loading books into voice dream

2014-06-23 Thread André van Deventer
Hi all

Will be using voice dream for mainly reading audio books which as you will
all know are large sometimes.

I’m finding it difficult to find information on how to actually import books
into the program.

It seems that you can do it via dropbox but then you must first upload the
books to dropbox which is not the problem. But then you must download the
books on your phone using the very expensive phone data. This will not work
for me.

I believe that you can actually import books from your computer onto the
iphone but I cannot get this to work. Under apps you can find voice dream
as an app into which you can import files. But under that there is
something called library. I have tried adding files in there but they do
not show up on the iphone. Perhaps someone can help.

This will really be the ideal programme for me if it will only work!!

Andre

You must connect your phone to the pc, then navigate to the apps
section in ITunes on your phone. In other words you must make sure the
apps radio button is selected, then tab til you get to the file
shairing section where you can find voicedream on the list of apps
wich allow for content to be dragged in via iTunes. Then you must
press on the add button and brouze for a file on your pc and add it
that way. After you done and you select add via ITunes from the app,
you will then see the files and you can select them all or specific
files and press done, and they should be imported. I'm not sure what
is the idea behind the library file, I guess it keep track of content
as you import them. But I'm not sure if that is exportable and
importable. If you add an audio book or a daisy book you must zip them
first.

Andre, are you listening to it via the internal speaker or attached to some

Is there some better kind of equalizer for the iphone available?

I found the treble and bass boost to be very ineffective. Is there some

It is called the URL Finder tool. It is built in within Replay Radio 9 and
Replay Media Catcher 5. At first, Replay Media Catcher 5 will appar
inaccessible to a blind computer user but it is not so. This is why I asked
you to contact me by email / Skype if necessary. If you want the direct URLs
of audio streams then try Replay Radio 9 instead and it is accessible and
much easier to use.

You can try the demo versions first. If you are asked to download a
certificate when running either program you can accept or say no. The
certificate is designed to help you with https: type streams.

With Replay Media Catcher 5 to start recording use alt+s
To stop recdording use alt+x

The program is very powerful.

Sometimes restarting your screen reader would solve the problem,
otherwise, a way to work around this is to Try to use your read current
line command after each movement of the up and down arrows. Sometimes
both screen readers act weird not reading whatever item that gains focus
but if you read the current line, you might get what you want. Also, if
that doesn't work, after you change selection with your up and down
arrows, tab away from that comboBox and shift tab back to it. It might
solve your problem as well.

Hope that helps!

CDEx doesn't use Gracenote by default, you have to install a different
program called player which you can find on the gracenote site and this will
allow you to export information from Gracenote to CDEx and, yes, this still
works fine. GraceNote is far better than FreeCDDB, but both still exist and
Gracenote complements the former.

Take care

CDEx doesn't use Gracenote by default, you have to install a different
program called player which you can find on the gracenote site and this will
allow you to export information from Gracenote to CDEx and, yes, this still
works fine. GraceNote is far better than FreeCDDB, but both still exist and

Sunshine -- The JAWS scripts work with the Spotify software application. I
tried them a year ago and for me they were not that useable on my machine.
They seem to work for some Ok and others not so ok. The guy that developed
the scripts was updating them as late as a month ago. He seems very willing
to work with folks to get his scripts to work with JAWS and Spotify. At
least that was the impression that I got from the list he has for those
scripts.

I have an IPod and the Spotify app works well on that device, so I never
pursued the JAWS scripts any further.

Hi.

I have some mp3 files that do not have any information for tagging.
They're

Track 1, and the like. I'm looking for something like the Winamp Auto
tagger, which would tag these files. I've heard that Mp3 Tag will do
this,

but I think the files need to have some basic information in them to be
tagged, and the files I have don't have anything in them.

Thanks in advance for any info.

The best program for this is MP3 Tag Studio, made by Magnus Brading. It's very

The first box under Remote CDDB, I have is for Freed not Gracenote In my
case, it's been pulling down the track information without a problem. There
are generally several options in that first entry under Remote CDDB. Try

Okay...as I see it, Gracenote isn't having anything to do with CDEX's Remote
CBBB (if I'm saying that right) now I'm not sure of what should be checked

But will maybe tackle it again tomorrow; would like to continue using CDEX

isn't as simple like it used to be!

...get a programme there that's called Player, download it, install it.
This very blindfriendly program will let you grab the information from
Gracenote, then you could either rip to wav or ogg or export the information
in the player.ini from which cdex is able to read it so you can also rip
into whatever formats cdex supports, i.e. mp3.
