Re: Peso Blue flower
Beautiful, Don!! Love them Sharp, clean, brilliant, exposures. Prospective very well chosen and well done DOF. If you will allow one suggestion, I'd crop about 2/3 of an inch off the left edge of Blue Flower to partially narrow the clump of leaf blades. If I cover that area, it feels a bit more comfortable to me. Nice action portrait. The hand seems to indicate he is commenting. Colorful strip across the top might be cropped, being careful not to let the top edge get uncomfortably close to his head. Great, Paul. Sounds like a classy spot. Recognized two of the these terrific images and may have, also, seen the very clever turtle and fish catch. Congrats! The event is called The Green Show, and it's at a non-profit gallery and studio called 555. It's at 5716 Michigan Avenue in the city. It opens tomorrow, and I'll be there for a short time, but probably won't stay long. The show will hang through June 27, but the gallery is open only on Saturday afternoons and by appointment. These are the pics, although I did new renderings of the first two: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7511974size=lg http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3526907size=lg http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6505068 The first two are definitely in the show, the third is a maybe. I printed all three on that paper Mark recommended: Ilford Gallerie Gold Fibre Silk. I used the ICC profile that Epson supplies for the R2400. It provided a very close match of my screen image. I mounted the prints under mats that are of what I would call a light avocado color in mahogany frames. BTW, I find the Ilford paper very similar in rendering to Epson Ultra Premium Luster. However, it's thicker and a wee bit glossier. It prints very nice. Thanks Mark!
