Hi Brian,
Yes, unfortunately you would have to reapply the patch to 5.6.
If it works well enough I’ll include it in 5.7 though.

The issue is that there are case where you may not want your graphite server to
be on the PF server.
I would like to extend the patch a little so that the URL might be pointed to
another host entirely.

There is also the fact that the is little authentication (i.e none) applied to
those requests.
We are considering actually pointing the URL to the GUI’s IP and then proxying
those requests to the actual httpd.graphite process.

Decisions, decisions.
All inputs are welcome.

Worked like a charm! I patched it manually rather than downloading and
running diff on such a small change. Thank you so much for your time! The
PF team never fails to amaze. When I run the 5.6 update is this patch
going to break the update? Will I have to re patch? Thanks!

It sets the URL to the hostname defined in pf.conf.

The problem is that pf incorrectly uses graphites with the ip instead of
host name.

Is pf behind nat?

problem. The graphite log files are empty however the httpd.admin.log file
contains the following error:

Dec 31 06:04:22 httpd.admin(15984) ERROR: Use of uninitialized value $start
in pattern match (m//) at
/usr/local/pf/html/pfappserver/lib/pfappserver/PacketFence/Controller/Graph.pm
line 306.
 (pfappserver::__ANON__)

Can anyone help me with this? This is on pf 5.5.2 but hasn't worked for a
while now.

Thanks!

Hello Luca,
I see also an error on the graphite DB, but I haven't it!!
That may be a bit of a problem ;)
Can you list the databases currently present on the server ?
Also, is that a fresh 5.3.0 install ? (I know that you then upgraded to 5.3.1
but still, was it a fresh 5.3.0) ?
Cheers!dw.

Luca,
Check /usr/local/pf/logs/httpd.graphite.access and
/usr/local/pf/logs/httpd.graphite.error.
That might indicate if something is going wrong. Please paste output (link to
PasteBin is better) so that we can check
Cheers!dw.

Hi all,
from version 5.3.0 (now upgraded to 5.3.1) I can't get any graph on the

Thanks
