Re: PESO: Cockerill Ougree
What are we looking at? I missed the beginning. The latitude of your color film at that lighting situation is excellent! I am amazed at the detail I see in the foreground while the industrial situation in the background is exposed well too. You were asking miracles from your film and you got it. I would never have attempted that shot with the dramatically differring lighting. I am a chicken I guess. Maybe as a new digital user I can try to break some rules I think the shot is excellent...but that's just ME Yodar --- Ralf R. extra *istDL camera to computer cable
Adorama backordered me on the *istDL camera to computer cable and I canceled and got it from a Pentax distibutor $4.00 more than Pentax sells it for (yeah! I know!) Adorama shipped today anybody need the extra one for $10.00 in the US? --- John Bailey [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Mark, Thanks for posting the firewire card reader link. I didn't know that was a multi reader available. I've only seen the CF kind. John snip downloading - especially with an eye toward a couple of jobs coming up - so I decided to look into getting an IEEE1394 card reader. And with the prospect of the new K10D and SD cards (g...) in the near future, a multi-format, or at least CF and SD, reader seemed the way to go. Surprisingly enough, there aren't a lot of them around. I ended up ordering an Addonics AESDMD2FW Mini Digidrive. It arrived yesterday and though I don't have another Firewire card reader with which to compare it, I can certainly tell that it's much faster than my current USB2 card reader. (Over twice as fast, which leads me to suspect that my old card reader isn't operating at full USB2 speed, but that's another story...) Jack, That is an excellent picture. Is it available commercially ? It would make an excellent LARGE print to mount for display in one's home I'd love to order a high quality print or down load a high rees image. Re: just stopping by
I have a small stable of Pentax lenses and they are not described as old they are classic My spotties's meters WORK and I prefer my Sekonic L-28C incident light meter. Yeah, I DO use the Pentax spotmeter for casual work, but My Sekonic has save me' arse too many times to disregard. besides, it needS NO BATTERIES! Tell me, does Yorkshire have PUBS older then the US? One of my friends is a Yorkshireman who rubbed that salt in my wounds once when I served him barbequed roast TURKEY...He and his family stripped it to the carcass. Best regards! I have been taking photos for a couple of months - no idea what brought it on. Some kind of madness. I mostly enjoy using my father's old Pentax Spotmatic F with a broken lightmeter. I have another Spotmatic (not F) which actually works, but I really don't enjoy fiddling about with that black metering switch on the side. I'm more of a film type I think. I only really enjoy using the D-SLR when I stick old M42 Asahi Super Multi Coated Takumar lenses onto it. So I consider the results of that to be at least half-Pentax. I am obsessed with old Takumar lenses, since they seem to have magical qualities of sharpness mixed with smoothness that I can't get any other way. They almost seem to melt things, like the brickwork here: http://www.jimkerslake.uklinux.net/pentax/oiljug.jpg So - well - Hi then :-) -- jim Yodar Words MEAN things. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net

My main bodies are the CM-3 and LX though as the meter is broken on my SP and I don't like Match-needle much anyways.
