Re: [otrs] Calendar assigned to Queue not working

2012-07-10 Thread Michiel Beijen
Hi Derek,

The time zone in the calendar does not change the create time for
tickets; create time for tickets would always be local time of the
user. If I create a ticket at 7 AM, this will always be 7 AM no matter
the time zone attached to the calendar of the queue. I hope this makes
sense.

If you enable TimeZoneUser in the configuration (and
TimeZoneAutoOffset as well) users see the tickets in their local time.
Which means that if you'd create a ticket at 9AM CET, and someone in
the UK is looking at the ticket, they see a create time of 8AM UK
time; which is what you'd expect.

The time zone offset in the calendar is really used for calculating
any escalations, it is used for calculating your actual business
hours.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Is this possible?

geschrieben wird.

Beispiel:

End: 2011-03-11 15:00:00
Organizer: Hans Mustermann (xyz123)

By: Hans Mustermann (xyz123)

Leider finde ich keine Moeglichkeit das abzustellen. In der SysConfig gibt es
kaum Optionen fuer Calendar. Und unter Benachrichtigungen habe ich auch nichts
gefunden.

Kann mir jemand helfen, ich wuerde die Benachrichtigungen gerne abschalten?!

Re: [otrs] Synchronize from my Outlook calendar to the OTRS calendar

2010-06-09 Thread Christoph Ohliger

Hi,

I have no solution for your request, but my opinion for discussion.

I think it would be better to use/implement already existing
calendar/groupware systems like Horde or other. They already have sync
options and the OTRS developement can concentrate on the OTRS issues.

By the way with Outlook you have a basic problem with synchronising in
Open Source environment. AFAIK you will need any iCal, WebDav function
like ICAL4OL.

I guess the times are hard written in $OTRS_HOME/Kernel/Config.pm … which you

[otrs] Calendar: Change layout of events

2009-03-26 Thread Jeremy Adams

Currently ORTS show events in the calendar are displayed as (agent) Title. I
would rather the event was showen in the calendar as Title (agent)

How would one accomplish this?

Thanks

[otrs] Calendar Performance

2009-03-10 Thread Nick Bright
I'm again revisiting an issue posted to this list around Oct 10, 2008.
Unfortunately I have never been able to solve this issue.

I used a stopwatch just now to time how long it takes to load the next
page when I click on All Events in OTRS. It was 55 seconds. In my
original posting I hadn't timed it with a stopwatch, I was reporting
what the droids told me - apparently they exaggerated a bit.

Regardless, the issue persists, and 55 seconds is far too long for as
few events as our calendar contains. I am open to whatever suggestions
anybody has regarding how to improve performance of the Calendar module!

Thank you in advance :)

CentOS 5.2, all updates applied
OTRS 2.3.3
Apache 2.2.3-11.el5_2
Perl 5.8.8-15.el5_2.1
mod_perl 2.0.2-6.3

output of top while attempting to load the calendar:

Interestingly I had not noted the high CPU usage of HTTPD while loading
this page in the past, but I repeated the test several times - httpd
uses almost no CPU unless the calendar is loading, at which time it
spikes one of the CPU cores to full load.

OTRS got MUCH faster when I enabled the mod_perl configuration, but

That is to say, when you click on the Calendar icon it takes three
to five minutes to pull up any given view of the Calendar.

Is there any way to improve the performance of this application?

We don't use the Calendar, but 3-5 *minutes* doesn't sound like normal
performance (even when not using mod_perl). Have you checked things
like

logs, system load, memory usage, etc.?

Thanks for your response Nils.

The server itself is performing well. CPU load is normal, memory load
was normal, even before I upgraded the box to 4GB RAM (from 512MB). Disk
I/O doesn't seem unusually high, and top doesn't show the system
spending a lot of time in wait state:

Tasks: 104 total, 1 running, 102 sleeping, 0 stopped, 1 zombie
Cpu(s): 0.2%us, 0.5%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.3%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si,

Swap: 2097144k total, 100k used, 2097044k free, 3058580k cached

Even before switching the rest of OTRS to mod_perl, the calendar was
slower than everything else. mod_perl made a *huge* difference in the
rest of OTRS though. I'd have to subjectively say something like a 5x
performance improvement.

I tried putting the Calendar modules in to the mod_perl startup scripts
but I don't think I was doing it right. I got lots of errors where
apache wouldn't start, and when it would start it made no difference at
all in performance.

I have created a queue SEVERITY-3 with Calendar 1 1 (8:00-17:00 x 5).
Calendar 1 is configured as 8:00-17:00 for weekdays.
Escalation solution time for that queue is 14400 mins (10 days).

While creating an e-mail ticket, Due Date is given as TOMORROW, my escalaiton
solution time constraint is not taken into consideration.

How can I make DUE DATE calculated to 10 days later.

Re: [otrs] calendar ticket linking

2005-09-27 Thread Daniel Balan

Hello Mark,

few weeks ago I had the same comment/idea because it will be just great to link a ticket (or more) to one Calendar Event.
here is the answer:

snip

In OTRS 2.0 we moved to see tickets and faqs as objects. So we also plan
to have event objects (but currentlly we don't have event objects).

And with the OTRS framework comes a basic feature to link objects. So if
we moved the events to objects it is not problem to link also events to
tickets or faqs.

snap

It seams that maybe the next version will bring this feature to us.

Any way for the moment you can use the pending state function of OTRS which allows you to set a note and a time to do something with the ticket. Not to mention that you also have the e-mail notification.
Cheers,

Daniel

[otrs] calendar display time increments -- adjustable?

2005-08-18 Thread Mark Nernberg
How can I change the calendar display to show time increments of 15 or 30
minutes instead of hourly?

Also, is it possible to change the calendar event-creation dialogue to offer
times in 15-minute increments instead of 1- minute increments?

Lastly, in the calendar display, if I schedule an event from 3PM - 4PM, and
another from 4PM - 5PM, the display shows overlap at 4PM. Would it be
possible to change that so that if I schedule the 3PM event, it shows from
3PM (inclusive) to 4PM (exclusive) so that the event doesn't appear in the
4pm hour?

[otrs] Calendar is missing

2005-08-17 Thread Daniel Balan

Hi there,

As far as I can see in the demo on OTRS site there is nice Calendar
feature.

In my new installation I can not see it.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,

Daniel

The calendar can be installed as an additional package. Go to the
Package Manager menu as admin, and choose the Calendar package from
the Online Repository. If you can't find it there, the package can be
donwloaded from http://ftp.otrs.org/pub/otrs/misc/packages/
