easier to delete. It's at Ticket -
Core::Ticket and it's called Ticket::StorageModule ;)

Alexander,

Thanks for your response, it seems so we can do what we want with OTRS :)

I have nothing against giving our code.

The only point is that I will not be the one who will develop that code and can
not force him to do so (but I will propose) :)

I wanted only to be sure that there is no problem if we customize the code in
the way WE want and need.

I put WE in capitals as this draft feature for example may not be to the taste
of others.

The developments will be made as much as possible OUTSIDE Otrs in order to be
able to upgrade without being able to rewrite all code ...

So I am still wondering if others could be interested by such modifications ...

Hi Ale,

Do you have Net::SMTP installed? you can check by running
/opt/otrs/bin/otrs.checkModules

In case you don't, you can install it running cpan -i Net::SMTP

You could also set the following parameter in /opt/otrs/Kernel/Config.pm,
restart otrs and try again to trigger your notification

$Self-{CheckMXRecord} = 0;

Let us know how it goes

So I would like to know how to use the generic agent and escalation
