The web page for the course includes all assignments, my notes, schedule and a

One thing I wrote as an example for the students in the class was a color
tracker which could track primary colors. I

primary colors can all be tracked in Gem. Maybe it's obvious but in case it's

Re: [PD] pduino patch help

2012-05-07 Thread olsen

Ej Drake

you've to put the arduino.pd abstraction and all other patches you're refering within the same folder where you saved
your patch. Another problemo is your patch is refering to [arduino] and [Arduino] - notice the upper and the lower case
- guess it should be lowercase [arduino] only! the argument within the [arduino] in your case f.e. [arduino 1] is the
port that will be opened by loading the patch. You can get the info aboutthe availiable ports by sending a [devices(
message to the [arduino] and/or reading the arduino-help.pd.

btw the pduino rewrite by roman & myself might make your life easier as it provides a more graphical approach for pduino
called arduino-gui.pd - you'll find it here https://github.com/reduzent/pduino

i guess it's a firmata peculiarity that you've explicit have to enable
the analog pins as in arduino they are enabled by default - but correct
me if i'm wrong.

Yes, I guess what you have to explicitly enable is to have the firmware _send_
the values to the computer. It would be
undesirable to have a constant flood of values of all pins whether you use them
or not.

jep right so with firmata the analogIns have to be enabled explicitly to use
them. i think the (optional) comment
somehow makes it ambiguous. as told i'll try to consider this in the
improvements we're working on!

indeed i didn't download the correct firmware - one correct way to get it is
this command:

& then you might wanna check the md5sum with

You can get those devicenames by doing "ls /dev/ttyU*", which will give you
something like /dev/ttyUSB0 and
/dev/ttyUSB1, representing the two arduino's.
(under the assumption that the newer arduino models still work the same way.)

[PD] pduino rewrite

2011-09-02 Thread olsen

buenas tutti

roman & me did some rewrite on the pduino - citing the README:

Pduino - improved
-

All Pd patches are based on the official Pduino (version 0.5beta8)
maintained by Hans-Christoph Steiner.

The goals of the improvements are:

  * Get rid of avoidable dependencies on other external/abstraction
libraries

  * Update help- and test-patches in accordance to current Firmata

  * Create 'intuitive' and easy-to-understand GOP abstraction

Dependencies:

  * comport

  * pdstring library from moocow

you'll find the patches here:
https://github.com/reduzent/pduino

the GOP-abstraction is still in tango alpha state aka not useable at all.
so basically arduino.pd & arduino-help.pd should be of interest. as they went thru some changes - most important the
dependencies are reduce to the minimum.

check it out & report

[PD] pd-vanilla on gumstix overo with ubuntu 11.04 hangs with watchdog: signaling pd...

2011-08-02 Thread olsen

Hi
i compiled Pd-0.43.0 on a gumstix overo running ubuntu 11.04 armel distro.
I patches the sources as stated in this thread:
http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2011-04/088163.html
but starting pd releases the watchdog from the doghouse resulting in a stagnancy of
"watchdog: signaling pd..." messages.
i also tried the -noaudio option or -nogui option and pd-0.42-6 but all the
same result...
due to my research the watchdog thing has something to do with cpu consumption though as there's no dsp happening yet i
don't know how to convince pd not to use that much cpu - or is there any configure option for arm processor that i missed?

similar settings on the angström distro works out but there're other non pd
things missing.

any hint welcome

2011/6/17 Roman Haefeli mailto:reduz...@gmail.com>>

Hi Pierre

Actually, I wouldn't connect the piezos to an arduino, but to a sound
card, because the piezos will likely give very very short spikes and the
sampling rate of the analogIns of the arduino is quite low (don't know
the exact value) compared to the sampling rate of a common sound card.
Also, you have more control in Pd to build a trigger detection filter
then on the arduino. Also you would likely get much lower latency with a
good audio setup than with the atmega->ftdi->usb->comport path. Also
when using the soundcard, the latency is constant, while you would have
glitches with the arduino.

I'd be glad to hear other opinions, though, since my thoughts are purely
theoretical. I haven't implemented a piezo-based trigger, neither with
sound card nor arduino.

Which one???

Not the one that is distributed together with [arduino] and [arduino-test] at

yo it's in Pduino-0.5beta8 linked on this page

in the last subpatch [pd SWITCHING-INPUTS] you'll find the apropriate

There I find the same analogIns messages that are supposed to be the old ones
(but are the only ones I've found that
work for analog pins with the latest version of Firmata)
jep i agree they're the same - i think it's a matter of wrong denotation so due to my knowledge there's nothing like old
and newer messages -> the current 'contemporary' message for enabling the analog inputs is:

[analogIns pinumber 1=on; 0=off(
f.e. to enable analog pin 1:
[analogIns 1 1(
correct me if i'm wrong!

 > i don't know why this is commented with (optional)

I must have another version of the help patch, as I don't see such a comment

right behind the [pd SWITCHING-INPUTS] is a comment "<- example of switching inputs
on and off (optional)"

How are the messages you're talking about?

i guess it's a firmata peculiarity that you've explicit have to enable
the analog pins as in arduino they are enabled by default - but correct
me if i'm wrong.

Yes, I guess what you have to explicitly enable is to have the firmware _send_
the values to the computer. It would be
undesirable to have a constant flood of values of all pins whether you use them
or not.
jep right so with firmata the analogIns have to be enabled explicitly to use them. i think the (optional) comment
somehow makes it ambiguous. as told i'll try to consider this in the improvements we're working on!

in the last subpatch [pd SWITCHING-INPUTS] you'll find the apropriate messages. i don't know why this is commented with
(optional) but maybe this - also due to this thread - should be placed more prominent within the help-patch.
as mentioned by roman we're currently doing some improvements on the whole pduino dingdongs & i'll try to find a

I'm also quite interested in having the [arduino] working properly. I
didn't find any bugs recently, though. However, if you provide a
step-by-step guide about how to reproduce a problem, I (and probably
Olsen also) might be able to help,

Ok, the problem is that in my case I'm not sure whether I'm experiencing
an issue, an incorrectness in the test patch, or just my lack of
knowledge of how it is _expected_ to behave.

With both old and new versions of the StandardFirmata firmware the
following message enables analog input from pin A0 (i.e. pin 14):

"analogIns 0 1" (0 means A0 and 1 means on)

But in the test patch this is enclosed in a subpatch calles "old
analog/digital controls" so is it supposed to be obsolete?

The only other way I've seemed to find to enable input from analog pin
A0 is:

"pinMode 14 analog"

which seems to be the "suggested" way in the test patch (offered with
the pink grid on the upper-right part of the patch),

but this only works with OLD versions of StandardFirmata.

So it looks like either:
a. there is a third, current, non-obsolete, recommended way of doing
that which I don't know
b. the "suggested" way is the old one and the one documented as "old" is
actually the new one (but I don't think so, that's not what Chris said)
c. something isn't working right

The same happens with both Arduino 2009 (with the "StandardFirmata"
sketch) and with an Arduino UNO (with the
StandardFirmata_2_2_for_UNO_0_3). Both sketches are those that ship with
the latest package of the Arduino IDE for Debian sid.

The older StandardFirmata sketch where the "pinMode N analog" message
worked were taken from an older version of the arduino package for
Ubuntu from the official repository, but I don't remember the version
number.

[PD] 0.42.5 extended pix_mix segmentation fault

2011-03-08 Thread olsen

Buenas

the video mixer described on the https://gem.iem.at/docs/tutorials/PureDataGEMVideoMixerTutorialVideo segfaults on my
computer as soon as one of the videos come to an end - both Videos are same size & mjpeg-codec.

This happens on Ubuntu 10.04 with 0.42.5 extended. Same patch and videos runnning
flawlessly using pd-vanilla & GEM-svn.
On a OSX machine and 0.42.5 extended also no problemo except the video on osx
are looping by default and on Linux not.

any hints welcome

[PD] [PD-announce] 3rd International Symposium on Ambisonics and Spherical Acoustics

2011-03-01 Thread Erika Olsen
3rd International Symposium on Ambisonics and Spherical Acoustics
June 2-3, 2011
Lexington, Kentucky, USA
www.vis.uky.edu/ambisonics2011<http://www.vis.uky.edu/ambisonics2011>

Dear Colleagues,

Please note that the deadline for the submission of extended abstracts has been
extended to March 9, 2011.

Please find the original call for papers with the updated dates below.

We would like to announce the 3rd International Symposium on Ambisonics and
Spherical Acoustics, which will be organized by the Center for Visualization
and Virtual Environments at the University of Kentucky. The Symposium will be
held to provide an intensive exchange between industrial and academic
researchers working in various research areas on spherical acoustics.

The field of spatial sound reproduction is interdisciplinary by nature and
closely related to a number of computer science and engineering areas such as
acoustics, mathematics, signal processing, and perception. The symposium
focuses on discussing the various problems and solutions concerning the
capture, analysis, and re-synthesis of sound fields applying spherical
acoustics; for example higher-order Ambisonics (HOA), and spherical microphone
arrays.

The symposium is going to be divided into oral presentations (keynotes and
submissions), poster sessions, and will also feature demos and artistic
performances. This symposium will benefit from a hemi-spherical loudspeaker
array that will be installed in the Digital Amphitheater of the newly
inaugurated Davis Marksbury Building.

Original contributions are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following
topics:

* General considerations on spherical acoustics theory
* Ambisonic for sound scene reproduction and virtual acoustic environments
* Spherical microphone array systems and signal processing
* Capture and analysis of radiation patterns
* Spherical acoustic holography
* Synthesis of directional and focused sound sources
* Spherical loudspeaker array systems and signal processing
* Theoretical considerations on comparative subjective and objective studies
* Standardization, exchange, implementation and hardware issues

__PWM

very nice! i went back to my flock of arduinos for testing.
with the duemilanueve/328 ev'ry thing seems to work fine!
though with the Mega there's some lack in the well-behaviour that i
would like to report:

__DigitalInput
No DigitalInput on Pins 0 to 8 and 12&13
Putting a physical digital input on pin 9 to 11 in pduino the state
for all these pins is always displayed on digital input 12!

__DigitalOutput
DigitalOutput only on Pin 10-13 and to get pin 13 high i've to
checkerbox pin 15 in pduino

Seems there's some kind of trouble with the Pin settings and their
represenation in pduino.

__PWM
pwm output is working on the proper Pins & from Pin 2 to 10 & 13 - on
Pin 11 and 12 i could not get any pwm out.

__servo
servo output is working on the proper Pins & from Pin 2 to 13!

__AnalogInput
Pin 0-7 giving here proper input

i'll get the nano testing within the next days & also try to get my
hands dirty for some testing on OSX
if there's anything else i could help ping me up!
thanks again for this nice piece of software! to my experience so far
for pd/arduino-newbies pduino is pretty much facilitating sensorymotor
processing!
thumbs up & salutis

Now that Firmata 2.1 is released and included in Arduino 0018, we
have a new beta release for the Pduino [arduino] object. There were
lots of cleanups and fixes on test and help patch, and the addition
of symbols like "input", "analog", etc. to the [pinMode ( message.
http://at.or.at/hans/pd/objects.html#pduino
I tested this on a Diecimila and original Arduino. These are the only
Arduinos I have, so testing and bug reports on those are very
helpful. There are no outstanding bugs that I know of, if I hear of
no other bugs, I think this one will be the final release!

Re: [PD] pd with pulse?

2010-07-27 Thread olsen

ej pat
i was hasseling around with this too - so due to my research there're two ways
to sail round this -
basically you have to route your applications using pulseaudio or alsa thru
jack.
the other day i was using the jack with alsa layout but currently i'm running the version jack with pulseaudio though
with this layout pulseaudio gets kicked out ev'ry now & then...

_jack with pulseaudio
sudo aptitude install pulseaudio-module-jack

execute this (i put this in my jack options in the 'Execute script on startup'
section)
pulseaudio --kill && sleep 2 && pulseaudio --start -n --fail -F
/home/olsen/.pulse/jackd.pa
also on the mentioned kickouts execute this line again - i do not remember where the jackd.pa file came frome just in
case i attached it!

_jack with alsa
think this can be skipped in 10.04

-
sudo apt-get source libjack0
cd jack-audio-connection-kit-0.116.1
configure & make
cp ./drivers/alsa/.libs/jack_alsa.so /usr/lib/jack/
-

put the following in a .asoundrc file in your homedirectory
from http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Jack_%28plugin%29:

pcm.!default {
 type plug
 slave { pcm "jack" }

 hint {
   show on
   description "My default"
 }

}

pcm.jack {
 type jack
 playback_ports {
 0 alsa_pcm:playback_1
 1 alsa_pcm:playback_2
 }
 capture_ports {
 0 alsa_pcm:capture_1
 1 alsa_pcm:capture_2
 }
}

ctl.mixer0 {
 type hw
 card 0
}

hope this helps

i think the choices are alsa and jack. jack would be a good choice for
everything. You can connect audio between applications, and even
pulseaudio can send audio to jack. my pd version dont work well with
jack, I dont know why. Maybe I did something wrong during instalation.

I would second jack for getting the best performance, although setting
up jack sink with pulseaudio can be a pain and jack will usually block
applications which aren't jack-aware (browser etc.).

If really in desperate need of pd while some other audio is on you may
do something as hacky as:

padsp pd[extended] -oss -audiobuf 80 -noadc

padsp is actually a pulseaudio OSS wrapper. Of course your mileage may
vary... For example on my system I have to suppress audio input (-noadc)
to have this working and bring latency up a bit.

Maybe you could use different sets of them, each one with strong
intervallic characteristics, for different "sections" of your tune...

It would de-emphasise the fact that all the measures are connected by a
magic pattern that constantly refers to parts of itself throughout the
piece. It's a kind of fractal score, almost.

Actually, part of the score appeared as a stock photo in a newspaper
recently, which I saw on the same day you wrote that mail :

like that! though the tracks are nice too - thanks for sharing man!

the firmata firmware would need also some tweak since the

hello,
When I use the abstraction [arduino] or [comport] object
the numbers of the digital outputs (pins) of the arduino
hardware
don't match with the output's numbers of the patch.

for example, when i send 1 to digital output "12" from
puredata the led connected to digital out 12 don't turn
on but ...but turn on in digital out "14"...

only works pins from 10- 13 but 0- 9 dont't work.

When I've tested from the arduino's software with a
sketch there aren't any problem, all works fine.

Is it a [comport]r or "Firmata" problem?
I have osx 10.5 and arduino mega.

Any suggestions?.thanks a lot!!!

I've tried the lucid nightly build from 7th May (A couple of random

repository (Jaunty version), which had unsatisfiable dependencies.

Anyone doing better?

I put ubuntu10.04-netbook-i386 onto a mini-itx with via nano cpu.
Today's pd-extended from
http://autobuild.puredata.info/auto-build/2010-05-08/Pd-0.42.5-extended-20100508-ubuntu-lucid-i386.deb
...seems to run OK, but not in -rt, so the sound is quite glitchy.
With -rt it starts up but hangs with the watchdog message if I try to do
anything with it.

As a quick'n'dirty workaround, I just copied pd-watchdog from the
vanilla to /usr/lib/pd/bin/, which finally made it possible to run the
nightly builds with -rt.

Seems time for a bug report.

[#camera] autoconnects only when you give it an argument. In practice

NIME: New Interfaces for Musical Expression.
NIME: creating new performance tools for digital music.
http://itp.nyu.edu/nime/show/

In the eighth annual NIME concert, performers will play a series of
newly designed electronic instruments that aim to keep the "live" in
the live performance of digital music.

Electronic music is usually played with a keyboard and mouse. Laptop
musicians often sit at a desk and give performances that are little
more than watching someone make "office gestures." The idea behind
NIME is to go beyond the mouse and keyboard and beyond even piano keys
and drum pads. It seeks to present performance systems that make the
most out of the new opportunities for musical expression that digital
technology offers.

This year's NIME concert will feature such innovations as a musically
enhanced sewing machine, sonified floor tiles, performative knitting
needles, turntablism for live instrumentalists, electronically
controlled cartoon antics, novel realizations of the rock guitar, and
a host of other exciting approaches to the creation of music.

NIME is an end-of-semester performance by 16 graduate student artists
from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU.

Entry is $7 (Free for NYU ID holders)

Hi

for an interactive installation constructed with PureData we developed
using OpenFrameworks an app that allows to display and control videos,
images and webcam video streams. We controlled it via OSC with a set of
messages from PureData, so we wrote a PD patch that explains all OSC
messages but also some abstractions that wrap the OSC messages into some
objects, again this is to be used by students woth little knowledge of
PD. I also wanted to implement some movement detection but since this
was not finally used in the installation it is not really working well.

All this could be done with GEM but we needed to get the sound track of
the video files played with the video. I just thought it would be nice
to share it so this is the download link for the source and binaries.
Detailed info about the OSC messages and all features implemented are
included in the readme file within the download folder

data from the built-in light sensors.

It's included in the nightly builds as the 'apple' library, check
5.reference -> apple in the Help Browser for help patches.

Also, this should be pretty easy to do for other computers. For
example, the Thinkpad features are pretty well documented under
Windows and GNU/Linux:

so seems like you've an old gem version(0.90) installed
replace this one with your actual compiled version.

why are you opening pd with pasuspender?

and on putting a gemwin object, everything comes crashing down.

you could also get the current gem svn with:
svn co https://pd-gem.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pd-gem pd-gem
and configure it with:
 ./configure --with-libv4l2 --with-pd=/pathtopdsources/
don't forget to install libv4l & libv4l-dev
then set the driver of pix_video with a driver v4l2 message & it should
work without the LD workaround!

hi jim,

I don't know what that error message is.

you should get the latest gem from svn and compile with

libv4l-devel
or libv4l-dev, i don't know how it's called in jaunty.

that seems to be solving many people's problems including my

own.
there is a bunch of posts about it.

Thanks everyone. Yes it looks like I must have been using v4l2. This
solved my problem

same with gem 0.92-1

./configure: line 3005: `GEM_ARG_ENABLE(PIC, PositionIndependentCode

simple: the version of Gem you are using has been compiled without
libv4l support.
whoever built the package has either not enabled libv4l-support (there
is a new flag in Gem's configure called --without-ALL which disables
everything so you have to manually re-enable whatever you want; this is
meant for package-maintainers so they have better control about what
features the package will have) or there was no libv4l-dev installed on
the build machine.
solutions:
- build Gem yourself and make sure that you have all relevant packages
installed (in your case, don't forget libv4l-dev)
- ask the person who built your package to enable libv4l

eo johannes thanks & pardon at the same time for using your brain to get
closer to hit the moving target!
me & my brain was trying to find the infos about the build-requisites on
puredata.info you mentioned but fruitless - so far i had to install:

libfftw3-dev
ladspa-sdk
libogg-dev
libvorbis-dev
libmp3lame-dev
libspeex-dev
libgsl0-dev
libglut3-dev
libdv4-dev
liblo0-dev
dssi-dev

into another:
install -p
/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/pidip/*.pd_linux
/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/packages/linux_make/build//usr/lib/pd/extra/pidip
install: cannot stat
`/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/pidip/*.pd_linux': No
such file or directory

make[2]: *** [pidip_install] Error 1

make[1]: *** [externals_install] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/packages'
make: *** [install] Error 2

seems this had been an issue:

good.

but straight into:

cc -DPD -I/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/pd/src -Wall -W -ggdb
-I/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/Gem/src
-I/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/pdp/include -DUNIX
-Dunix -DDL_OPEN -fPIC -O2 -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer -o
"/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/bsaylor/partconv~.o" -c

personally i don't feel any responsibility for "bsaylor"

"/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/bsaylor/partconv~.c"
/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/bsaylor/partconv~.c:34:19:
error: fftw3.h: No such file or directory
/home/olsen/pd/pd-extended/pure-data/externals/bsaylor/partconv~.c:51:
error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before ‘fftwf_complex’
...

a good idea is always to find the line that actually threw the error and
try to find out why. (one way to find out why is to just ask; another
way is to go and google; a third way is to use your brains; all of them
have their pros and cons :-))
on close inspection you might notice that it has something todo with
"fftw" (it cannot find a file "fftw3.h" and then throws and error about
"fftwf_complex")

now why on earth are you missing a file "fftw3.h"?
probably because nobody installed it.
you could use http://packages.ubuntu.org to find out which package
contains this file and install. (it might be libfftw3-dev,...)

you will eventually have even more packages not installed.
you can either try to find them out by yourself. alternatively there is
a description on puredata.info that will tell you which
build-prerequisites there are on debian/ubuntu systems.

(indeed, the autobuild script should eventually check for these; but
keep in mind that the entire svn is a moving target...)

the "-ldts" flag is pulled in from avifile's pkg-config.
this means, that properly linking against libavifile requires to also
link against libdts. unfortunately libavifile-dev does not depend on
libdts thus you get the error.

the solutions are:
- install libdts
- make libavifile's pkg-config not depend on libdts if it is not needed
or make the libavifile-dev package depend on libdts if it is needed.
obviously this is a packaging bug (cf.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=492040; if you feel
this is correct and you feel it might help, you could as well file a bug
report to ubuntu)

hm i thought i went thru this procedure though a 2.service verified
the opposite... sorry for the wind.
anyway now its working almost perfect: nice linear analog input &
servo on ev'ry pin - that's topfenpalatschinken!!
i confirm this on diecimila with 168, duemilanueve with atmega328 &
arduino mega
only on the mega there still some mixup on the digitalOut Pins: led 13
lights up by checkboxing the digitalOut_15 in arduino-test and on
checkboxing digitalOut_13 pin_11 gets high.

buenas yves
coolio & bueno at the same time gettin more opencv-features into pd - i

bugs i would like to report & hunt:

using the precompiled .deb package for jaunty is demanding for
libcxcore.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
which is not part of jaunty at list apt-file searchin' for
libcxcore.so.2 gives me nothing -

compiling it from source works except a few warnings
but on opening the help patches undefined symbols are reported:
f.e.
...
/home/olsen/pd/extra/pix_opencv/pix_opencv_bgstats.pd_linux:
/home/olsen/pd/extra/pix_opencv/pix_opencv_bgstats.pd_linux: undefined
symbol: _ZNK12GemException6reportEv

or
...
pix_opencv_colorfilt.pd_linux: undefined symbol: _ZNK12GemException6reportEv
...
this is on an updated ubuntu jaunty with pd-0.41-4
and gem-0.91.0. let me know if more info's needed!

##
version 0.2-rc4 ( codename BALTANIK )

* fixed colorspace problems for mac ppc
* contours detection objects ( hu_compare and pgh_compare )
now give the posititon of matching contours.
* a folder of examples have been added,
they should work with pd-extended.

##

you can find binaries for mac osx and linux packages on the wiki
as well as the source code ( for those who want to compile it ) here :

some videos of the workshop have been published here :

well, lluis mainly fixed the problems

Re: [PD] [PD-announce] Linear Cue System

"Linear Cue System" is an abstraction collection for Pure Data. This
system was developed to simplify the use of Pd for live arts, during the
creation of linear show. It allows an easy control and modification of
temporal evolution of various parts of a Pd patch.

The use of this system allows to deal with various "states" using Pd
(sound, light, images), and transition through these states. It is
dedicated to facilitate both the creation of the program (adding and
modifying states and there transitions), and the exploitation of the
states during rehearsals (non linear navigation).

Re: [PD] Pduino 0.5/Firmata 2.1 third beta release

2009-09-02 Thread olsen

hi hans
i just tested the analog inputs on this version & strangely enough the
0-5V i get from the circuit with the potential divider immediately
breaks down asa i connect it to the analogPin from the arduino - using
arduino analogInput i get regular values from the sensor.

this is happening just on StandardFirmata2.1 using 2.0 it behaves as usual.

this a final release:

- (Pduino) fixed bug in digital input with pins 7, 15, 23, etc.
- (Firmata) fixed crasher bug in Firmata with analog input
- (Firmata) included old version of StandardFirmata set @ 115200 to ease

[PD] webcam color switch problem

2009-06-09 Thread olsen wolf
Hi there
i've a problem with the color settings of my logitech webcam running
in ubuntu 9.04.
in gem the camera is running fine although i've to set export
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so.
in pdp or in camstream the camera switches the color from blue to red
- i tried working around this by puting the following line in my
/etc/modprobe.d/options file: options gspca force_rgb=1
but no success.
anyone else experienced this problem?
thanks for any hints

so far he's been trying to maintain it as much as possible - sometimes

to be done. but so far ev'rything should be on the line. recently
php-admin was installed for user management & should be up &
functional. the spam issue we've discussed on the list & i got the
consensus to clean up the mess by hand.
So if there's any lack regarding the hosting or enhancements please
