I'm pleased to make available to you all the xm stations as .m3u files so
that you can pick your station. For your free zipped copy Please contact
 me
 privately at:
 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
And I'll send your zip file as an attachment as fast as the requests come
in. Now I also need to tell you that Aol can change these at any sec.
 There
is 2 of the streams that are not working and that's the 40s chanel and one
called high standards. I've left the .m3u files for those in the zip
 incase
they return but all the others are working and there's 28 stations
altogether unless we find more of them. Several friends of mine have been
working with me to make sure we bring you the most accurate list. You have
no worry writing to me. I do not put your addresses in my address book.
 Thanks.

In other words, please write to him privately and ask for the list,
doing it via the list when he specifically asked people to write to
him privately shows that you aren't paying very close attention.

I mean, really. It took Don a lot of time to figure out these
addresses for the stations, let's please at least honor his request.

Thanks.

Internal Tripletalk soundcard wireless headphones issue

2007-03-08 Thread ANN
Hi folks,

I just got a new Tripletalk PCI synthesizer, and boy am I excited. I'm one
of those folk who have never been totally satisfied with the performance of
software speech, especially under serious processor access times. But am
having one minor annoyance with it. Apparently, unlike my very old internal
doubletalk synthesizer, this thing puts out a good amount of juice, and I
can't connect it to the Line-In of my soundcard without experiencing some
serious background noises.

Now, can anyone tell me either of the following. How I can connect the
output of this to my soundcard so I can use my wireless headphones to listen
to it privately from anywhere in the house? Or, b. how I might connect my
wireless headphones to both my soundcard the sound output on this
synthesizer? And, I'd like to do any of the above as cheaply as possible.

I have this nagging feeling that the answer to either will be so simple I'll
kick myself when I receive it.

Thanks.

I'd check with the manufacturer as to voltages and such as some of these

Pardon me but why are you needing to resample the file in the first
place, can't you just open it and leave it to Sound Forge to work
out? You could resample the file if you need to after its opened.

I personally don't use itunes, will never use itunes, but I have written to
apple, and tried to contact someone by phone. Because I don't want to use a
program does not mean I won't try to put my voice out there to help. It's a
vastly popular application, and there's no reason they couldn't make it
accessable.

If they finally do, I will be very happy.

Ok, well I take my hat off to you for writing as allot of people just
sit back and let others do the hard work but I can assure you from

Why do Apple users make a thing about how accessible Itunes is?
Because quite simply its worth making a thing about, its taken a

Judy,

Here is another question: Are you creating a new file, from an existing
one? You haven't really given enough information on what you are doing and
what the final result will be. I think you need to find out what rate your
open file is recorded at and find the template field, to set things up, as
the resample field, in the process menu has limited numbers to set the rate
at. Beyond that, I cannot describe the procedure adequately; someone else
will have to, after you describe what I asked you, OK?

Thanks,

I've heard warnings of such. I thought even the Dec Talk Express and the
normal ISA double talk have warning of needing some sort of transformer if
you wanted to use an amplification device with them. I forget what kind or
if such a thing exists in a form one can just plug in.

 Hi Ann,
I'd check with the manufacturer as to voltages and such as some of these
cards are not meant to handle impedances other than that of a speaker.

Subject: Internal Tripletalk soundcard wireless headphones issue

 Hi folks,

I just got a new Tripletalk PCI synthesizer, and boy am I excited. I'm one
of those folk who have never been totally satisfied with the performance
 of
software speech, especially under serious processor access times. But am
having one minor annoyance with it. Apparently, unlike my very old
 internal
doubletalk synthesizer, this thing puts out a good amount of juice, and I
can't connect it to the Line-In of my soundcard without experiencing some
 serious background noises.

Now, can anyone tell me either of the following. How I can connect the
output of this to my soundcard so I can use my wireless headphones to
 listen
to it privately from anywhere in the house? Or, b. how I might connect my
wireless headphones to both my soundcard the sound output on this
synthesizer? And, I'd like to do any of the above as cheaply as possible.

I have this nagging feeling that the answer to either will be so simple
 I'll
kick myself when I receive it.

 Thanks.

 ~Ann

 Hi all,
I've got a question about podcast receivers. I've currently got the
latest version of Juice. It's downloaded partial podcast files and
called them complete. It also claims partial downloads that aren't
anywhere on my computer. Is this expected behavior, the fault of my
dial-up connection or something totally out there?
Regardless, does anyone have any suggestions for other JFW 7 friendly
 podcast receivers?
On a related, but not pc audio topic, what about RSS receivers. I saw a
demo of the Icon recently, and the podcasts and RSS were integrated into
one client. Is that done in any for the PC? And if so, do any of them
work with JAWS and cash the RSS articles?

I'm relatively new to the whole thing, but I want to get started.
 Thanks for any help,

new subscriber requesting advice

2007-03-08 Thread Missy Hoppe
Hello, everyone. First of all, I'd like to sincerely apologize in advance
if this message is off-topic for this list. I'm just trying to get as much
feedback as possible. I'm preparing to buy a new computer, one that I hope
will last me for at least as long as my current system
has. The last computer I got was in 2002, and it is still more or less
functional, but I'm wanting to get a system that is not only more
up-to-date, but also more responsive. I do
a lot of work with audio files , mostly mp3 and midi. I also do a lot of
web browsing, word processing, and I play a lot of text-based games both on
and
off line. I've been trying to do my homework with regards to parts to
include in my dream system. I've decided that even though it might be a
little more expensive, I'd rather hand pick every aspect of my new system
to insure that I know exactly what I'm getting and also to insure maximum
compatibility with the latest version of JFW professional version.
My goals for this system, in order of importance, are maximum stability,
maximum responsiveness and as much future proofing as possible. I'm
prepared to spend up to $3500 to get everything as nice as possible, but
naturally, if I could spend less, that would be really great. For numerous
reasons, I'm not planning to upgrade to Windows Vista quite yet; I'm
planning to run my new computer using Windows XP media center edition for a
year or so. Never-the-less, I'd like this new computer to be completely
ready for vista whenever I am.
With all that being said, I was hoping that I could get advice from members
of this list with regards to my final parts checklist.
I'm planning to purchase all my parts from newegg.com some time next month,
and then get the system assembled by an expert in my local area.
Basicly, what I'm hoping to attain is guidance in making sure that I
haven't picked out any blatently incompatible parts, or that I
haven't overlooked anything. My primary questions at this point pertain to
choosing
the most stable motherboard and video card to meet my needs. As much
research as I've done over the past couple of months, there are still a lot
of things that I don't fully understand. All I know is that I have no plans
to overclock my system, especially since JFW can't access the bios, so I
would have to rely on someone with vision to do all the playing around,
and nobody I know would even have the slightest clue how to do any of that
stuff.
Further more, I have absolutely no clue what a rade is or what its function
would be. I essencially want somebody to be able to put my system together,
I install JFW, and then everything will work together as harmoniously as
possible. I've got it narrowed down between 2 motherboards: the ABIT AB9
QuadGT and the Intel D975XBX2KR. I'm leaning towards the Abit board only
because it supports quad core processors, which tells me that if I ever
decide I need to upgrade again in a few years, I will be able to do so
without having to buy another motherboard. Has anyone had any experiences
with either of these motherboards or ones
that are comparable? Which of them is more likely to be compatible with
Jaws? As I've already indicated in my introduction,, I'm looking for
maximum
stability and responsiveness. So, if anyone could provide feedback with
regards to which of these two motherboards might be best suited for my
needs, I would really appreciate it. My other concern, which is probably
more relevant to JFW stability is
choosing the most appropriate video card.Does anyone have any
recommendations regarding any brands or models of video cards that work
really well with the latest version of JAWS Professional 8.0? Are there any
brands/models of video cards I should make
sure to avoid? Is ATI or Nvidia more compatible with JFW at this point?
Should I purchase a dx10 capable card, or can I get by with a significantly
less expensive option?
These are the only questions that I can think of at the moment, but I'd
really appreciate any and all feedback people might be able to provide.
This new system is going to be a huge investment for me, so I want to make
sure I'm only spending what is strictly necessary to build the best
computer system that I possibly can. Thank you all in advance for any
assistance you can provide, and I hope
that everyone is having a really great day!

Re: help neded

2007-03-08 Thread Brandon Hicks
Hi,
To do this here are the steps.
1: go into start, programs, accessories, entertainment, volume control.
Go to the options menu on the menu bar and select properties. Make sure
the mixer is the one you want, then tab to the adjust volume for radio
buttons. Select recording and select the source you want from the
updated dialog.
2. Start CDex.
3. Make sure that in the encoder options you have the one you intend to
use selected and the bitrates configured.
4. Go to the tools menu, record from analog input.
5. Tab through the settings, making sure everything is set the way you
want and the path is correct.
6. Press space bar on the record button.

JfW tech support advised me to get nvidia g force. If you're going to vista
in a couple of years, I'd get 2 gig of ram.

Think about at least a 400 watt power supply if you're doing a lot of heavy
lifting. There are web sites that sell quiet cases and fans for audio
recording. For the price you named, you can get two large hard drives and a
cd drive and video burner.

Pick your sound card carefully depending on your production work.

Just my opinion!
