Thanks to all of you I did it and called the C Crane company and ordered one yesterday. I should be receiving it next Wednesday!! I'm sooo excited! I will be free to roam around with out missing a single thing. I have a radio in nearly every room of the house and I have a walkman radio, so I am totally FREE!!! I can't thank you guys enough for the info on this. If it is even half as good as you guys think it is I'll be tickled pink. The next stop is Radio Shack for the Y splitter and I am all hooked up! I have a tiny apartment so I may not have to mess with the power screw but, it is nice to know that it is there if I do have to boost it a bit. Hi, The c crane transmitter is available for $69, I believe, and you can reach them at: 800-522-8863. Their unit is easy to use and covers my entire house. You can also use it in an automobile to hear books or music through the car radio. It works with anything that has an earphone jack. I like mine so much I bought a spare. Hi, The screw boosts the output power. You may not need to tinker with it if the unit works well enough for your needs. I like to go out side with a radio on the nice sunny summer days, so I cranked it up. Hi, I would suppose that plugging it into the headphone jack would turn off the speakers, if plugging headphones in does, so your best bet would be a simple y connector, of which others have written. I love the unit and use it every day. I have xm radio in my computer, so I transmit that, I play all my music that way now, making the cd's as obsolete as they themselves made the turntable. Shannon: I haven't really experienced it yet. But from what I'm hearing, this screw will help the transmitter to have more distance, thus, the freequency can be heard from a radio farther away. Shannon: The product that you're most likely looking for is an FM transmitter; I'm not sure of the exact name. But they can be gotten from the C-Crane company. You'd think that..as many times as I've heard their phone number..that I'd know it by heart! But alas..I can't think of it right at the moment! But I'll give it a try; first..don't feel bad about..if you don't know where you plug things in; I'm still not sure of where the =speakers are plugged in..and I need to figure that out so I can try out my FM transmitter! As for whether plugging the device to your headphone jack on the speaker..causing you to lose sound in the speakers..I can't say; my speakers don't have a headphone jack. Thanks Tom, That is kind of what I was thinking too. That I may need a new card so I'll have two outs from it. I want my cake and eat it too. I want to listen away from my computer and I want to still be able to hear it in the room with it. Picky, huh! I know that if I put head phones in the ear phone jack the speakers don't transmit sound anymore. That is what I think will happen with this unless it is different from a set of head phones.
