[otrs] Users access and multiple queues
I just had a user come up to me and state that when he logs in, he gets the dashboard, but then he clicks on Queue Views (default for this user is the Helpdesk) it won't display the tickets in the queue. He has permission to access it. Also is it possible to have multiple queues for multiple emails addresses? In other words can I have a...@example.commailto:a...@example.com going to queue abc and x...@example.commailto:x...@example.com going to queue xyz but all on the same system? Did that. I uninstalled 3.1.4 and moved back to 3.1.3 on my new server and it worked. There is something seriously broken in 3.1.4. Actually you can also set up processing email via procmail - http://doc.otrs.org/2.4/en/html/x1590.html#email-receiving-cmd . You'll need a bit more configuration for it but it will enable you to process mail immediately. You'll need to receive the mail on your OTRS box and then you can pipe it directly into OTRS. You should configure your existing mail server to bounce mail for OTRS to the OTRS machine. [otrs] restoring a backup to a new OTRS install
A couple of weeks ago, my OTRS 2.0.4 installation crashed, and became completely unrecoverable. Luckily I had a backup from 3 days prior to it. It is a mysqldump. I was wondering if it was possible to restore this into mysql and then upgrade the database to 2.2.5 spec, do another mysql dump and restore to the new 2.2.5 install. If anyone can help me, can you give me the commands I will need to do? I am not very good at mysql. BTW - the new install is on a totally different server. I'm not sure if they are using the same name for the databases though. [otrs] accessing OTRS from outside
We have our routers setup so that OTRS can be accessed from anywhere. But when we go to the web address http://helpdesk.company.com/otrs2.index.pl it doesn't work. [otrs] OTRS 2.2.4
I know have asked this before but I have 2 installation of OTRS on the same server, just one is activated... I have my version 2.0.4 provided by Debian 4.0 I would like to get the latest working from scratch, my only concern is if I use 2.2.4, do I need to anything to the database? I also don't know where the apache Directory tags are listed. I tried migrating from one server to another without taking down the first, but that didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Yes, you need to run all applicable database scripts (in order). See the UPGRADING file. [otrs] email
I am having some issues getting email out on time. Sometimes the email will not go out after answering a ticket for several hours. I'm not sure what I did wrong. [otrs] RE: otrs Digest, Vol 48, Issue 33
Hi, I emailed a few days ago about sending a receiving email within the system. I think I got it setup, but the emails come in and then go out 6 hours after. I am not getting notifications when a new one comes in. Is this normal? Do I need to change something in the config? ___ OTRS mailing list: otrs - Webpage: http://otrs.org/ Archive: http://lists.otrs.org/pipermail/otrs To unsubscribe: http://lists.otrs.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/otrs Support or consulting for your OTRS system? = http://www.otrs.com/
[otrs] setting up to email out
What files do I need to edit to get OTRS to send email out? I can't seem to find it in the Config.pm file. Where is it? I'm on Debian Etch. ___ OTRS mailing list: otrs - Webpage: http://otrs.org/ Archive: http://lists.otrs.org/pipermail/otrs To unsubscribe: http://lists.otrs.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/otrs Support or consulting for your OTRS system? = http://www.otrs.com/
