Re: Christmas Day Pix
Kenneth, Glad you took the time to look and comment. I have asked my father about the negatives. He threw them all out. I am not sure why the batch I found still survive. I am planning on getting a print of this made and presenting it to my mother. I am sure that she has forgotten all about this shot. Likewise, I found some shots my father took of the house where he was born, and of a friend of his driving an oxen cart in Honduras. I hope he likes them and puts them up on the wall of his room. Yes, I understand about those producing 'art', but I still think that much can be learned from the 'outtakes'. I am definitely not an 'art' photographer, César Panama City, Florida Kenneth Waller wrote: Caesar, glad you found those negatives. Frank Yes, I saw my name on your post - even responded to it :-) I am working my way to keeping up with the list - you guys make it difficult, very difficult ;-P I am glad you took a look at the photo from a long time ago. As to what happened? Who knows? By the way, I don't think we have ever seen one of you as a kid :-) Funny though, during this past holiday season my parents have had quite a few visitors. These are people I have not seen in over 15 years! To a person they all commented that I have not changed since they last saw me. Maybe I have a 'Portrait of Dorian Grey' (sic?) somewhere that I am not aware of. I even heard the same thing from one cousin I saw in NYC along with another who has seen me on a more frequent basis. If only I could market this, César Panama City, Florida frank theriault wrote: On Wed, 05 Jan 2005 21:55:00 -0600, Cesar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hi Frank! Your name was mentioned (by me) in another thread tonight. A new member was wondering what the plural of Pentax is, and of course I told him Pentaxen. Was that one of your little gems? If not, do you remember who coined the phrase? BTW, great pic of your mom. And, you say that's you? What the hell happened? You were actually a pretty cute kid! cheers, frank

She wanted a skateboard s bad. Then, on Christmas day there's like 10 inches of snow outside, so she couldn't use it outdoors. Normally, she wouldn't be allowed to use the board inside, but we made an exception for Christmas day! Hi Frank "First fall" is my favorite snapshot because it made me smile ;-) Must have been a wonderful Santa party... Flash seems to make "it" sharp or does that effect come from the color film (vbg)? greetings Markus >> >>Anyway, just a bunch of fun snapshots: >> >>http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ >> >>As you can see, we all got totally spoiled by Santa, even my ex-wife, >>who you'll not see here, as I was under strict orders not to take any >>photos of her. >> >>It was a great Christmas! >> >>cheers, >>frank >>-- >>"Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson >> >>
Christmas Day Pix
All taken with the LX, Vivitar S1 24-48, Vivitar 3700 ttl flash. These are the first photos I've gotten back using the Omni Pocket-Bounce on the flash, and I quite like it. Softens things considerably, and widens the flash for those wide-angle shots. Anyway, just a bunch of fun snapshots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ As you can see, we all got totally spoiled by Santa, even my ex-wife, who you'll not see here, as I was under strict orders not to take any photos of her. It was a great Christmas! cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
