looking for an accessible program

2007-07-01 Thread Melissa Tucker
Looking for an accessible program that would allow me to play and/or convert
flac, shn or ape to mp3 files, or the other way around. I found a dc+ hub that
only shares these type of files and for some reason they only allow the sharing
of live music, and it must be in these formats. any help would be appreciated.

Originally, I was sharing about 121 gb but decreased it down to 65-66 gb to
see if that would work, and it didn't. I think I found the problem, but
will know for sure tomorrow morning.

don't know the accessibility of this player yet, just got it yesterday. Any

Hi Juan.
If you have the CD and those tracks are contiguous then you can use CDEX
to
rip them into a single track. Simply select the tracks you want to be
joined and then use function key F11 to start the rip rather than the
usual
F8 or F9.

Try hitting your right mouse button on the file instead of entering on the
file name. After hitting the right mouse button, error down until you hear

Re: Possible Windows Media Problem?

2005-04-23 Thread Melissa Tucker
Here's an idea for Tom or anyone else with this problem. There is a page on
billsparks.org that has links to a lot of links for country music. One of
them is a link that if you hit your right click button, you can download a
playlist for wsmonline, put it in your list of playlists, and the enter on
that specific play list. That would make it easier to get in and out of
wsmonline, but it doesn't solve the problem of it cutting out so much. I'm
going to try another station with windows media and see if it does the same
thing. Windows media has always been my favorite player, and I don't know
what has happened.

It may well be a "WSM" problem; I listened to one of the Baltimore radio

pretty well; had them on for close to an hour before it stopped. But I
was
able to get it going by simply closing it out; then going back in; it's
not
quite that simple with WSM! If anyone can tell us what's going on, I for

couldn't play it because the server was busy. I should add, here, that I

be
no way to solve this problem; am currently running an HP Pavillon with an

But I need to know iff there's anything I can do to stop the stream from
breaking up in the meantime? Thanks in advance.

Hi Doug and everybody,
As a seasoned peer-to-peer user, I can tell you that I downloaded tons
and
tons of great music from original Napster, Morpheus, Winmx and Emule.
They
all worked (and Winmx and Emule still work) extremely well, and they are
a
great choice if you want something right here and right now. Both rare
and
mainstream music can be found rather easily.

If you do prefer subscription sites though, I'd suggest
www.emusic.com/
They have an excellent collection and reasonable prices.
You might also like to have a look at my own webpage,
http://www.cd-master.ru/eng.htm
where I offer a lot of interesting music at flexible pricing.
Very best regards,
Denis

I think the only way you can convert files using Cd exe is from disk to
computer. Perhaps, a more seasoned operator might know otherwise

Someone has told me I can convert files on my computer by using cdex. Is
this true? I thought cdex was used for taking tracks off c.d.'s but I
didn't think you could use it to go into, say, your music folder and
convert wma's or wavs to mp3's. If you can convert these files how do
you do it? I'm looking at the help but don't find anything related to
converting individual files already stored in your system. Thanks for
any help.

You don't need a telephone to use Skype, just your computer, speakers,,

I'm new to Skype because I haven't had time to mess with it before. I
never followed the conversations about it. Is this a program that you
have to use
your actual telephone for, or is this something that is done via cable
modem? I have high speed access, and I don't think my computer is
currently connected
to the telephone line. So if I don't need to use the telephone line, this
would be great.

Oh boy here we go. Go to accessories, entertainment then volume control.
Make sure the microfone button to mute it is unchecked. Then go to alt up
arrow then properties. Then go to record and arrow to microphone. Then hit
the advanced button and check that one choice.

When I insert a music disk in my e drive, which is the cd player, not
the burner, nothing happens. I try to open the folder to see if the
drive reads the disk, and I am asked to insert a cd in the drive, which
I already have. I've made an attempt to trouble shoot, and go into
properties to see what I can do, and it says it is working properly.
I'm using windows xp pro. I have no idea of what cd drives are in the
computer. Any help is appreciated.

melissa you will have to go to the site and download the .hex firmware
program. YOu will place the firmware.hex in the route directory of the
iriver and then you will access the players menu and update the firmware.
There is a menu option for updating the firmware and this update pulls
from
the hex file in your route directory.

two mp3 questions

Is the Roxio mp3 encoder program accessible with JFW? I had to register my Easy cd

free offer. I want to know if any one has used this before I install it. Also, I'm
using windows explorer to copy mp3s from a disk to my hard drive, and it never
finishes the complete disk. Before it finishes, I get a message "cannot copy filename

problem creating mp3s from cd

2004-09-28 Thread Melissa Tucker
A couple of weeks ago, my computer crashed. Before that, I was using Roxio Easy CD &
DVD version 6, and was easily able to use media explorer to find tracks
on cds, and put them on the hard drive to add to an mp3 player. Well, now that I
have gotten my computer fixed, and some of my stuff got moved around.
I can't seem to find my Easy CD creator 6 software. I've tried to use CDEX for this,
but some of the settings the program requests, I'm not familiar
with. Is There a program that will allow me to do this that is just as good as Roxio,
or is there a trial version of the program I can get until I find
my registered copy?
I understand that some people have had trouble with this new Premier Cd Creator as
well, so I don't want to try that again. That might have been my
problem before the computer crashed. Any info on this (EMAILED) to me would be
appreciated.

easy to create play lists, or would I be better off downloading the tracks I
