Re: What Bugs Me Most about the K-01 Aesthetics
Here's an experiment, take your K5 mount a 200mm or longer lens on it put it into live view hold it at arms length and take a few pictures. Then try a 300mm. Compare your results to using the eye level view finder. Don't tell me you always use a tripod with long lenses. I know you'd be fibbin'. If you use a monopod the issue is worse. It will be just impossible to use one properly. On 2/11/2012 1:22 AM, Tim Bray wrote: Why do we know that long lenses will be problematic? Re: OT: Light Room 3 bargain
LR3 is 50% off from Adobe until March 5th, which probably indicates that LR4 will be released for real around that time. The previous upgrade from 2 to 3 was $99, so if you buy LR3 now, you'll want to compare the retail price for LR4 to the price of LR3 plus the upgrade. (there is no guarantee that it will be $99 again, of course). She's an attractive young lady, and while the photo seems technically accomplished (other than the distracting textile object behind her), it does not flatter her. There's a very simple fix for that: in Photoshop (or Gimp, etc.) squeeze the image's width (only width!) by about 3%. Ie: unlock the keep aspect ratio option in the resize or use Free Transform. Re: PESO - Snow on Lakeshore
Quoting frank theriault knarftheria...@gmail.com: Hopefully you're not getting tired of all these streetcar photos, but I like streetcars, so there! ;-) Not at all. Two things that I'm not likely to see here are snow and streetcars (trams as we call them). At one stage Sydney had one of the largest tram networks in the world but in the 1950s the politicians decided that buses were the future and ripped the entire system up. We now have a small and relatively new light rail line to the inner western suburbs and there is continual talk of reinstating trams to the centre of Sydney, but I'm not holding my breath. We had a light snow a couple of weeks ago (now all melted) and I thought the Long Branch Car looked kind of nice heading through it: http://knarfinthecity.blogspot.com/2012/02/snow-on-lakeshore.html Hope you enjoy.
