Checking Streaming settings and finding Localhost and Dynamic IP web link

2006-09-24 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I have a shoutcast server on my system and use the shoutcast plug-in with
winamp to stream my radio station.

I don't know why, but lately, once I chose my plug-in (Shoutcast Plug-in), set
winamp to playing, connect to the server by pressing the connect button on the
plug-in via the sys tray, and go to my web site to look for the status of my
station, strang things happen. I cannot log onto the localhost system to see
whether or not the station is public or not. Maybe I am putting the wrong
data, but I don't think so. also, when I go to my web site and click on the
link with the dynamic ip address, where the station use to play, I cannot find
it either.

To check the status of my server, I type: http://localhost:8000/index.html.
The system says Cannot find
Server and the usual junk that it does when a web site cannot be found.

Likewise, when I go to the link on my web site that plays the station or type
in the url myself, http://jarmusicbox.audio-stream.net:8000/listen.pls, the
same cannot find server, message comes up.

I check the plug-in and everything is set properly.

I have a commercial shoutcast server and the same problem does not come up.

When I check internet connections, under the Local Connection (Network (in
control panel), I get the message about weak or no connection and Windows asks
me if it should try to repair it. the system says No IP address was given to
this computer. How could this be?

Any help on this issue would be very much appreciated.

Question about Bit Rates in Streaming

2006-09-23 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I notice that, since I put my internet radio station streaming rate at
128kb/44, I have gotten some drop out when I play the station through my
internet link on my web site and my friend got the same thing. Sounds great,
but drops out for a short period of time.

When you hear or stream the station through my internet link, the music is
played in Real Player. I'm thinking that, maybe, I have Real Player's
connection rate too high. I have it set at DSL/Cable 256-750+ (different
times). The maximum is set the same. Should I chose 56.6kps, even though I
have a DSL connection? I think Real Player's choices go up to T1 or so.

Also, what should I have the setting for a 128k stream? I currently have the
Encoder set at 128k/44. stereo. Is this correct? If not, what should it be?

[PC-Audio] Streaming at 128kA

2006-09-13 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I have a 128k internet station; however, I can only stream at 56k using the
Shoutcast Winamp Plug-in. I also own the Sam Encoder Plug-in. I am using the
legacy mp3 configuration, which means I can again only stream at 56k. I think
the Sam Encoder can stream higher, but I am not sure how to do it.

Are there other encoders that work like the Shoutcast Server and/or Sam encoder
that allows you to stream at 128k or high bit rates? If so, do let me know
what one it is and how to find it? If Sam Encoders can do it, describe how to
do it.

New Memorex DVD/CD Dual Layer Burner and Not Playing .CDA Filesjr

2006-09-11 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I recently purchased an external Sony DVD/CD Dual Layer Burner. The device
plays all sorts of files and formats it seems, except .CDA files when Real
Player is the default player. I actually returned the Sony player and picked
up a Memorex Brand burner of the same kind. The Memorex brand burner is a
firewire/USB type and cost a little more, about 40 bucks more. Well, I brought
it home, hooked it up, and gave it a try. The same thing happens with
it--refuses to play .CDA files. I figure it wasn't the Sony burner, but the
player. I like the memorex brand player because it is faster and has a
firewire connection.

I am, however, perplexed about why the player will not play .CDA files in Real
Player.

You know, when I put the same disc in my regular old system (PC) Panosonic
DVD/CD burner, it works just fine. I don't get it at all. Yet, if I switch my
default burners to Winamp, Windows Media Player, Sonic Player, Nero Player, or
any other (except Real Player), the burner recognizes and plays those .CDA
files. The person at Sony Support did tell me that the burner does not work
with Nero 7, due to certain drivers and they ship it with Nero 6. The Memorex
Burner also came with Nero 6 and a Memorex Suite of programs, presumably
burning software, but I don know for sure because I haven't installed anything
from the disk.

.CDA files are found on my regular audio disks that I burned over the years.
I never knew anything about CDA files, but when I check my CD's (the ones
recorded in WAV Format, they all seem to have this extension. I only can
recall seing DA extensions.

Now, is there something in Real Plahyer that the new drive doesn't recognize?
Why would Real Player say, No recognizable music type to play, when I am
using the new memorex drive, but play it just fine when I put the disc in
another drive? I always thought Real Player was the bomb when it comes to
players and will play anything. It is my default and most used player.

I'd appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this topic. I now kind
of wanted to keep that Sony drive, as all of my other drives on my custom-built
system are Sonies. One more thing, the Sony burner had a RAM format, along
with Plus and Minus formats. I only see Plus and Minus on the Memorex but it
accepts RAM discs so it must be hidden somewhere in the apaperwork.

thanks for your help and listening.

Setting Up internet stations on Web Site

Hello Steve!

In your response to my question about setting up internet stations on a web
site, you mentioned a service provided by a guy name Jeff Harris, the Ultra

Setting up internet Radio Station, with Shoutcast, Ice Cast, and other servers on personal web site o

2006-09-09 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I hope this is not too farfetched or outrageous, but I would like to know if I
could put my internet radio station on one of my personal web sites (a
Startlogic Web Site of 15 Gigs in size). I was wondering if I could upload my
Shoutcast, Icecast, Windows Media, or Simplecast or even a Real Server to my
web site and install them up there intheir respective Program Files directory
and subdirectories? I figure they do it on Audiorealm and Streammadness and
others, so why can't I do the same. I contacted Startlogic and they told me I
have something like 250 k of bandwidth on my web site. I actually have
purchased four 15 gig web sites over the years and two of them are pretty much
empty. How would I play my music from my computer through my web site. I
should be able to use all of that bandwidth for something. I am sure I could
connect my music folder through a plug-in to the sites, with the proper links.
The reason I am considering this move is because I tried to use Spacialnet's
streaming service, but just couldn't get it set up and they are a bit slow in
providing tech support to me. They did actually set up the account, but I
can't gain access to the server file to configure it. It is just too much
trouble for me to deal with sites that don't work or freeze when I use them.
therefore, I am going to try to do it myself. I just want to know from you
experts on technology and audio whether or not I can do it relatively cheap.

Also, am I correct in believeing that web sites are set up pretty much like
regular PC systems, with directories, etc. and all I have to do is know how to
do folders and links? I hope so.

Anyway, I figure I can dedicate one 15 gig web site to a station or two if this
is permissible. I asked Startlogic and they said it is possible to do and I
can put anything I want up there that is proper and legal. I would think those
services like For-The-People, VIPconduit, and Audio Tips use separate web sites
for their chat service and they allow audio through them too. I am just
curious and interested.

One final thing on the question: Now, I'd like to use separate servers and
plug-ins for each station that I use--if I decide to have two or three. How do
I get multiple copies of the Shoutcast Server? They mention you can copy the
file to another one and rename it. What would I name a second Shoutcast
Server? Could I just add 2 or b to the normal name.

Also, would this be the same with the Shoutcast or Sam Encoder Plug-ins. I
realize you can install or setup multiple servers with Sam Encoders and with
the latest Shoutcast Plug-in. With the Shoutcast Plug-in (being I use the
older version), could I just copy the file to another name and save it as often
as I need to? A separate Shoutcast Plug-in for each station: Right or Wrong?

Thanks for listening to my plan and giving me your support and information.

Multiple Shoutcast Servers, Plug-ins, and Internet Streaming Accounts

2006-09-06 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello guys!

On my system, there is currently a Shoutcast Server and my radio station is run
through Winamp, with the Shoutcast Plug-in and a Sam Encoder Plug-in. Lately,
I decided to subscribe to one of the Streaming Servers for more band width. I
still plan to keep my onboard station and play it from time to time. My
question deals with setting up the streaming service account, Spacialnet.

Now, I'll be using a shoutcast server on their service, 40 listeners at 64k.
Now with connecting to the service. The server is on their web site, a
Shoutcast Server. If I use my Sam Encoder, can I setup connection streams with
the same plug-in? I see Sam Encoder has a new button and it apparently allows
multiple accounts. Can I just switch back and forth between each stream,
Spacialnet and my own, just by selecting Sam Encoder accounts?

Also, can I use the Shoutcast Plug-in for both accounts? For example, I don't
want to have to go in and type new stuff each time I use the Shoutcast Server.
I would just like to go to preferences in Winamp and choose the plug-in I want
to broadcast with. Would I have to have multiple occurrences of the Shoutcast
Plug-in in Winamp DSP area or can you use one as Sam Encoder does? If you must
use two, would I just copy one to a empty folder, rename the file and put it
back in Winamp plug-ins folder--thereby having two Shoutcast Plug-ins in the
same folder. I see that the new Shoutcast Plug-in has the capability of having
multiple accounts, but I found the new plug-in too difficult to use and
returned to the old one.

I guess I am working towards getting two streams going at the same time, but I
want each one to work independently first; then I can switch back and forth
between the two.

Also, when it comes to ports, do I use Port 8000 for the spacialnet shoutcast
server as well or would they have a different one.

then, could you check out the system by typing in the
http://localhost:/index.html link or type in your ip address, like
http://ip address:8/listen.pls?

Also, could I use the same DNS2go ip tracker for both accounts?

Thanks for indulging me in my many questions.

External Sony USB Drive and File Typesr

2006-09-05 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I purchased a Sony 16-speed external drive from Office Depot today. I's four
times as fast as my old Dru DVD burner.

Well, first of all, I just plugged it in and it said it was installed and ready
to use. I didn't use the disk that came with it, as this disk had Nero on it
and I already had a later version of Nero installed. I didn't see any special
program for the Drive. Was I suppose to install any type drivers. I didn't
see any.

Now the drive is listed on the drivelist as a Sony RAM Drive. What does this
mean? I had a choice of getting a Memorex with the same spects, but I am not
sure whether or not the memorex said RAM or not though.

Now this drive says something about being a double layered drive. What is
this. Should I take it back and get a different one. It cost 79 bucks after
20 buck mail-in rebate.

Could my computer system be too old for this drive. It shouldn't be though. I
have a Sony Vaio system with a Doul Chip, with one gig of RAM. I am running
Windows XP Media edition (Home) and JAWS 5.1. Do I need to update drivers or
something?

Now, I play an MP3 or WAV in my system DVD drive (CD Or DVD) and the music
plays like a top; then I put the same disk in the new sony drive and it
sometimes says No playable clips were found. This is only in Real Player.
Now I can go to Winamp or Windows Media Player and click on the DVD/CD Player
and the songs play well--with no problems.

I tried to set MP3 to play in Real Player, Winamp, and WMP and gave each player
a chance at playing DVD's and CD's, and the same thing happens--plays when I
click on Winamp and WMP, but Real Player says no playable clips found and
sometimes asks me to insert a disk. I did not install INCD either.

Did I get ahead of myself this time. 99 bucks is a small amount of money for
such a fast DVD burner. Or has time passed me by and this is an older one?
Again, it is a RAM CD/DVD Drive. Tell me about this one.

Professional Broadcast Headset

2006-08-30 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List,

I would like to get a suggestion for a professional broadcast stereo
headset--one that allows one to hear sounds in stereo, an input from a producer
to give instructions to broadcaster, and, of course a microphone setup and a
telephone set up, where you can hear it all. I want the kind of thing they use
during ball game broadcasts that goes on your head with all sorts of controls.
I want to use it to broadcast on my radio station and use it to do some music
editing. I guess I want it all.

Just give me an idea of a few good ones that I can check out.

Thanks,

Talking On radio

2006-08-30 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello list!

Now that I have figured out how to broadcast and use servers and plug-ins
somewhat, I want to do some talking on air. I know some people do it using
Winamp and other programs (Otsdj and Sam Broadcaster or Station Playlist). I
want to do it live. Where do I go. I hear Mike Smith and Wayne and the other

Got Sam Encoders Figured Out

2006-08-27 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

Well, after doing a few uninstalls and reinstalls, I got the Sam Encoders
figured out. Maybe it is my system (Windows Media Edition) and Version of
JAWS, but the only thing I had to do is check Pipeline instead of Sound Card.
Also, my MP3 files are played in Real Player and they still play on my
station. Also all of the features (Start, Stop, Start All, and Stop All) work.
Now that I got that figured out, I can use either Shoutcast Plug-in or Sam
Encoders. Now I must go on to talking on air. Hopefully that won't be as big
a deal as this one seemed to be.

One final thing, I still cannot figure out why software producers have to make
their product so unaccessible sometimes. For example, for what it does, the
Sam Encoder could be just as accessible as the Shoutcast Plug-in.

Thanks again for your help. It really helps to have so many willing and
helpful people out there whenever we newcomers to the field need help.

Sam Encoders VS Shoutcast Plug-In

2006-08-25 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

Thanks for your tutorials and info on Sam Encoders. You know I followed your
steps and have installed, uninstalled, and re-installed this plug-in several
times; yet it seems to be trying its best to frustrate me. I had my friend try
my station down in South Carolina; I'm in California; he could get the link,
but only the text info about the song through Real Player--no sound at all.

Yet, when I fired up my shoutcast plug-in, the station works like a top. Maybe
this is a problem. I have my MP3, M3u and PLS files played through Real
Player. Could this be a problem, as whenever I open up my web site, it is
played through Real player. I am broadcasting with winamp. I have the same
thing with the shoutcast server and it plays PLS and all files the same.

Could I be setting something up wrong. Everything sounds the same.

Maybe it's my system. It's a Sony vios, with Windows Media Edition. I am
using JAWS 51 still. This media edition has caused me some trouble in the past.

Sam Encoders

2006-08-25 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

You know, I went through the process of installing Sam Encoders into Winamp. I
followed all instructions and it is installed. Yet, my start and stop buttons
say Not available, but start all and stop all are available. I can't see
it. The very first time I installed the plug in, it worked properly, but no
further.

Now, I have Real Player play MP3's on my system. Winamp is not my default for
anything. the same encoder is a winamp program. Could it not be playing
through real player because of that.

I had a friend listen in south carolina. He heard the station fine when I used
the shoutcast plug-in, but when I fired up the sam encoder, all he and I ever
get is text with the songs currently playing being seen, but no sound. Do I
need to change something in winamp or my file types in either real player or
winamp for the sam encoder program to work? I am convinced the program is
installed properly. It has all of the settings, but no sound comes out. It
says real player and talks about the songs like real player does, but no a
sound is heard. Why would shoutcast play and sam encoders not?

Thanks for your help. I am lost. It may be my Sony Viao Duel chip Pc and the
Windows Media edition (home). Could this be a problem?

Take care,

Sam encoders and Winamp

2006-08-24 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I recently purchased the Sam Encoder Bundle and installed it into Winamp. Now,
I can't seem to get the program to work properly. I set up the program
(configered it), but when I try to connect to the net with it through Winamp,
the start button and stop buttons are always unavailable. I go to preferences
in winamp, select dsp and the particular encoder I want; then start playing
songs in winamp, but I cannot connect through the Sam Encoders. I can,
however, connect to my server through the shoutcast plug-in. I listened to
Toonhead's program on the Sam Encoder. Once I set it up, it has not worked for
me. I'd appreciate some help with it.

Also, I did download and install the latest Shoutcast Plug-in. It too gave me
some trouble and is not as usable as the old one or maybe I just don't have it
yet.

Help with the Sam Encoder would be very much appreciated.

Sam Encoder and Plug-In; Shoutcast Servers and Shoutcast Plug-in; and which one to use and how

2006-08-20 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I am currently using the Shoutcast Server and Plug-in with my Winamp program
that I use when broadcasting on my internet radio station.

Lately, I purchased the Sam Plug-in. My questin is: How do I set this plug-in
up? Is it the same as the shoutcast plug-in? Once it is installed, do I have
a choice of which ones to use, the sam plug-in or shoutcast plug-in?

Also, how about servers? Could I install a Windows Media Server and Shoutcast
Server and use either with the plug-ins or both? What is the process to follow
in this?

Also, give me ideas on other servers if you wish.

Finally, which is more convenient to use: Shoutcast Servers or a server from a

Nero and Roxio Working together

2006-07-19 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I have had Roxio's Easy CD-DVD Creator 6 and Easy Media Creator 7 on my system
for quite a while. Recently, I installed Nero 7. In the past with Nero, there
was always a separate installation program for INCD, but this time I saw none;
therefore, I am not sure if it installed InCD or not. Now I think Roxio uses
Direct X or some sort of packet writing program. Both programs seem to
record/burn CD/DVD's. Sometimes though, when I try to use my Windows Media
Edition PC to burn CD's with Roxio products, I get errors. Then when I tried
to burn an Audible file, I get the error of Audible can't determine which
burning method to use. What are they talking about?

If I was suppose to not install INCD, tell me what to do about removing it
without removing nero. I like using Nero and use to use Roxio and Nero on the
same machine. Has anything changed? Does Nero know not to install Incd when I
already have a roxio product there? It didn't ask and I certainly don't recall
ever seeing it or telling Nero to go ahead. What should I do?

Selecting Tracks (songs) in Nero 7

2006-07-05 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

How does one select tunes to be burned onto a CD or DVD in Nero 7. For
example, in Roxio Easy CD-DVD Creator, one goes to the list of MP3's or WAV
files; then highlight one or all and then type CTRL-T and the tunes move to the
lay-out. How is this done in Nero. I can get to the list of tunes, but I
can't put them onto a layout. I tried CTRL-d, but nothing. There is a
shortcut key, but I can't find it. I would like a brief tutorial on the
following: Selecting the type of compilation I want--CD or DVD; chosing the
type of CD I want to burn; then selecting the tunes after finding or locating
them; and then getting the CD to burn.

2006-07-03 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello Guys!

I recently purchased Nero 7 Ultra V7232 English no YTB. Each time I try to
install it, it comes up with a German installation screen. Now, I downloaded
the English only version. The problem is compounded by the fact that, during
the initial stage, it uninstalled or removed version 6. Now, the agreement is
in English, but then it switches to German. I decided to reinstall Nero 6 and
the same thing happened, German installation program. I am wondering if this
has something to do with JAWS 5.1 and Windows XP Media Edition. This has not
happened with my Windows XP Professional and any software.

I emailed Nero Support and got a response back from Germany instructing me to
open Nero Smart Start and changing the option to english. I wonder how UI can
do this prior to installing the program. I want to get through the install
program.

Has anyone else had this problem? I am not sure if it is a Nero problem or a
JAWS issue at this point. Can anyone shed light on this one?

Thanks for your help.

Nero 7 and 6 Installations (No English Installation Instructions)

2006-07-02 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

Recently I purchased Nero 7 Ultra (the English Only version with no Yahoo Tool
Bar). I also have Nero 6. No matter which version I try to install, II can't
get anywhere because of the instructions being in German (I think). I got a
link from someone on this list and installed it from the link. The same thing
happens each time I try to install Nero now. I first get the Nero agreement in
English. Then, when it comes to starting the installation, it is in German. I
can't understand jthis at all. I should tell you that I am using Windows XP
(Media Edition), with JAWS 5.1 Professional. I've had trouble previously with
installing stuff on this Media Version. I have never been able to get
Windoweyes to install.

Could Nero and JAWS be conflicting somehow? Has anyone else had any problems
with this Nero installation? I will try to install it on an Windows XP Pro
machine and see if it works any better.

First of all though, I'd like to know why this Nero program keeps coming up in
German and why even version 6 is hving the same issue. Am I missing something?
Is there some kind of button to click to get English. I thought my verson was
an English version.

Perplexed and needs help.

Using the Microphone feature of the Shoutcast Plug-in and Shoutcast Server.

2006-06-17 Thread Jardata Mail Services
I have set up my radio station through the Shoutcast Server/Winamp Plug-in.
Now, how do I talk on my station as well? I can play music fine, but I haven't
figured out how to be a dj through winamp V22 and the Shoutcast Plug-in. A
short tutorial on this would be fine.

thanks.

Soundforge Tutorial Availability

2006-05-28 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello Allison!

My asking for the availability of the Soundforge tutorial was not to get it
free. If you remember, I asked about its availability from the FS web site.
Of course, I would be grateful to anyone who could provide me with a free copy
of it. If it is no longer being sold by its rightful owner, then the owner
probably would not mind if it is shared by someone who actually owns one. I
would never try to hoodwink my buddy Jonathan out of commission.

Soundforge Tutorial By Mosen For FS

2006-05-27 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I have tried for a while to find the old Soundforge tutorial done for FS by
Jonathan Mosen a few years back. I think it was for Soundforge 4 or 5. Does
anyone know how I could get a copy of this tutorial. I know SF is up to seven
or eight, but the tutorial by Mosen should still be good to use.

Setting up internet radio Servers on Web site

2006-05-20 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I currently have a shoutcast server and plug in on my system and use Winamp
and/or OTSDJ as my broadcasting program. I have a static IP address through
Dearfield. Well, the other day, I logged onto my station and let it run while
I was at work. I work for a state agency and they have all internet radio and
television sites blocked, meaning I cannot access my internet station at work.

Strangely enough though, I can access regular radio stations, such as KFI AM,
KABC AM, and regular FM stations around the country. My agency seems to have
blocks anything with the word Audio in it. Is there a way around this delima?

Secondly: With Winamp, Real Player, or Windows Media Player, or OTSDJ, can
they be installed on a web site and can the servers (Shoutcast) be set up on
the site. How would one get the music from one's harddrive to the players. If
this could be done, could the station play all day without worry?

I see regular radio stations with their web sites and play ability. Am I
whistling dixie or can I set up my radio station on one of my web sites and
access it from my desktop? Furthermore, can I give my station a regular link,
such as a www.xxx.com/listen.pls and have people link to it without setting off
their agencies filter brush? I can link to KISS FM at work, but not my own
radio station. Why?

Thanks for your help and responses.

Soundforge Tyutorials (Mosen's or Hartgen's)and

2006-04-14 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I recently acquired Soundforge 8. Now, I need to find tutorials to show me how
to use it. I heard of one done by Jonathan Mosen and another two-part tutorial
done by Brian Hartgen. I tried to find Mosen's Soundforge tutorial on Freedom
Scientific's web site, but could not find it (the link to it is invalid). I
think Hartgen's is sold out of England. Does anyone have anyidea how I could
get copies of these tutorials for not too great a price? If so, please
contact me off-list at my listed email address. It would be nice if I could
download any tutorial from the internet. There are so many questions that I
have that I should study it first and then go to a list for help.

Also, if there is a Soundforge list, do give me the sign-up email address.

What are the links to checkout or download DVD Audio Extractor and AnyDVD? Are
these programs shareware and/or downloadable. Are they anything like Easy CD
Extractor (Poikosoft) in functioning?

2006-03-09 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I have a Real Music Store subscription and have purchased songs through it. I
have the plus player and they say I can burn my purchases to CD. I have tried,
but find it difficult getting to the various commands or shortcuts. If
possible, could some out there, who has used this product to burn CD's, give me
the steps, using JAWS, to best record my music to disc.

thanks very much for your help.

Getting Rid of the Nero Wizzard

2004-09-16 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Dear List!

How do you turn off the Nero Wizzard in Version 6. In one version, you did it in the
Help Menu. I cannot find it there now. I would like to use the regular menus and not
the wizzard.

Copying a CD in NeroB

2004-09-12 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

I want to make an exact copy of a CD in Nero. Each time I check or click on the copy
cd button, I get an image of the disk and then it copies in the same drive.

For example, I have two sony drives on my system (a Sony CRs80 CD/Combo Drive and a
Sony DVD/CD recorder). I want to put my source disc in CD Drive F (the CD/DVD Combo
player/recorder) and have it copied to my Sony DVD Drive (drive g).

I don't see an option for source drive and target drive. Where is this found?

About Easy Media Creator 7

2004-08-07 Thread Jardata Mail Services
Hello List!

Has anyone tried Easy Media Creator 7 and, if so, how is it? I installed it
previously, but never could get it to show up with my screen reader because of some
focus problem. It is supposed to be like version six, but something seems to be
changed in the display or colors or something, as I had no success with it. If anyone
has successfully used it, I'd like to know how.

Also, with Easy CD/DVD Creator 6 Platinum, I seem to have considerable trouble with
direct copy. It doesn't seem to want to work. I do, however, get it to work (the
burn feature shows up) every now and then, but it is hit and miss. What am I doing
wrong? To get around this, I use Recordnow DX (from my Sony Dru 510 burner disc).
With that program, I can burn a direct copy or anything with no trouble. I am using
Direct CD from Roxio and thus have no conflict with the other packet systems.

Well, thanks again for your help.
